Ok, is this obviously trolling, or pure ignorance? Either way all of those statements were wrong on so many levels, that I seriously doubt you ever taken Tekken seriously.
When has jumping ever been a core part of any 3D fighting game? Neither VF, SC, or DOA make jumping a core mechanic to movement.
What move in Tekken history is able to kill you in one shot? Are you talking about those incredibly useless unblockable attacks? You mean the ones that have literally take ages to start up time, can be interrupted, and don’t track making them easily side stepped? No of course you can’t be referring to those useless ass things.
Son, may I ask you to open up the command list next time you bother playing the game?
That may be a personal thing, but Tekken is considered the most flashy of all the mainstream 3D fighters(with DOA probably being the only game coming close in the flashiness category).
Ok I probably got baited by this post, cause it could just be a troll attempt.
When you hit a character in tekken, you inflict a loss of blood resulting in drops of blood getting to the vacuum that surrounds fighters, and there they turn into space dust, so you see a bloody dust explosion
Another one. My god. This thread is like a KFC chicken farm, scrub flavored.
I mean… 7-10 safe pokes. Like throwing out a “poke”, any poke, in Tekken is a safe bet. Jabs < high crush moves, sidestep, lows. Lows < low parry, jumping moves, hopping mids, low throws. Mids < faster lows and highs, sidesteps, counters. Throws < crouch, mids, lows, jumps, sidesteps.
And again regarding the 50% lifers.
shakes head
If you’ve only played the game once, don’t post. Until you’ve played the game for at least 6 months at a high enough level, don’t talk like what you’re saying is fact.
I can understand someone not liking the “pace” of the game. That’s a totally personal thing. But justifying your dislike of a game’s pace by backing it up with false statements? That’s just ignorance.
Me, I personally hate Tekken lol, but we have ps3 kiosks set up at my job and there is a downloaded copy of T5DR on it and even though I hate it, I can’t stop playing it on lunch breaks. Once you get a juggle off it sucks you in…lol…still hate it though.
Look in the mirror. Your last post just confirmed it.
You’re a total, utter, and complete scrub, and you don’t even know it. But the saddest part is that you actually think you’re good.
@ddos:
Sorry mate, but you totally don’t get the game yet. You’re not supposed to “jump over” like street fighter. Some fighters can do it (their moves have built in jumps), but you’re not supposed to be able to use, say, Nina, then leap over Marduk. That’s not how the game is played. Don’t play it like Street Fighter. They aren’t the same.
The unblockables are basically taunts that kill. It’s way of saying “I bet you suck so bad you’ll get hit by something that will take a fortnight to finish”. If you do get hit, you should quit. Forever. It’s a sign.
Joystick sequences? Are you serious or are you just trolling? Because if you’re serious, then here:
…but if you’re trolling like devildigimon is… well. Bring it on.
Well this thread has served a purpose pointing out how fucking clueless people are about this series. Wow. I didn’t think it reached that far beyond gaming media scrubs but I was proven wrong.
The “splash” effect when you hit someone was originally added so deaf people can confirm their hit connected…
Also, digi, the hop-over you’re talking about does exist but it’s nowhere near as common place as you think. It’s mainly used these days as a wall tech trap, as open field the opponent can roll clean out of the way.
Usually, after the hop over, a generic BT duck jab is used, which gives enough frame advantage to where a majority of mid launchers will hit the opponent before they can turn around.
Example from DR…
Law lands CH 1,2,3 at wall, which causes a wall splat. Follows up with 1,1,1,2,3(I think you can fit another 1, but I don’t play law), and the opponent techs as they hit the ground, law jumps over and uses BT 2,2, which would be guaranteed if the opponent doesn’t hold d after the hop over.
There’s more elaborate set ups(ling is one of the scariest on these), but this was the fastest to type out.
Ok, I’m going to let you in on a little secret. See, it’s BAD to do crossovers in the tekken. If you miss, that gives them your back. Ok you following? I know I’m using big words right now, but I’ll try. If you give them your back you will get hurt. Simple? And no, you will never eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever see a feng wei cross someone up, hell, the only people I know who can and more than likely will would be Ling, Jin, Lee, because they have similar uf+4.
And no, not in high level play. Yuu, Taizo, Mainstreet Ryu, Knee, Leedy,Sho, Quadans, and just about every other high level player would LAUGH at you if you did that. Cross over in Tekken ain’t viable bro. You need to go home and be a family man.
Edit: and Dilly’s post just proved the fact that you are wroooooooooooooooooong.
Edit 2: Can a mod please just close this? This thread is a breeding ground for ignorance.
Well your opinion is partly retarded and mostly wrong. Got a vid of someone like MSR using a cross up? I know for a fact roger jr has some scary ass crossups with his uf3+4 but thats all I know of thats effective.
This is something that is personal, and no one will argue against. If you don’t like it, fine, but don’t go talking like you know what you’re doing.
A Doctor friend of mine (psychologist) once said:
“Obviously, mentally challenged people don’t know that they are. That’s one of the differences between them and the sane. Although that’s also the reason why they’re generally happy - as ignorance truly is bliss.”
pats dd on the back
It’s ok man. You can be the mascot or something.
Oh, and the same “tried and true” tactics exist in every FG. SF can never lose the jumping in move into 2-in-1 hado. That’s who the character (and the game) is.
