That’s really the main thing I have issue with. I really don’t think there’s anyone out there in the Marvel cast that Wolverine can take on that Spider-Man can’t and have a similar or better outcome. Spidey may not be able to take a hit like Wolverine can, but that’s simply not how Spidey fights so taking a hit is pretty irrelevant for him. Sure, there are certain matchups that cater more towards one than the other, but that’s with everything. As a whole, Spider-Man just has way more options in dealing with way more matchups, and the brain to properly utilize those options effectively.
There’ve been numerous occasions where Spidey had to punch something that woulda broken his hand, but got around it by simply webbing up his hand like a boxing glove. The punch is still effective, still has the power behind it, and his hand is still in tact.
I was content with just reading the topic. Then you guys started putting x capcom character above Amaterasu.

Only one thing I can think of is Viewtiful Joe’s magic plot armor. If he’s the hero, he literally can’t lose. I can’t stress this enough… he CAN’T lose. If you beat him, it just means you messed up a take and it isn’t canon UNTIL he wins.

If any of you played X5, you would notice that in Axl the Red’s stage, that one girl says in the beggining of the stage that the Sigma virus is evolving and is taking controling/infecting organic’s as well.
if you touched enough Sigma Virus spawn, Zero would go into God mode. Spikes where nothing to him.
Also during the game, had Zero merged with the Sigma virus (bad ending he did), which he did in a way, because it spawned the Zero virus. A much more virulent and powerful derivative of the Sigma virus was created. It also important to note that the Zero virus changed and influenced reality at the crash site where the virus was concentrated.
Now canonically he could merge with the Zero virus and become even more powerful than he would with the Sigma virus, and have the potential ability to influence organics with his new powers. With the ability to shape or influence space time.
It would be interesting to note, that Zero could be the reverse engineering of that one robot Duo fucked up in the oppening sequence of Megaman 8
way to mix smarts with intelligence.
Morrigan would be 1 or 2 on capcom side…she is quite powerful
Science dictates that if you’re gonna punch an unbreakable metal with your breakable hand at full power… your hand is gonna break.
If Spidey webs up his hand like a boxing glove, he loses his ability to shoot out webs. That means he can’t swing around. He can’t blind his opponent. It’s a actually a disadvantage if you ask me.
Spidey has to fight Wolvie with hit and run. Using webs to blind /hold/throw him around. Throw pot shots at Wolverine’s body in areas that aren’t covered protected by his skeleton (IE stomach, throat, groin). The match is a toss up, cause Wolvie really only needs one hit. If Spidey tries to take on Wolvie head on, Wolvie will send him to the hospital as you can see below:

Honestly, I’d put Dante at the top of the Capcom list. Amaterasu is a god, but so was Mundus. I can see Amy as a boss in a DMC game. Actually, I can imagine a lot of this Capcom cast being a boss in a DMC game. Dante simply makes minced meat out of most of the Capcom cast. Virgil is his twin, and their power level is probably equal, though Dante does seem to come out on top in the end (killing him, what, three times?).
Wesker is also pretty damn strong, but again he’s nothing compared to Dante. Dante would have jumped out of his hot spot and surfed those two rockets back at the helicopter.
Pheonix Wright should be at the rock bottom for sure.
While I like Chun, she almost dies when fighting Vega (anime) and getting cut up. Pretty sure she would have died if she fought Zero instead.

First off Goku’s stronger than Vegeta…
2nd, Goku would lose to Galactus. Galactus can absorb and gets stronger from all energy based attacks. Which pretty much makes a Kamehameha or a Spirit Bomb not only pointless, but stupid. Goku doesnt know that though and he’d try it anyway, making Galactus even stronger (especially if it was a Spirit Bomb…shudder)
Even if Goku didnt use energy, his speed and strength alone are’nt enough for this fight.

Akuma is weaker than Dante, maybe, but he’d beat Dante…Shun Goku Satsu. We all know what this move does and we all know how Dante is troubled by his past. Those memories and negative emotions would strike at him tenfold. He’d be dead for sure.
Maverick Hunter X isn’t necessarily canon. It’s story creates plot holes in later games.
Also, Zero was not infected by the virus initially. In X5 when Zero is infected, he calm, collected, and focused on his mission to kill X. The virus was created to calm his violent nature and the error in his programming that caused him to be that way. The virus was stored in his capsule, but separated from his body. When he was awakened, the virus leaked from his body and infected both him and Sigma. I wouldn’t say it’s a weakness because it only happened once when Zero was at the peak of his insanity and most likely an incomplete robot. Zero was initially sealed because an error in his programming turned him into the raging lunatic seen in the X4 flashback. The virus, however, cures this and makes him calm. X1 Zero is technically wasn’t complete in X1. Wily’s original plans included the X2 design, as seen in Bass’s Power Fighters ending, so Zero wasn’t even complete in X1.
Zero and MMZero are exactly the same, except Zero’s DNA soul was transferred to a copy body. Their different appearance is due to a change in art style, nothing more. He even managed to destroy his original body when it became Omega.
Dante is not invincible and neither is Vergil. They can be defeated or killed. Mundus killed Vergil after DMC3. DMC1 says that without Sparda’s power, Dante doesn’t stand a chance against Mundus. If he can be pierced by bullets and swords, his durability is much less than Zero’s. The things Dante has survived pale in comparison to Zero’s durability feats.
I don’t think the Shun Goku Satsu would work on Zero. Zero doesn’t have a soul the way an organic person does. Besides, everyone who was hit by the attack has managed to survive it. It’s never actually killed anyone. As impressive as Akuma’s feats are, that kind of strength simply won’t damage Zero.
Wesker doesn’t canonically teleport. He’s just moving very fast. If two humans with modern weaponry could take down Uroburous Wesker, Zero could do it easily.
While that makes a valid point, RE5’s story doesn’t even make sense with itself, so yeah… (Wesker can fall in a Volcano and be okay, but a rocket launcher kills him, even though he withstood like 40 of those earlier in the fight?)
current Spider-man doesn’t have spider sense, the person currently writting him took it away.
no way is dante or vergil lower than wesker. ive never seen wesker have a massive sword plunged through his chest and just shrug it off. Dante has taken down way worse abominations than wesker has ever become.
