Haha yea everything involving Nick Fury in the SUV had me rollin. He got that A.I. program from Stark, I just know it.
Huh? I’ve never used Tumblr before.
Alright I just saw the movie. Now before people acuse me of just being a hater cause I’m a "comic purist"I just wanna say what’s the big deal in that? I don’t think its a crime to expect a adaptation to have some points of relatability to its source material. Granted I understand the logistics behind movie adaptations but I still don’t see why it’s a issue to at least attempt a faithful adaptation…if things are changed it at least should be replaced with something far more compelling or a pretty good damn reason better be offered to explain the change.
With that said I will admit I’m not the biggest fan of marvel movies. In addition to the changes I also don’t like the "family friendly action comedy"tone almost every marvel movie has. Coming into this movie my expectations were somewhat "meh"so I was very pleased by just how good this film is. Unlike Thor 2 or ironman 3 this movie had a story and characterization that didn’t revolve around gags, slapstick and jokes. There was a real effort to tell a story with characters that have real motivation and development…thankfully we had some actual characters this time around and not just a collection of comedians setting up for the next unfunny 1-liner.
If this film becomes the new standard for marvel movies I can forgive them for the botch adaptations. Really enjoyed a lot of things about it especially the relationship between widow/cap. Good job marvel you impressed me.
So glad that they did Cap right this time. Beating down a dozen niggas in an elevator. charging star right through a minigun, shield slashing like a motherfucker.
I swear the only thing missing was a “Good work soldier!”
Elizabeth Olsen looks pretty hot as Scarlet
That lady who played Scarlet Witch made me think of Rose. Hot <3
LMAO I think I would have wet myself laughing so hard if that happened.
None of the Marvel movies are worth seeing in 3D, I don’t know what it is but they have all really fallen short in that area. Maybe because they all lack wide shots and decent locations so you don’t really take in the environment the characters are in.
Sound however is another thing, this movie really did a good job in that area.
Going now brethren.
I really should’ve listened to the Cap theme to hype myself up.
one highlight in the theatre was when someone yelled ‘fuck your walls’ when cap was gaining meter by charging starring through the offices while chasing the winter soldier.
Saw the movie last night. I love it! Definitely blows Iron Man 3 out of the water and the actions scenes were so good.
Went apeshit seeing Zola on the monitors and the Hydra takeover of Shield. That was an awesome twist. This twist has got me interested in catching up with the Shield show just to see how they will handle the fallout from the film.
If there’s no complaint I have it’s with the Winter Soldier. As someone who is gay for Bucky, I think this movie failed in showing how important Bucky is to Steve. I just take it as the movieverse not developing their relationship to make anyone care.
Well, to be fair, I think that problem came from the first movie. But yeah, the flashback scene they chose to show Bucky’s friendship with Steve wasn’t exactly heartmelting…
Getting tickets for Tuesday to see it with my dad(he’s probably MORE into Marvel than I am,
he grew up with the OG comics. Based revivals doe).
I don’t think my body is ready.
Am gonna have to restrain myself from getting loudly hype. Probably.
Was there Marvel continuity/mythology porn, or was there Marvel continuity/mythology porn, people who seen it so far?
How much, because we all know that YES, it has all of that. lol
If anybody is interested RedLetterMedia did a review on the 1990’s version of Captain America, it’s pretty funny, I’m glad I purged most of the movie out of my memory.
First saw it in manila now here in singapore and the theaters are still packed after more than a week. Movie is so great even my mom loved it partly because it had robert redford in it lol. Finally they shoe cap how awesome he is.
saw the double feature in real 3D on thurs. Was def worth it. for those complaining about the emotionality or lack there of between cap and ws, i suggest you watch the first movie before seeing ws. all you need is in the first one. with it fresh in your mind it all makes sense. but there was enough in ws to get the job done, had they added more then it would have bloated the movie.
“Wanna see my lease?!?” Even in DC white man trying to hold back Nick Fury. Also any body catch the Pulp Fiction Reference at the end?
I felt the exact same way. While I was in the theatre I actually felt Hawkeye should have been there, but logic said he would have been short-changed or it would have simply become Avengers 1.5.
Everything else was exceptionally well done. The banter back and forth was extremely well done…down to “RIGHT”.
Falcon was fleshed out PERFECTLY, fighting was done extremely well, Stan Lee did his thing., etc.
My only complaint I guess is “How long till Cap3?” They need to keep this team together actors & directors.

Even in the first movie Steve and Bucky relationship was underdeveloped. He’s suppose to be the most important person in Steve’s life and first movie doesn’t really show it. The reveal in this game would have a bigger impact their relationship had better development.
Yes I do.
[details=Spoiler]The hypest I got was listening to the list of names that Hydra was keeping tabs on and I heard Steven Strange. I was in the theater by myself like “OH SHIT YES!!!”
Movie was really good all around. The more characters they add to the universe the better it gets, the Hydra agent was the guy that took over Coulson’s role in the BluRay exclusive One Offs. Falcon was sweet and Winter Soldier was spectacular.
RockBogart, next time you need to tell someone to stfu/gtfo please use one of the CapAm super kicks when you can get your hands on those gifs. Steve was kicking people into orbit [/details]
