Canonical Tier List

Well, its all relative. They’re way weaker on Earth, but only to the degree that people can actualy fight them. Only person that can remotely fight them in their home dimension is strange (I don’t think phoenix can exist in otehr realities)

That’s from the ending of Capcom Fighting Evolution. Not from the actual Udon comic book.

Udon isnt canon, bro. CFE isnt either, but its at least made by Capcom and shows extents of abilities. So you can take the stuff such as Dante being a rival of Jedah in power, Pyron being able to multiply, and Shin Akuma being able to survive space and blow up a meteor as canon.

Yeah Udon isn’t Canon. But it is supported by Capcom. Malibu Comics also had a Street Fighter series but it was pulled after 3 issues cause Capcom did not like what Malibu was doing with their characters.

But I guess the point I was trying to make was that the comparing video game chars with comic book chars is like apples to oranges. You gotta compare the comic book versions with each other or the video game versions with each other which is why I brought the UDON comic book up.

The comic book versions of the Ryu/Chun, can’t take on comic book Captain America/Hawkeye.

i knew marvel people would bring something up like this. cap beat character X who beat character Y who beat character Z who was defeated by squirrel girl. w/o any plot shield cap would get smoked.

cap-
lift 1200 lbs.
run at a decent speed

akuma-
sinks island
teleport
bullet proof

Actually the sf4 series of anime (this, the juri one, and the one for sf4 with seth) is canon, since it’s tied in with character intros and endings. An example would be Cammy’s intro in ssf4, it takes place after the end of the ssf4 Juri anime (with Juni hospitalized etc).

Oh yea, it also shows chun li doing a kikosho.

just started reading nova comics and, MY GOODNESS, he is gdlk. The guy that had him up in S-tier is spot on.

What low level, super strength can’t do these feats? Haven’t I already proved this point with Rhino?

75 to 85 tons is not “low level, super strength.” Rhino is a lot stronger than you’re giving him credit for. Spider-Man has low level super strength (10 tons), Luke Cage has low level super strength (25 tons). Do you see them sinking islands?

Rhino is a low level super villain story-wise. As powerful as he supposed to be, he is easy pickings for most low level super heroes.

But if you want to go lower than him by way of strength and canon, Luke Cage is a good example of lower card super heroes in the Marvel Universe and how powerful they have become. Which leads me to…

Luke Cage…you seriously haven’t read how ridiculous he has gotten over the years…He can destroy a small island just by being knocked through it. He’s a bit too high on the totem pole for old Gouki. 25 tons is pretty steep in terms of power. And this dude survives explosions like nobody’s business.

And I agree about the Dorm thing…Dormammu wouldn’t even look twice at Akuma let alone fight the guy. No comparison of the two needs to take place.

This is what Im talking about, there are a few people on this list that are ranking low and Im pretty sure it is because people just haven’t read their stories. As far as people questioning Shuma’s power, he is literally so powerful that the entire universe was almost taken over by the Cancerverse by someone just trying to appease him. As far as know, Shuma isnt even directly mentioned as the master of the Cancerverse but during the final ritual, Magus says his name in the middle of his incantation and there is no shortage of tentacles. It took the universe’s strongest heroes and Thanos, Nova and Starlord all gave up their lives(kind of) just to stop Shuma’s lacky.

Writing this made me realize, if everything in the cancerverse was destroyed, what happened to Shuma? Did he just sneak off to elsewhere?

Akuma is high-mid IMO. He chills in volcanoes. He’s only ever lost ONCE. He can send your soul to hell. He’s good, I’d say WAY above Cap. From what we know about Dark Ryu, he should shrugg off bullets like nothing. He can take out most of the people in marvel, until we start getting to the Omega level mutants. I’d say he takes out anyone below Iron man.
Ryu is interesting. MVC3 Ryu is different to UMVC3 Ryu. UMVC3 Ryu has gone above anything in the SF universe. He’s mastered the Denjin arts. UMVC Ryu would be just above Akuma, while MVC Ryu would be much lower IMO

Im not big on trying to compare capcom to marvel heroes but Ryu and Akuma are martial artists with chi related attacks, to me that sounds on the level with a guy like Iron fist. Also, I dont believe that Ryu or Akuma would win in a fight against Taskmaster, they are martial artists so Tasky would be able counter and reproduce any of their physical attacks so barring a lucky shinku hadoken, Task is gonna win. Ultimately it is unfair to compare the 2 universes because Marvel stories have been going on for much longer and the stories have gone to crazy extremes to keep readers interested, SF story comes secondary to gameplay.

It’s not that he’s “supposed” to be powerful. He actually is, and most low level super heroes don’t have “easy pickings” against him. He’s a legitimate threat for everyone he goes against. Give him his credit, he’s proven himself repeatedly over the years since his inception. The only thing holding him back is his intentions. And if Luke Cage were to go crashing through an island he’d be knocked out cold, because if someone were strong enough to knock him through said island, that someone would be way beyond his pay grade. Like I said before, I’m not all too familiar with the Street Fighter universe, but I do know Marvel, and quite frankly you’re really over exaggerating the low end street level characters.

Nova isn’t all that strong really, I mean yeah he has good energy attacks, but he doesn’t have Sommers Brothers stuff, and his other powers are pretty much standard stuff.

Actually let me rephrase that; He’s definitely weaker than Magneto and Storm, let alone the really powerful characters. Substantially above street level of course.

Nope, sorry, gonna have to cut you off right there. I understand where you comin’ from though. Nova when he was on the New Warriors, an’ runnin’ around as just another one of Marvel’s teen super heroes, yeah, he wasn’t that great at all. Below most of the heavy hitters, barely on par with the regular heroes, yeah, I feel you on that, but ever since the events of Annihilation and beyond, dude got an insane power boost. When he was runnin’ around as the only bearer of the Nova Force, he was a cosmic heavyweight. When the Nova Corps came back and some of his power got diverted to the other members, he was still a cosmic heavy weight, because his rank in the corps was so high. Goin’ up against Ultron, Annihilus, Ronan, Gladiator’s cousin, Silver Surfer (well, he didn’t do too well against Surfer, but still), moving at the speed of light, fighting against gods, manipulating stars, and right up till the end where he and Star Lord took on an insanely enraged Thanos (and he presumably died, but we’ll see how long that lasts). So yeah, Nova as a character isn’t on the same level as most of the “god tier” Marvel characters like Thanos, Thor, Silver Surfer, etc, but that doesn’t mean he’s far from it. He’s definitely above Magneto and Storm. He’s so far above their level it’s not even funny.

This thread is LOLFail

*WorstPlayer has given WorstPlayer an infraction for this post.

Check out the powers and abilities section. He definitely trumps Magneto and Storm in every way possible.

by the sound of it, it seems that Reed Richards and Squirel Girl are beyond god tier.

simply because they beat one of the essential Cosmic Forces, Richards specificly because he does it consitently.

Haggar was the world champion in Capcom’s version of Pro Wrestling (if you ever played Slam Masters you would know it’s pretty brutal). The only reason he retired was his wife was murdered by Mad Gear thugs during a bank raid, and that’s when he decided to take Metro City into his own hands.
