Capcom Going Broke, only $152 mill in the bank

Sega should buy them out.

Then pair up with Nintendo to ‘re-wrap’ the Wii U as "Dreamcast 2"
shrug
Everyone wins…and Sonic could be in the next Megaman game…or Mega Man can have a sonic ability shrug

Yes they fucking can. All they gotta do is Kickstarter.

“Hey remember when Capcom made awesome games? Yeah we did that, then we turned tail and did our own thing. Want us to do all of that again? Show us the Skrilla.”

I hope whoever buys Capcom will revive Rival Schools.

Sega is the best case scenario.

Sega been on a roll when it comes to buying devs. They got Rebellion and Atlus.

Namco could be an alright option as well, maybe.

I actually like Namco buying Capcom out.

Namco has good FG Netcode and they can make Figure arts for all of Capcom’s Franchises.

Namco or Sega, they both sound good now.

I’m down with Namco. They could revive Breath of Fire.

Namco, Sega or Sony. Anybody but MS really

Yeah, Sega or Bamco buying them out would be pretty good. Come to think of it, Bamco buying them would be the only way Tekken X Street Fighter will ever get done, and Sega could just make some giant Marvel style megamix thing using all Capcom/Sega/Atlus (since they own them, right?) type thing by having the MvC guys work on it.

LOL NO.

Maybe if Arc Sys does it… :coffee:

Can’t wait for arcsys to add negative penalty to mvc too.

10 years ago I would’ve wanted Capcom to buy out Sega.

SMH.

10 years ago capcom was the same

Yeah, you’d have to go back at least 13 years to when Capcom still had some of the old magic… They’ve been scrubs for awhile now.

the point is

not even close.

they still had money then.

Po should buy Capcom and be the change in the world

If I had a few million lying around, I most certainly would.

First thing I do is issue a public apology for the company’s idiotic and trollish behavior, and to show them I’m serious, we announce that we are working on…

[details=Spoiler]DMC 5: Blood Brothers- THE stylish action game to end all stylish action games. We wanted this game to be the ultimate DMC game, so I have contracted two teams to develop it- Itsuno and the Dragon’s Dogma team vs. Kamiya and Platinum. Two-games-in-one: A Dante side, developed by Kamiya, and a Vergil side, developed by Itsuno… Brought together by a co-developed Nero side to bring the two schools of gameplay together. Crazy!

Then, I would do is call up Inafune and get him, Inti Creates, and Wayforward to joint develop…

Mega Man Gigamix- an all new 2D side-scrolling Mega Man+Mega Man X title in HD… A rift in the space-time continuum has allowed Sigma and Dr. Wily to combine forces! Can Mega Man, X, and Zero put a stop to the new robot army comprised of their deadliest foes? New stages, classic and all-new Robot Masters and Mavericks, plus unlockable characters*(Did someone say playable Bass and Vile?)* and collectables. Soundtrack composed by Bunbun.

After those two blockbusters, I show the fans I’m not playing around by having an Open Talent Search for new developers to bolster our weakened ranks and bring some fresh ideas in. The beginning of this will be a contest to find a few young developers to work on a new Breath of Fire title.

With a new solid core of developers, and a few great titles out, I get our guys working on an all-new Resident Evil title with a strong focus on the tension of limited ammo and narrow corridors in, Resident Evil: Return to the Mansion. To show our renewed focus on Survival Horror, the genre we helped to create, a new Dino Crisis title will also be on the books.

I’d also greenlight a Final Fight HD Remix with online co-op. With a renewed focus on improved netcode, we begin talks with SNK for Capcom VS. SNK 3: The Forever Fight. Before we begin such a massive undertaking, we make a show of good faith by re-releasing CvS 2: Online Edition.

Our fighting games are very important, and it is equally important that we get them to play as tightly and smooth as possible, so I bring in some former team members from the original Super Turbo team, the Alpha team, Rival Schools, Darkstalkers and the Versus team, along with other successful fighting game developers from other companies to host a Fighter Symposium, were we exchange ideas and concepts for future titles… The ultimate goal for this would be a new title in the Street Fighter franchise, but we obviously need to start a bit smaller, so…

The first title to come from this will be Darkstalkers: Eternal Night, the first fully sprite-based 2D fighter we’ve done since Third Strike. [/details]

There are many more great ideas I’d like to see, but alas, I am not yet a millionaire and cannot implement these changes… RIP, Capcom circa 1987-2007…

^ you sir, are a genius.
