There’s pros and cons to quick rise vs no tech in the corner but feels like quick rise gives you less time to react to something and makes it easier for your opponent to do a meaty or throw. It can also give the opponent a quick ambiguous cross up/not cross up situation if you quick rise. Not teching can throw off meaty timing, throw timing, and cross up attempts. Getting a safe jump is dependent on how they reacted to the knockdown. Not quick rising in the corner does give the opponent time to plan out their next attack in more detail so there’s other options that come with it. There was a match in top 8 at Winter Brawl where LI Joe got an empty low setup because the opponent did a quick rise so saying that situation only occurs in a no tech situation is false. In the long run you probably need a bit of both to keep the opponent guessing. They’re at enough of an advantage in that situation but at least timing of subsequent offense is not flow chart, for the time being. It’s quite possible someone figures out a setup that covers quick rise, back tech, and no tech.

The Robots are all super fun, I still haven’t even tried LeatherBalls yet but he looks fun. The Net Code is holding up great, I had the beta and it was amazing but I was holding my breath until everyone got in there, I guess they started working on it right after they released the game in 2015 so thats kinda funny.
I mean, when you play someone who is wireless and has 2 netflix streams and some torrents DLoading you are still gonna have a bad time, but thats anygame, 95% of matches I play are excellent Killer Instinct quality online.
I do wish I still had my PS4 to play some SFV, but I have been in the Foger boat for a month now

you’re a hardware guy. do you know if SFV supports SLI? my desktop is running dual 760’s and the game isn’t running “perfectly” - some framerate issues for sure. Just wondering if going out and buying a 970 is a good idea?
are your drivers up to date? the game does support SLI but when you have two graphics cards, they don’t always work perfectly in tandem with each other. in other kinds of games that isn’t a big deal but in a fighter, it’ll have little freakouts from time to time that will lead to an occasional stutter
you could upgrade but there should be new Nvidia cards dropping any day now, they were supposed to come out first quarter 2016, so something newer and better might hit the streets soon

Laptop runs it perfect, so not terribly concerned. but I might just say fuck it and get a 970, I have a gift certificate for memex I gotta use up anyway.
Don’t think it’s my CPU or RAM either, any other game runs at master race settings without any probs. Thanks capcom lol
