Honestly, that doesn’t sound bad but they say the upcoming Ant-Man is supposed to be the ‘Heist type movie’ and the fact is “Now you see Me” has already came out and I hear is also getting a sequel.
I like how Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch need to be Magneto’s kids when they spent 20 years of their existence with him not being their father. Twins being Mags kids is only important in an X-Men story. There’s no X-Men here.
Strange having powers is only important to the comics…this isn’t the comics.
Thanos being a legitimate cosmic powerhouse is only in the comics…he can be a comedian only pretending to be a villain cause LOLZ it would be more funny.
Black panther also doesn’t need to be black…make him asian and a inner city street thief instead cause all his origin shit is only applicable to the comics.
Because in the end, everyone on the forum won’t ignore him so we’ll end up seeing half the crap being said anyway. It’s a pointless ignore unless EVERYONE does it.
I’ll humor you. Black Panther, much like Luke Cage, Falcon, and Storm, is defined by his ethnicity. That is essence of who he is.
Fact is Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch aren’t defined by Magneto’s kids. We as the fans pushed that title on them. They’re also not defined by being mutants. The characters power sets and such makes it to where you can change up some stuff origins wise and you’re good to go.
Fact 1: QS and witch are very much defined by their relationship to magneto. In fact some if not all of the most defining moments for those characters are all based in their relationship to magneto and their mutant heritage. I mentioned this before but denying how important magneto is to QS and witch is like denying batman isnt important to nightwing or that vegeta isn’t important to trunks.
Fact 2: falcon,panther and storm could easily be changed to any of end ethnic group and still carry the same presence according to your logic. The main theme of those characters is that they are a racial minority…change them into Asians or Greeks and it would still accomplish the same effect according to the logic posited by this thread. I bet your one of the people who thought the mandarin was a great creative move in IM3.
If thats the case, you should be more outraged that FOX won’t be using the relationship with QS and Magneto. Fact is, I understand why Marvel Studio’s is using both characters because they are Avenger characters. So they have an excuse to not reference it.
And No, you couldn’t change Falcon, Panther, and Storm to any other ethnicity. Again, those characters race is a defining characteristic of who they are.
