Capcom, The way to Strenghten Guile is

  • I like the idea of that sweep target combo thing, but i wouldn’t make it off cr.forward. Just make sweep the first hit, then press cr.roundhouse again for the 2nd. Honestly why does Guile even have the double sweep anymore? Shit is one of those archaic things that are just there ‘cause it’s there’.

  • cr.jab cr.strong should be 2f link. Do it by making cr.jab recover 1f faster. I don’t care if it gives him more 1f links that weren’t possible before. I say bring it on.

  • cr.forward should recover faster…a LOT faster. Give it enough advantage on normal hit to 1f link a cr.jab, which should still give it advantage on block (like +1 or +2 according to the way they handled blockstun vs hitstun in sf4). This shit used to be like +6 on block in other games.

  • Make d/f+roundhouse hit crouching opponents, and let it give a real juggle state. This way you can juggle with normal flash kick, or just a fierce or something to reset them. Or a sweep, like Akuma’s juggles!

  • Faster recovery on forward throw. At least let him get a fucking safe meaty boom from it, if not a cross-up opportunity.

  • Increase throw range.

  • Let him ‘juggle’ into air throw, like has been said before. This could be system-wide. Flash kick fadc -> air throw, or flash kick trade -> air throw should be possible.

  • Give far roundhouse more advantage on hit, so that his ch combos work from normal hit (i.e. far roundhouse, sweep). If this gives it more advantage on block, so be it.

the way to strengthen Guile is…

  • Give him his SvC Chaos hairdo

i read rocket launcher? come on man… freaking be realistic… give him a gun. or an assault riffle of some sort thats armor piercing/breaking.

same as sonic boom but with kick.

its guile… he doesnt need more then two moves. give him a better flash kick to deal with cross up and make him 15-20 percent stronger. i really give a rats ass about about anything else… knock down ex booms or a better ultra or easier linked combos, i would really be happy about just those two… if anything else… make all 3 sonic booms quick to recover like the jab

I think his Sonic Booms are recovering fast enough. (Doesn’t he have one of the best projectyle recovery?)
I would like to see a new special move… I know, It wouldn’t be Guile anymore but he would have more options in a match.

He has great fb recovery, but they do the lowest damage and EX doesn’t knock down… he doesn’t need another move, just make the 2 he has work dammit…

I hate Guile’s jump in SFIV. It just feels too loose and unfamilar. I would be happy if they made his jumping height and speed like it was back in Alpha 3 and Super Turbo.

honestly just make his ultra an astral finish. juggles u with the first flash kick then gets on a motorcycle and runs you over.

How about we let him shoot fireballs at 0 frame recovery and he can have as many onscreen as he wants.

and no qfc X3 motion please.
his projectile damage is no problem for me as hes got slowest /fastest one
ultra motion is hard and does damage like shit.
high priority FK.

on the reals this has probably been mentioned but i dont see why guile doesnt have the same recovery on all of his sonic booms, including ex.

just make his ultra qtr. circles. It will change the whole dynamic of guile.

honda has a 30 frame gap between hits on his target combo. it (obviously) doesn’t actually combo on hit.

because balance is kind of a good thing?

How about his built in combo super from CvS2 as his Super this time? Or something similar to Charlie’s. And you have enough time to juggle with Ultra afterwards if they’re in the corner.

I think we can all agree that if they don’t change anything about his current Ultra at least have it do more damage. You think you’ve Ultra’d for the win, and that last flash kick just does…no damage.

I think his ultra does enough damage.

His second Ultra should be his Sonic Typhoon from Street Fighter EX2.

He had the same recovery on all his booms before and it didn’t hurt his balance. Guile was never a top tier, God-like character in any game he was in, besides SF2:WW, where his defense was literally unbeatable.

You’ve obviously never gotten only 1, 2, or 3 hits off his Ultra, which happens more often than the full Ultra hitting.

Do you even play guile? He always had the same recovery on his booms, regardless of strength.

Again, you do not play as guile. I love having his 2nd kick completely whiff, then i get DP FADC Ultra cause the ultra is so damn awful.

well the only way that i can think of to fix his ultra is to make each hit from his ultra to have little knockback. By doing so, it will make the opponent stay very still in the air, allowing the the other ultra attacks to connect.

Or, better yet, just give it the vacuum effect that Rufus’ and Sagat’s ultra’s have. That would fix the problem.

Honestly, idk why Capcom gave them that, but ‘forgot’ about Fei, Guile, Cammy, and Chun…
