Here are two sets of me (Magneto/Ironman/Dr.Doom) vs my sparring partner (Zero/Dante/Strider) I’m still trying to learn matchups, and failing to move how I want to with Dr.Doom.

Yeah its not an abusive tactic but there are some uses to it. I’m still trying to figure out good uses for it. I’ve been working on frame traps with it coupled with assists and then you can also do something to negate advanceguard like tri-dash j.M (Land) Dash forward into a SJC Rocks. Never actually used it in matches but it seems a viable alternative to Doom not being able to cancel dash into normals.
One thing that is great for neutral with this is Dash + Vajra Assist >> SJC >> Heavy Plasma Beam. If it lands then you get a hard knockdown into a full combo.

Not sure how useful this may be, but I discovered this accidentally while trying to do something completely different. You might be able to call an assist and do a meaty finger lasers or plasma beam on wakeup in the corner and catch someone pressing a button. Or perhaps it’s just impractical. Thought it was worth posting, nonetheless.

I have no idea, probably one of those one in a million situations where a number of factors aligned and doom randomly teleported. Doubt it can be recreated.
