Why not just rank them as they appear in MvC3? Since, you know, this is a board about MvC3.
To all the “it’s useless to rank Marvel because of plot armor” notions, the proper way to get around that is to take each character as a whole, and look at what they’ve done over the years consistently. Consistency is the key. Wolverine consistently heals from getting hit, and he consistently takes a short while for that to happen, but when something happens outside of that consistent standard, like say, regenerating from his whole body being incinerated and there’s no explanation given, you simply ignore that and say, “that writer was clearly smokin’ some strong ish to think of that.” Every character has his insanely high end showings and every character has their insanely low end showings, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that’s what’s normal for the character. All the writers have a general idea of what a character’s normally supposed to do, and only on occasion will you find a writer completely deviate from that norm. Those who do deviate from that norm are generally considered bad, or sloppy writers. Once you ignore those sloppy writers, it’s actually fairly easy to rank Marvel characters together. All it takes is a couple of fans who’ve actually been following the characters for a time.
I kno the powerups, but in all honesty i mean if you wanted every charecter to fight at there best and maximum potential you would HAVE to have them at 100% no holds barred.
Just wanted to point out that while Magneto has power over electromagnetism, he isn’t necessarily some cosmic god with it. Every time he tries to use the upper limits of his abilities, he’s severely weakened. Like that time he pulled Kitty Pride back from space. He was in meditation for what was like days, and after doing the deed, he was knocked into a coma. That’s him pushing himself to his very limit. If he were to try and do that regularly, he’d pretty much kill himself before doing any substantial damage to someone as big and powerful as the Hulk. There’s no doubt that Magneto’s up there in power, and he can definitely do some pretty crazy things against your average run of the mill human, super human, or mutant, but against someone like Hulk, Thor, Doom or even current Iron Man, he’s pretty much out of his weight class.

See the whole “Dimension” thing throws me off, Shuma is supreme in his own “dimension” but still labeled as 616, which leads me to think that all of these “dimensions” unless they’re strictly different “universes” or “continuities” such as Ultmate or Age of Apocolypse, reside with in the main “616 universe” where Galactus (asside from how they throw him around lately) is supreme,
Galactus has been known to go into other “dimensions” and fight those beings on an equal level without the home ‘dimension’ advantage so to speak (Agamotto vs Galactus).
Shuma-Gorath is more powerful than Galactus, both at their strongest, it’s not really debatable.
You still couldn’t do that. In his dimension, Shuma is god. In his dimension, Dormammu is god. Hell, in his dimension, Viewtiful Joe is god.
You’d have to make some Chaos Dark Nippon Demon Movieland 616 Courthouse world where everyone can fight on equal footing. Sentinel would still be cannon fodder tho.
Unless you got a source for that, it is debatable.
Ok then we have a platform that makes everyone jump up to there maximum potential and fight at there best…The purpose was that everyone is at THERE ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM regardless of where there at…where is Genkai (YU YU HAKUSHO reference) when you need her with that damn spirit wave orb so everyone could just unite with it and go maximum power no matter what…better yet Jesus for the win
Agamotto is more powerful than Galactus fully-fed in his dimension. Galactus can put up a fight but he couldn’t win.
All three of the Vishanti (Agamotto, Oshtur and Hoggoth) can’t defeat Shuma-Gorath with their might combined, and that not even in Shuma-Gorath’s home dimension.
I don’t know about all these characters from these games comics, but I’ll put up my own list just because it’s fun to. My knowledge of most of them is from what I read on the net.

Dimensions and universes have been synonymous since the dawn of science fiction. Yeah, it’s technically incorrect to substitute one for the other, but it’s generally understood given the context of the author of what meaning is meant for what.
