You can keep saying that but the main spriter Ahruon constantly responds to ppl on the youtube vids saying they’re still working on it
They updated they’re website September saying they finished all the assists characters

I have such high hopes for this project but it makes me wonder. Assuming the game turns out good, doesn’t have any stupid shit in it like most M.U.G.E.N. projects do, etc., can a scene really form around a fan game?
I’d like to think that the FG community would just play what’s good rather than limit themselves to what’s “official” or just run from M.U.G.E.N. just because it’s M.U.G.E.N. but I have my doubts.
It looks great, and more importantly it seems fun, so yeah if it had any kind of support I would definitely be interested in forming a scene.
I think they just need to trim the playable characters down to a manageable level, have some assists and go from there. Just they have extremely lofty goals right now and it’s just to much, bundled with the fact that they haven’t released it in a playable form I just wonder if it will ever come out.
@ MOB712: That is great and all I guess, but he said the same thing a year ago and we still have hardly anything to show from it. I’ll be amazed and a little less cynical when we can play the damn thing.
Not having any info or demo isn’t really a problem so long as they have clear goalposts they can see. Sometimes fan games go overboard and never find fans because the creators become so enamored with making the “perfect” game they never manage to finish since they’re always thinking of new things to add and tweak. Permanent beta status.
If these guys know ahead of time at what point the game can be considered done then it’s no big deal if they keep quiet. But if it’s going to be in a perpetual state of “we’re adding new characters” then without a release by the time anybody gets to play it it’s going to already have faded into obscurity.
I would like to know roughly the percentage of completeness, though, just to give an idea of whether or not we’ll be playing this in a couple of months…or in a couple of years.
I heard about this thing a couple years ago… expecting to wait a couple more lol
That would be nice, but it’s already been two years and we have nothing much to show for it. I’d be extremely happy to be playing it within a few months, but realistically I don’t see that happening.
I can’t really tell for sure because the site is in Spanish, but I thought Blue cards were playable characters. If true just look at the insane amount there is, no way you can balance that or take the time to make each character unique in such an amount of time. That list used to be smaller, it’s perpetually grown since the project started.
Seriously they need just about 12-30 characters (30 is still high, but easier to deal with), about 20 or so assist characters and a few modes and just let people rip into it. Then they can patch problems, patch in characters at their leisure while listening to support from the player base and forming a scene.
I just REALLY want to play lol.
EDIT: Wait I think the letter on the card signifies what type they are, so not all Blue are playable. If only I could read Spanish.
from the faq:
Lmao I forgot about this game. I remember seeing vids of this game like years ago and damn, it’s STILL not released?
Blue cards are non-original characters, for the most part. That’s all it means.
If there is anything simple you guys want translated, I should be able to do it.
Two years worth of development time for a game like this and a team of humble size and resources is actually fully understandable. If this isn’t going to be just some mishmash of random like most M.U.G.E.N. projects and instead uses the tool to it’s full potential I wouldn’t mind if a projected release isn’t for another year or so. But a rough estimate would be nice.
I’ve always liked the Tales series for the battle engines and a fighting game based on it sounds awesome. Does M.U.G.E.N. support netplay? I haven’t messed with it much since around 2000 when it was mostly used for nude versions of Mai and Felicia.
The King of Fighters: Zillion project actually did this and it came out fantastic. Original characters, made from sprite edits, are also included and balanced fairly well.
New vid released:
the super that crono use at the end of the 1st round was GDLK
Looks better everytime a new vid comes out.
Doesn’t work and the rar file SC1 needs a password.
you gotta say this is the most anticipated mugen game up to date. for now, I’m trying to figure out a way to get my hands on a copy of that Street fighter Megamix…
but in other news, scroll down in this link to see some of the changes yet to be posted on a mugen forum site. it’s quite organized;

He’s AbyssWolf
Ahruon (AbyssWolf) and Ork (Orkimedes) were both friends of mine when we were all part of an RPGMaker2000 site long ago. They stuck to their spriting skills, and it’s really paid off. It’s really interesting, 10 years later, to see how far they’ve come.
The fact that Soma is in has me excited for this game all of a sudden <3
Its a bummer Magus wasn’t included with the other gang :\ I know he is in the game though
They dun did it again~!
Seeing all that grand sprite work in action is truly something to behold.
