Tarkatan Alien is stupid fun too… He’s a less terrible Baraka. I’m pleased as punch. Except he looks way less awesome than Baraka… Acidic Alien is a lot like FANG.

Butcher has to be Leatherface’s best variation. 6f command grab punishes sooo many things.

I won’t be able to make Hexter’s again, but I’ll be at dickens Sunday. Can definitely bring a copy of MKXL if you wanted to play to. Still piecing Leatherface together haha, fucker has +15 restands.

its the fucking same.

i wonder what the heck is making it perform like shit? i’ll try to fuck with it a bit, the graphics options are fairly limited.

I had the same issue… 970, but also slowdown. After much fuckery with various monitoring softwares, it turns out (after reseating the shit job memex did on my cpu) that the VRMs on my mobo were overheating, causing it to clock down, resulting in the slowdown. It wasn’t my graphics card at all.

hmm I’ll make sure it isn’t being bogged down. Gonna run some diagnostics and benchmarks.

But It’s probably just capcoms shitty game coding lol. Literally any other game runs phenomenally.

i tested the input lag on my monitors using this site http://tft.vanity.dk/inputlag.html
the one i usually play on has like 48ms of delay hory shiet. (its like 3 frames, i think evo monitors are like 8ms.)

combine that 48ms with wi-fi connection and its no wonder i cant anti-air anything online.

i also tested my flat panel computer monitor alongside a CRT and it actually has less than 1 ms difference. too bad it doesn’t have hdmi or sound.

plus im on ps3 stick and there are rumors that legacy controllers lag (though i don’t think it’s true.)
im switching to wired connection and a diff monitor before i play any more sfv yeesh.

lol who knows, for something as miniscule as display lag they probably dont need double digits in hours lmao.

all i did was hook up the computer to two monitors at once and start the timer. take a picture with a camera of both screens at once and it’ll show the difference between the two. starting with a crt is a good idea cuz theyre considered lagless.

not the most scientific approach but i think it works.

which warehouse, I have been dispatching for 5 years in Oil field and Frieght Transportation but I did 5 years warehousing before that, Forklifts shipping recieving all that jazz, I have been applying to everything, few calls and interviews but with so many people outta work it’s tough right now even getting in anywere.

This is how we tested monitors back in vanilla sf4 days. Lapchi got me to test a few different brands to find which ones we were gonna use at Canada Cup. If you remember playing on the tubby’s projector, i kept telling people that it lagged and no one believed me until people started getting competitive.

Played a good 100 or so matches with falken

I gotta admit Killey you were actually right on a lot of stuff.

[details=Spoiler]The pokes are really strong. And the c hp anti-air with claw is flawless if you are anti-airing a deep jump in… the hitbox is kind of all along his body at about the height of the claw towards his head.

So initially I was relying a lot on no claw to anti air everyone with c HP no claw which basically does not lose from any range.

But with no claw your footsies are hamstrung big time without c. mp and st. mp. and I haven’t quite figured out how to get good damage as the force stand frame trap off of fierce is gone.

The command grab is good but ehhhhh I have a bad habit of doing a mixup with it and putting myself in the corner.

V-trigger;
Anti-air; I’m not using it for anti-air purposes really as I have good anti-airs. I’m more using it for anti-jump outs.
Horizontal - Using it to get out of the corner or easy confirm into huge super damage.
Jump forward - flawless anti-fireball punish from full screen, super easy.

V-skill
Super good for fireballs. Incredibly situational and risky to use as a footsie tool. But if you hit you get precious V-trigger gauge. V-trigger filling up fast is awesome in a lot of matchups for the reversal which gives you room to breathe, and if you’re fighting zoners it’s great for the anti-fireball. Anti-jump out and combo V-trigger are a little underwhelming rn.
The combo into V-skill off of target combo isn’t as bad as I thought either. It is best to use the st. HP as a counter poke and just let the target combo come out because the second hit has a lot more range. If you combo into the V-skill it doesn’t give much V-trigger but it’s a good footsie tool since even if they block it, if you space the 2 hits properly a lot of characters can’t punish it.

V-reversal
Falken got some punishes on my flips that did hella damage… In the corner they are a huge liability, but midscreen they’re amazing, especailly the PPP flip. Just as long as you can maintain ground control and not get yourself pushed back further, they’re great.

EX Aurora spin edge is a really good move. Pushes people so far, confirms easily off of jabs even on crouchers, and on block puts you in awesome position.

HP is great for a really obvious jump in that you can punish with death combo but man it’s not so good on the fly. You need to almost hit people jumping in so deep that they’re crossing up too. And I started using HK for anti-air which is pretty strong, if you get a crush counter it’s death time.

Was hitting the proper midscreen / corner counter hit combos on whiffed DPs and a few actual frame traps too. Vega can hit so fucking hard if you let him.

using LK roll for spacing sometimes too. seems hard to punish

Overall I think Vega can get run over by some rushdown but is pretty good on his feet. good footsies, good damage conversion, and wicked anti-airs but if you let people close the gap you can suffer. But having good anti-airs makes everything seem so much more fair lol.[/details]
