Capcom, The way to Strenghten Guile is

to give him 1 new special move - more on that in a minute - because since ST 2 WW, all hes had is 2: sonic boom and jack knife.

the move will be a grab, and since guile is predominantly a charge character, the command will be sonic boom with kick, <- 2 seconds -> K, and not a yoga flame comand. my brother only uses charge characters, he can not perform quater and half circle motions.

The move will see guile rush towards his opponents like his forward x2 dash, but then grab and hurl them into the air. maybe a flash kick without the flash? or hold their head then uppercut??

the move wont do alot of damage but it will set up a few opportunities, like an air grab, or, a flash kick when the foe is landing. most importantly, it will allow guile enough charge time to perform his ultra or super. im not sure if the normal version of this move should only allow strict charge timing…

The EX version of the move should either: have further reach from a distant opponent, or, allow guile to hoist them even further up in the air to allow even more charge time to make sure you can nail the ultra (noob friendly, yes i know:smile:)

Gouken can already perform a grab into ultra, so why not Guile? if anyone needed it, it is guile!! makoto also has a similar move in SF III, so this move would not be new to the SF series

i feel this will also allow guile to be more adventurous, and not always a defending, defensive character. he already has a great air throw, so why not make him stronger in throws all around? please capcom, think about it and let me know what you decide in spring of next year. kthanx

Best Regards Capcom

Guile is unique, because he has two specials. You want to ruin that?

Stopped reading here.

Only thing guile needs is something to follow up an FADC’d flashkick and/or a way to combo into Ultra.

If they do these things, they have to nerf his Sonic Boom however.

why?

thats why this move will be perfect, its still not a garanteed hit as opponent is aware and can avoid it.

Im all for him getting another move.

Guile needs a rocket launcher, and an unblockable full screen ultra, and five sonic booms at the same time at the speed of light. werd

Command Special that knocks down? or funky kick type move?

command special that is basically a grab, which throws opponents high in the air, and when they’re landing guile can attack

His flash kick just needs shoryu like priority and he needs more stun resistance.
His ultra being juggled like 'rog’s buffalo headbutt-ultra would be nice as well.

Handcuffs is what he needs.

No, as in my suggestion was a command normal that knocked down, maybe similar to kens funky kicks. Something that pressured without a charge. A command throw really wouldn’t present very many NEW situations for guile, he can tick into throw already.

Guile having an actual dragon suplex. In the command list it refers to his german suplex as a dragon suplex which is incorrect. He actually used a dragon suplex in street fighter ex which is a full nelson hold into a bridging suplex.

I think that would make an awesome command grab. :lovin: I’m just a big fan of the wrestling move though. I named myself after it and all.

what about the magic throw?

true, but it presents an ultra set-up, something he doesnt have

So you basically want Guile to have Gouken’s back throw? Sounds stupid to me. I just want them to fix his ultra, and give him at least one juggle move not dependent on flash kicks.

Guile doesn’t have to be played as a defensive character. don’t delude yourself.

thats what i said! gouki was a reference, no i dont want him given a back throw

well the idea of any throw into ultra makes me think Gouken. I think a dash attack which juggles could be overpowered and not really fitting to how I think Capcom wants Guile to be played. It’s just that his df.HK has terribly limited usefulness. if that were somehow beefed up to give Guile more freedom to juggle into specials or super/ultra, I’d be content. If Guile virtually stays the same, I’ll either rarely play him, or learn to play him right.

or just leave guiles move set alone, and just buff his current move set and attributes
