Capcom read this

[quote="even worse than Resident Evil 4 on PC (3SO makes that shit look console perfect.)[/quote]

whats wrong with RE4 on the PC? its the most epic game ever.

Any news on a patch to fix this game up?

Anyone know if there’s a way to get your money back?

Seriously, if they could remove the game and re-release it with the majority of the stuff fixed (including the soundtrack @_@) for a 2012 re-release I wouldn’t mind it.

This game is in need of serious help, 3soe makes 3s look bad.

3s makes 3soe look bad, because this shit here sure isn’t 3s.

No news about a patch, Capcom leaves this crappy port, they just don’t give a shit now.

I think it would be better just to get Ponder to add 3S on GGPO 2 which -as I’ve mentioned before- should have an easier time processing CPS3 games. That, or use mameHUB and work with the creator on any latency issues.

Emulation is as close as we’re going to get to Arcade Perfect, that or the PS2 version.

I thought ggpo no longer carries this game, or am i wrong?

Fixed that for you.

lol supercade

karnovs revenge. look it up somewhere. it has a couple of steps to get 3s running again.

Nice find

Believe me, I have played with top Japanese and American players, and I am one of those “bitches” who complains about input lag since I been mostly playing in the arcade, and for a game as strict with input as 3S (although, not restricted to SSF4, but still) this is one of those games you need perfect input, I’m mostly talking red parrying, because I can’t even pull off red parries on this piece of shit whereas I can pull off red parries in the arcades almost consistently (but around 30% of the time, I’m not playing faithfully like I was pre-children/marriage, haha.)

I don’t know why you’re talkin about this here and now particularly, but it has been shown OE has 4 frames input delay (from stick to crt screen), just like arcade SSF2T (no one tested with 3S arcade iirc), for both PS3 and 360.
Red parry are just fine btw.

The red parry discrepancy is more likely due to this game being based on the Dreamcast version than to input delay.

So is it safe to say this port is dead on arrival? No one’s going to play it in tournaments and it doesn’t look like they’re going to fix it. I remember being hopeful before the release that we’d see a 3S revival, see it at Evo perhaps, but those seem unlikely now. There’s some mixed opinions on what issues the game has but I haven’t seen any well-known players defending the port and saying it’s good.

3S OE will die like HD Remix, Capcom love that.

well at least we got some Canada Cup Chun mirrors and a never ending sea of Akuma and Urien online players. so that’s cool I guess.

I must be the only smart one here because after I tested the demo for five seconds, I immediately deleted it from my Xbox.

And you played the game at the special tournament, and you still bought this junk. Capcom is a terrible company. Stop buying their games at full price.

So, what’s left for 3s enthusiasts that can’t play on CPS3?

Seriously, after 9 pages, someone better tell me where should I play it

FBA also know as Final Burn Alpha it’s still not arcade perfect but it’s better than this.

Thanks for the reply.

We have pc, emulators, dreamcast, playstation 2 & 3, xbox and obviously no common ground regarding the quality of ports.

As someone who wants to enjoy and get good at third strike I get discouraged reading all that because I have no access to arcades and when I finally do play on one, I don’t want it to feel like a whole other game and abandon most of everything I learned.

I played 3s on ps3 and the online wasn’t really fulfilling for me (awful and frustrating most of the time), but the offline was okay I guess. It was playable and enjoyable. Reading how arcade players make a joke of it makes me wonder how different it really is.

It must be good for at least a few things that could relate and transfer successfully to an arcade experience.
