If we can go as far as saying Amaterasu could kill her with the sun, couldn’t we also say Morrigan could just leave to her world?
That’s exactly what his spider sense and reflexes allow him to do. He’s got the agility to keep up with what his senses tell him about, because his senses always tell him about it before it happens. The guy could literally be in the middle of a fight, and someone from an over looking window shoot at him, and he’d be able to dodge it. A lot of people tend to underestimate him in that respect. And while 10 tons is nothing compared to someone like Hulk, it is still 10 tons. That’s knocking a lot of people out, healing factor or not. Someone with a healing factor may wake up ten minutes as opposed to a day later, but he still got hit with a 10 ton punch.
LOL, Topic Creator put Pheonix Wright above Haggar, I’m pretty sure Haggar would break him in half.
Hulk is absorbing gamma bomb missle.and than grows larger than a 100 feet Dragon…which he stomps on. WTF I am reading?
Hulk is so overpowered that his villains think he needs a nerf. LoL.
Well Apocalypse and Juggernaut are X-men villains rather then Wolvie villains. If you want Wolvie Villains you’re talking about Sabertooth, Omega Red, Lady Deathstrike, Silver Samurai.
If we really wanna get silly, we could bring up the fight where Spidey beat up Firelord and fought Silver Surfer to a draw.
Right. But if we’re talking about Wolverine, Spider-man would shatter all the bones in his hand if he punched him full force thanks to Wolvie’s adamantium skeleton. That’s why Wolvie vs Spider-man is pretty much a toss up. Also Spidey can lift 10 tons. Being able to lift 10 tons doesn’t necesarily mean there is 10 tons behind your punch. There’s a difference between strength vs power (I.E. Weight lifter vs Boxer). Wolverine has taken punches from the likes of the Juggernaut who can punch a lot harder then Spidey.
The match is a toss up IMO. Spider-man is definitely a lot smarter and more cunning, and his spidey-sense plays a huge role in the matchup. I think he’s gotta play a lot of hit and run with Wolvie. He really doesn’t want to stay up close. Wolvie has that martial arts expertise and can really screw over spider-man in an up close battle.
can we agree that they’re both bit players in the powerlevel game?
If you just take a brief look at their respective powers on something like the marvel wiki, you can find that wolverine and spiderman both have superhuman sense, reflex and agility, along with other more unique powers. I think it’s safe to say that both of them would have a hard time hitting one another physically (spider sense vs much better martial arts skills), and neither can ambush the other due to their heightened senses. And wolverine has a marked advantage in durability with his skeleton and healing factor.
Actually, this is a tier list discussion, not a 1v1 discussion, I think it’s safe to say that Wolverine fares better against the rest of the marvel cast here than spiderman (except against magneto…REALLY!?), at the very least, he can take a hit from most of them and not die.
But yea, they’re both bit players lol
(Godammit I hate wolverine so much, can’t believe I spent so much time defending him)
From what I understand, the power grids for the Capcom characters were done by someone at Marvel. Doesn’t make them less stupid, just wanted to point out this one isn’t necessarily on Capcom.
You do know the “real” Pyron sent a piece of himself the one you consider A class, right? Not arguing or debating just sayin’. The real Pyron is a huge ass motherfucker, and he only lost because he felt like he needed a challenge. And he wanted to fight by earth rules of battle. Pyron actually could’ve destroyed Earth if he wanted to.
The list would be in order from left to right: (I dont know where to place Strange, Sentinel, Viewtiful Joe or Morrigan.)
Gods: Shuma Gorath-Galactus, Dormammmu, Thor, Doc Strange (hes not a god but hes not a threat either.), Ammy
Universal Threats: Dark Phoenix, Super Skrull, Dr. Doom
The Inbetweeners: Hulk=Dante=Vergil, Morrigan, Ghost Rider
World’s Strongest: Storm, Magneto, Akuma, Wesker, Trish (maybe)
Badasses: Spider-Man, Wolverine, Captain America,She-Hulk, Iron-Man, Deadpool, Taskmaster, X-23, Nemesis
Brawlers: Ryu, Zero, Sentinel, Haggar, Hsien-Ko, Viewtiful Joe, Spencer, Chris, Felicia, Modok, Jill, C.Viper
Bottom Feeders: Arthur, Tron Bonne, Phoenix Wright
Dont know about Iron Fist, Rocket Raccoon, or Nova. But as far as Pyron goes he might be the most powerful Capcom Character, Imo. Until shown otherwise.
Remember these 2 endings?
Take all of her moves from MvC3. Then remove all start-up frames and recovery frames. Then give her the ability to use those moves under hitstun. THEN change movement speed under Veil of Mist from -25% to -90%. She’s got that plus Sun out of nowhere, moon out of nowhere, rain out of nowhere, tornado/wind out of nowhere, and trees out of nowhere.
You thought f+HHHHH was annoying, Try getting knocked out of your combo by a random bolt of lightning.
Depends on how fast she can get out of there. “Where the Sun will Shine” has 20 frames of start up.
Iron Fist is probably on a level with Spidey and Wolvie, especially the “Immortal Iron Fist” version with enhanced chi powers.
Yer right that Strange is God Tier tho’, he’s the only character I can think of that’s so strong Marvel literally doesn’t know what to do with him. (if you’re writing a comic never ever make a guy that can do anything)
Respect to Shuma, Galactus, and Dormammu. Pretty sure Sun God beats Thunder God though. He’s got lightning and a hammer while Ammy has that and everything else.
I thought the idea that he wasn’t full power came from the Udon comics. But yes, he could’ve destroyed Earth.
@ Yazumatto: Oh didnt know Ammy was that retarded. I assumed Thor’s strength alone would be enough.
@ Zarez: I didnt read the comics so your probably right. But from the story I read Pyron fought by Earth Rules. So if it was balls to the wall Pyron wouldn’t have lost.
Dr. Strange IMO…is kinda similiar to Hal Jordan of Green Lantern in that: He has the power and abilities of a god…but can die a normal human being. Still needs food, water, life span, etc. So stuff like that.
But the Marvel stuff is entirely dependent on who’s writing the damn thing. Squirrel Girl kicking the shit out of…well…just about anyone, for example, is flimsy.
Marvel characters should be grouped by: God like (Galaxy or Universal changing powers)
Near-powerful on a global scale (Powers which could threaten a whole world)
Continental threats (Beings that could destroy parts of a planet)
City protectors/violators (Guys that can influence the outcome of a whole city)
And normal joe’s (Big cluster fuck here. Can influence day-to-day crimes within a city)
It’s too naive and insultful to just say Dorm>Shum or Shuma>Dorm in the god catagories. But they BOTH do deserve the God slot. And of course I’m cutting out little shit like reality and space bending stuff. I know that stuff is powerful, but if it doesn’t effect on a universal level of all creatures (because those 2 elements really only effect the user, not so much everyone else)…then I consider that Near-powerful level.
PS: How come people have mention’d Thor and all his powers…but no mention of him AND the Odin force? I know he’s only used it for defensive purposes (bringing back Asgard and his fellow Asgadians, and defending against Bor, Odin’s father)…but just imagine if he used it for battle. Whew…
/rant over.
Odinforce isn’t in the game
We all know Goku would shit on all these gods we are talking about, he would make Galactus give his planet lunch.
Let’s not even begin on Vegeta.
Oh, okay. No idea what Marvel was thinking, then.
In Pyron’s Night Warriors ending, he easily incinerates the Earth, Galactus-style. About the same size, too.
Morrigan would just say, “Ooh, that’s hot!”
And everyone would laugh. Even Akuma.
On another note, I remember seeing on Unity (I was there for the character poll! Don’t hurt me!) that Hulk’s ending was inaccurate and that Nemesis could beat Hulk. I snickered behind the safety of my monitor.
They actually did a really god job with him over the years. For a long time he was a pacifist observer primarily, offering advice and wisdom but very rarely assistance outside of a few select occasions which completely played into his personality. Marvel just kept him in the pocket as a reset button, or Deus Ex Machina, so they could do crazy shit if they wanted to. Recently he lost of lot of his power when he gave up a lot of his artifacts and the title of Sorcerer Supreme to Voodoo.
Yes, they tried out several different themes in his early development, among them a cowboy with a whip and a kung fu fighter with giant spiked nunchucks.
