Capcom Going Broke, only $152 mill in the bank

It’s an anniversary sale. These things ain’t uncommon.

I still dont understand why they have a new strider game coming out, yet they canned 3 megaman games

IIRC when asked about Megaman being on the poster in the UMVC3 stage, they admitted it was a troll by them. I really doubt the Zero DLC costume and bad box art Megaman are mere coincidences.

In any case, you can’t deny Capcom doesn’t treat their fans like shit; DmC’s entire existence and the horrible PR that followed proves my point.

Yet people still want other games like Demons Crest would make sense, since Firebrand is in Umvc3

Let’s not forget that Capcom blamed the fans directly for Darkstalkers Resurrection not doing well enough, even though it’s a decade plus old game with nothing new aside from tutorials, that received little promotion outside of the FGC, and still managed to get on the top 10 sales the month of its release on PSN.

But hey, at least we have a new Darkstalkers game finally, and it’s what we always wanted.

Yay…

who gives a fuck about darkstalker…

cvs2 might have made more bank if anything.

better yet where is alpha2? it might have made more than ds.

It doesn’t really matter if either game would have made “more than Darkstalkers” since it would likely not have made the ridiculous and unreasonable sales numbers Capcom seems to expect these days.

Why so hostile? Why not both?

I never understood this mentality, that you have to shit on another game for yours to succeed. I like CvS2 and A2 as well. Not as much as VSav, but still, I like them.

Agreed, people don’t need to be hostile to each other about these things. Though thinking on CvS2 an the Alpha games always gets me nostalgic. And reminds me of that awesome divekick Sakura used to/should still have.

Sorry but $25 is still too expensive for DmC.

Even $0 is too expensive.

I actually did buy a good bit of games on that Capcom Steam Sale.

But I didn’t spend more than $5 on each game. I mostly bought those indie/doujin games that Capcom published, along with BC:Rearmed and Dark Void Zero. Only “Triple-A” game I bought was RE5, and that’s just so I have some more co-op games to play with friends.

If they brought DmC to $5, I might have given it a shot, but yeah… I spent less than $25 for all the games I just got, and it was about 8 of 'em.

So are humble bundles. Don’t tell that to THQ, though.

There’s a steam sale coming around the corner. There’s probably going to be a bigger sale later on on their games while this sale is to hook people in who buy on impulse and sneak in 50% offs instead of 75% off. Then for skeptical people like me, they’ll throw out the 75-80% offs on the next steam sale for a better chance of hooking those people in.

I really do wonder what will happen if Capcom goes out of business and were all left without future SF games?

Not like SF is the only Fighting game out there.
Not even one of the best fighter out right now.

Street Fighter can die with its legacy somewhat intact… No, wait. SFxT happened…

Guess it’s time to get Bionic Commando Rearmed. Maybe even Bionic Commando so I can scream BIONICARM!!! as I play it. I’ll let you live for now Capcom. But if I don’t get MML1&2 and or Dead Rising on Steam in the near future I’ll throw a hissyfit.

Mega Man Legends could be done easy. It was on pc/windows as well. Still have my copy.
