Except it does.
he said, she said
I don’t see how one has more credibility than the other…
When Capcom went to look at Guile they probably only upped his footsie game because Dee Jay is just going to end up being THAT much better. I am leaning towards using Dee Jay the most so far (Makoto and Cody are close second and third) because I’m already so use to Guile. Dee Jay is going to have great offensive options, he will be able to turtle well if you’ve been playing guile for some time, and he will have a combo into ultra. I like Guile aesthetically far more than Dee Jay but it’s whatever. I think if I changed to a qcf character I won’t do so hot because I’m slow on executing things like: srk FADC ultra. I never had quick enough reaction for moves like that so I gave Guile a competitive try and charging just works so well for me and people like me. In 3S I mained Ryu but I used SAIII so my moves weren’t cancels into special arts they were knock down set ups into Denjin Hadoken so his counter playstyle worked good for me even though I was playing a qcf character at that time.
Joker…you can say it: you want try the new characters. Don’t we all. It seems like everyone who has a main from SFIV, who wants to try out the new 10 characters, is going to lose there main’s credability or something. It just seems that way reading the post from people, no matter who they main. I want and will try out the new characters the moment I pop the disc into the console. I want to see what they can do…what’s the problem in that?
After a few hours, then I’ll break down Guile. I worked too hard to let Guile go…and again, if he’s the supposed “low tier” character again…shit, I got to prove the nay-sayers wrong, all over again.
Fuck people…I love the underdog…the true underdog. I admit, I’m excited to play Guile…regardless of rank or tier. I know, the 3S announcement has everyone who is a fan of those characters(I myself am one…but not in a extreme way) in rejoice right now, and everything about them must golden info…for right now.
After that crap wears off, and we get to the point of things…we’ll see where things stand for the characters.
Just bear what you hear about Guile right now til release.
Boxer does his headbutt with db to ub retaining his horizontal charge, guile can do this too, and makes it more likely that you’ll see flashkick to sonic hurricane. Unless it’s qcf x2. Don’t know haven’t been keeping up.
Boxer also recovers before his opponent leaves juggle state…
Which always confused me about guile’s POS flashkick. it’s worse then boxers headbutt in EVERY way.
boxer also doesn’t have to FADC to get the ultra and as a result not losing your charge, or not having reduced time to charge meaning boxer can pretty much start the charge the moment he does the headbutt, not to mention the headbutt recovers faster and he lands on the ground sooner.
Both flash kick and headbutt puts you in a juggle state its just that flash kick itself doesn’t recover quick enough and that guile is airbourne for longer meaning by the time he lands the opponents already grounded pretty much.
You know, except for the startup of flash being 4 kick frames instead to 8 to 12 for Headbutt and the fact that non-EX Headbutt doesn’t have any true invul, just partial invul, and the fact that Boxer can’t cancel it to make it safe.
I swear, these threads.
Guh, was beat to it. Boxer is free on wake-up, at least Guile can randomly etch out a lk.fk FADC.
okay, all points that are useless. 4 frame startup is NOTHING.
And invul? balrog’s headbutt trades less then fk.
Oh and why bother burning meter when you have a stupid amount of hit confirms from rog?
Nice try, but no cigar.
not sure if troll. In case not:
4 frame startup is the cut-off line for guarding against safe jumps, that’s huge.
I would take Vanilla Headbutt over Flashkick anyday. Also, Boxer is not free on wake-up. Try playing as Vega, now that is being free on wake-up. Don’t forget about his great backdash for ground opponents, and headbutt as a great AA. Non-cancellable Headbutt balances out the fact that it links to ultra without burning meter. Are people seriously dumb enough to not understand this?
POS? Could someone throw me a bone…
No trolling.
Tell me, even if you wake up flash kick (which is a terrible idea), you think it’s not going to trade? haha please.
I casually stuff jump-ins with wake-up flash kicks on the daily, what’s the big deal? Is it super reliable? No, but it’s not so un-reliable that doing so loses you hundreds upon hundreds of health. Learning to auto-correct intensely improves your chances of landing it. Trading is actually relatively uncommon for the flash kick (at least mine). It either gets straight stuffed in which I know I did something wrong (because it CAN stuff jump-ins you just need to time it deep as shit) or it connects. Even in the rare chance that it trades, that’s so much in your favor it’s not even funny. I love trading flash kicks, it’s a free EX SB juggle after every one. So yes, I’ll gladly take 100 damage to dish out 170-260 depending on the kick and where it traded.
If people are getting flash kicks legit stuffed, you’re pressing it way too early. It’s not a shoryuken.
Give me CVS2 flash kick please.
Make it possible for the second hit of cr.RH and for flashkick to hit knocked down opponents please.
Also aerial raves.
Also Sentinel assists.
yes normal FK trades, use EX if you don’t want to trade. That aside, trading into an EX juggle is much better than being punished to hell and back because of >4 frame startup, see chun’s wakeup EX SBK
what you guys don’t seem to get is if you can actually trade with a"safe" jump in, they aren’t “safe” jump ins.
Rogs headbutt is 50 times better then the useless FK we have right now. On top of that, balrog’s should rarely be getting knocked down as it stands. in any case that he does get knocked down, i would much rather dash back, or forward and have a standing bout, then to have an unreliable move to 'trust"
