I just started Parks and Rec on Monday and I’m all caught up now - the show was so good that I couldn’t stop watchi ng. It really does feel like the earlier (good) seasons of The Office. Ron and Tom are the funniest characters. Ron with corn rows and Ron dancing in April’s hat made me lose it. Honorable mention goes to Andy.

Gotta say, I was a doubted of this show until my gf made me sit down and watch a full episode back in season 2. I’ve developed into an addict since then :P.
Ron Swanson is easily my favorite character, I loved when he took that little girl under his wing and taught her about government. I do have to admit that Tom Haverford is a close second. “I call noodles ‘long ass rice.’” lol
The more I watch this show, the harder it is for me to pinpoint my favorite character. Have you ever just watch Andy when someone else is talking? His facial expressions are amazing. I also love Ben’s awkwardness.
Actually, yeah I have noticed Andy’s facial expressions when others are talking. That look of excitement that he gets kills me. All of the characters are amazing IMO, I guess I just feel more drawn to Ron and Tom.
I like Andy. I’m surrounded by a lot of women in this department, and that includes the men.

Finally caught up lol. The ep where they have a painting of Tom as a fat baby angel almost killed me.
So, there’s a new promo out with both Tammy 1 and Tammy 0 (Ron’s mom) out there…

Ok, like Community, I’m going to do my top 5 of 2011. This is even easier because all of season 3 was in 2011 due to a neutered schedule. Unfortunately, Season 4 hasn’t stuck out as much as S3, so while I love the eps of this season, they haven’t lived up to the epicness of season 3.
- Harvest Festival - Introduction of Lil’ Sebastian, that’s all that needs to be said.
- Ron and Tammy pt 2 - Ron with corn rows, also the real first introduction of nervous, stammering Ben.
- Soul Mates - Tom’s sland dictionary, Tom singing Forever Young and his Leslie Knope and Tom Haverford song
- Media Blitz - Ben’s awkwardness exploding in gallons of comedy cum
- The Fight - Ron, drunk, dancing.
Honorable Mentions - April and Andy’s Fancy Party, Ron and Tammys, End of the World
Character of the Year - Jean-Ralphio. Ben Schwartz literally hit it out of the park every single time he was on camera. Best side character ever.
So, I know no one posts here, but Louis CK is returning to Parks tonight.
I’ve still been watching regularly. The past few eps have been good and got me to chuckle a few times, especially the bowling episode.

Louis CK’s return as Dave might not have a huge effect on the running storylines, but it was welcome anyway.
It’s great that he really gets into the character. Most stand-up comedians who do sitcoms just play variations on their own personalities.
He hit Dave perfectly, like he never left that character. So, they mentioned him coming back to town, does that mean Louis is going to be a semi-regular character? I find that hard to believe with the amount of work he does on his own show…but I’d be more than happy to see him back.
I don’t know how I feel about this whole Tom/Ann thing though.
I see Tom and Ann as a possible early warning sign that the show is starting to run aground. It’s exhausted the logical pairings of its established characters and it’s getting into the weirder permutations… and to what? Give them something to do? Are they that useless to the show at this point?
