Yeah they are fun, but I want to see more features in the next game, especially in regards to the multiplayer. I am still mad that us 360 owners got shafted on DLC when ps3 ppl got a totally revamped game.

Thread has majorly branched off though since it was discussing on a broad level and not just with RPGs. Anyone here that can make a comparison on a wider scale? I don’t have much wealth or enough time to buy varied games from both sides to get a well balanced estimate from genres coming from both ends. From what I played both sides can still approve. How can Japan improve sales on this side of the world?
Well the real discussion should be what can Japan do to improve western sales, because they are concerned about losing the market.

Wait a minute, when did we actually stop buying games? If you ask me, MORE people started buying games, and they only buy Western. AGAIN it’s not about being behind, it’s about people wanting their maddens and CODs, games that most people who were buying shit before those games got popular, don’t care about.
What I’m saying is, if Square Enix sent Ninjas to Bungie for a hostile takeover, all of a sudden Japan would be good at making games again.

Not only will MK9 blow ass like pretty much every other MK game ever made, but I think the distinction between JRPGs and Western RPGs is just based on personal preference. Personally, I can’t stand JRPGs. Everything from the sub menus to the goofy animation pisses me off. But that’s just me, I’m not saying they’re inherently bad. Then again, I don’t like many RPGs aside from KOTOR and the like.
