I logged on, saw 117 new pos, got excited about maybe some new news or something…
instead its useless arguing over Spiderman.
Spiderman an integral part of Avengers? I know I don’t follow the comic anymore, but that actually is perfect when I say this - I didn’t even KNOW spiderman was an Avenger. That’s how integral he is. When I think Avengers, I think of Vision before Spiderman. I think She Hulk before spiderman. The way the Marvel hype train is, I ‘guess’ Wolverine is an Avenger also since he is on so many teams last I heard.
Shrug I want Marvel to do Wonder Man before DC releases Wonder Woman just to shit on her.

So, you are saying he should be there simply because he’s popular. Not because he’s useful for the team or he accomplishes an important role, but just because he’s famous and popular. For the sales.
Now, that’s a TERRIBLE idea. Remember when they added Venom just because in Spider-Man 3, and it felt forced, contrived and didn’t work or satisfy the fans? That would be exactly the case.
I’d like to see Spider-Man pop up in the MCU universe, but only as a cameo, not as an Avengers member. Spider-Man has always been a sort of a loner. He doesn’t work that much as a team player.
With the difference Flash has been a recurring mainstay in the JL comics, Spider-Man not that much in the Avengers team(s).
So I wasn’t crazy he was a member of Avengers. @akumatrunigga was keeping me up on Wolverine and was like dude is in XForece, Avengers, etc.

They would have probably to restart all their 3 cinematic universes from scratch, it’s not like Wolverine could pop up there just out of the thin air, there’s a huge mythology surrounding the X-Men and the fact they have not mentioned that at all would create serious issues with continuity.
But Wolverine doesn’t give out much in the Avengers universe, he has way more ties with the X-Men, I wouldn’t see a reason of him appearing in the Avengers movies…
I’d like him as an honorary Avenger. Spider-Man has always been about Peter Parker’s ordinary life, not being a full-time big superhero, like The Avengers are.
He was a founding member and stayed from the 60s to the 80’s, then he came back in the JLA volume, which lasted for about 10 years and is one of the most acclaimed eras of the Justice League comics. And he’s back big time on the team since 2011 or so.
But of course, as you base your knowledge about Justice League solely in the JLU TV show… LOL. I wouldn’t be surprised if you say Spider-Man is the main character of The Avengers simply because of that Ultimate Spider-Man TV show XD

Pretty much every hero has joined the Avengers at one time or another. Daredevil was the last big holdout and he got in a couple years ago.
makes me miss those flash videos that had a bunch of marvel spoofs where wolverine is literally running around the globe from team to team tired as fuck lol. also he actually had a canadian accent.
…anyways outside the stupidity on this thread I do think this is easily 1 of the best movies. I’m still not hyped for avengers 2 but this is a good film.
