His Sagat was very aggresive/rushdown. I think you should have thrown more CS out on his wakeups. He wasn’t blocking most of the time on it, meaning you should have conditioned him to. Throw them until you feel he’s expecting, mix it up with throws after. If you’re uncomfortable with CS wakeup on fear he does block it, save 2 bars to fadc out of it. If you do connect, free 2nd CS. If he does get the block off, fadc into your mixup.

I think your footsies needs a little work, the 5 hit link combo was doing well and doing horrible throughout both fights. When you could get hit confirm and all 5 hits, perfect. But when you would get blocked you 85% of the time followed up with a dive kick, which ended up with a TU reversal. The dive kicks almost seemed ‘predictable’. I saw once you c.lk c.lp > throw. Caught him waiting for the dive kick?

The rushdown/pacing of the matches. Take some time and get yourself comfortable. If you’re all rush rush rush then you’ll get hit with more than you should because youre not blocking when you should. Sagat will make it hurt too. Before you know it you’ll be dead with the king. Mixup your pace, just like you do so well with the rest of your cammy.

haha thanks for the advice. I do need to work on being clam when I play. I get too zoned it and forget that my opponent has a brain too haha. Last time he and I had a match I was able to predict 90% of his Tiger Knee. I cannon spiked him every day. Got a perfect on him too :D. I no longer fear his sagat. There’s 2 other Sagats that I have a hard time fighting. I think it’s just being too predictable.

Was quite nervous since this was my first G1 final vs an abel.
Easy on those wake up c.spikes (I was surprised how many wake up c.spikes that Abel dude ate in the 3rd round). Punish blocked wheel kicks with your c.spikes if he used from 1/2 screen away (which means he either used mk or hk version). You need to add more wake up game. Hooligans works well against Abel…

I learned the hard way that cspike mixup is a bad idea now,because you eat a cod.Tought abel couldnt punish it.
if you have two bars, you can keep doing wake up c.spikes if he is close, so he can’t cross you up, until he changes.
it’s risk and reward thing. if the reward is bigger than the risk, do it.

First round was all nerves. Second round is better and third round better still.
i’m sorry but it never get better after round 1. you may win this time, but those random SA, CS will not cut it.
Too much random moves and hope to get lucky. you need to try to cut down on it.

Wookie you are throwing out way too much random stuff hoping they hit.
Just throwing out a spiral arrow is going to get you destroyed in the long run. Same with those cannon spikes.
I still have a long way to go myself, but I think you may need to read up on some of the basics and learn some bnbs.
You definitely want to stay away from Cannon Spike after a blocked Cannon Strike. That can be punished pretty badly if the other player knows what they’re doing. A blocked CStrike is a great chance to make your opponent nervous by mixing up throws and block strings.
jeez wookie, no offense but that was just poorly played. way too many CS whiffs. it’s remarkable that the akuma didn’t punish you for all of them.
Not Cammy, played Akuma because this was an arcade tourney and dang I coulda hit so many bnbs but chose to grab whiff instead…bleh. Nervous.
