Capcom Going Broke, only $152 mill in the bank

If you continue to cyber-bully me, I will report U to the mods. And don’t even think about flag bombing my posts.

P.S.
that’s big talk coming from somebody who was like 2 or 3 when the PS1 port came out, Mr. Born-in-1993.

Yup I remember that, the whole “But it’s only the costumes on the disk and not gameplay stuff so it doesn’t matter” and people talking out their ass about “slippery slope fallacies” not realising that it can (and did still happen).

Still at least it’s good to see people stop being bitchs and stop handing over their money when shit passed their threshold, but that shit would never have gotten so far if people had taken a stand earlier instead of sticking their fingers in their ears and talking about a huge as company like it’s their family/deity of choice/best mate.

Very good article, I’d advice everyone to read it and write letters to Capcom.
Someone please hire me as a producer, I got some amazing ideas for a Vampire Savior and a Resident Evil game.

Capcom vs Konami: Fate of Two Chapters (9 & 11)

F2P :coffee:

Imagine a Castlevania vs. Vampire Savior game that is free to play and only sells useless shit like costumes/colors/stages/loading screens/ui’s/costumes/special move effects, uses GGPO for its netcode, has an well-crafted storyline written by real authors, actually animated intros and endings for characters, fun tutorials and challenges that feel more like actually playing than learning like MK9/Injustice/Skullgirls, a boss training room with displayable framedata and hit and hurtboxes, chat rooms and guild systems and a spectator mode for lan and online tournaments.

Yeah, I get a hard dick just by thinking about that.

Konami seems like a a good choice, since they both make similar games, though Konami makes other stuff like DDR games, and owns yugioh. Just image a RPG like BOF x suikoden

Suikoden VI with Nina and Ryu from BOF 3 or 4 as hidden stars? Yes please.

Woah woah woah, time out.

Just because I liked DmC, doesn’t mean I’m a Capcom apologist. I remember having an alt account banned because of a fight I had with some jackass in the SFxT DLC thread because I was burying their bullshit too hard.

There isn’t anything wrong with cosmetic items being DLC, as they are not a core gameplay mechanic (or a gameplay mechanic at all, for that matter). Characters, however…

Oh and remember when Capcom was planning on making that handheld RE game which could only be played through once and they only stopped the idea because of the backlash? Yeah these 3rd party developer was the original in the “xbone generation” aka “Let’s see how far we can go with this shit.”

FUCK CAPCOM

Hey! Get your own catchphrase, buddy!

CAPCOM RESENT™

SF4 still feels like the point where they stopped caring about making good games.

SF4 was just kinda a let down, all things Capcom considered, like it is their most famous IP and yet it was rather meh.

Oh and found this, Capcom blames western devs for things going tits up. Because DmC was such a great idea in the first place… assholes.

Infanue will hopefully be using the term ‘genius’ a bit lightly, be sad to watch him have to start another company up. Craziest shit is, no where to be seen is any Capcom statements saying even a little “erm yea maybe people just dont like getting ripped off anymore…”

Capcom got on my shit list after the original vanilla SF4 costume DLC. 1 costume with 10 colors (and two of those horseshit shader colors) cost like 2 dollars. Meanwhile, Tag2 gave me dozens of costumes with infinite colors all on the disc for free. It made Capcom’s money grub-iness even more transparent.

The last straw was when they decided Monster Hunter needs to stay exclusively on Nintendo systems after PSP owners made the franchise successful in the first place.

Fuck Capcom.

Inafune did not cancel Legends 3. Inafune did not cancel Universe. Inafune did not cancel Gaist Crusher. In fact, Gaist Crusher is almost proof that Inafune wanted to finish Legends 3 alone besides Inafune flat out making an announcement that he wanted to finish Legends 3 and Capcom said no.

Yeah, and Tag 2’s a 3D game. But good lord is the customization on that amazing and awesome.

Gaist Crusher isn’t cancelled.

With Tag2 having so many more options and being such a more complete robust experience, there was simply no justifying paying for ONE costume and 10 colors. Fuck thaat /Kendrick

Can’t lie, about 15% of my collection is Capcom games. I never woke up one day and said fuck Capcom. It was a slow process that started with the MML3 cancelation. Its sad to see 1 of my favorite companies turn into the laughingstock of the industry. So many classic IPs, so many memorable characters, all shit now.
