yeah I know about hp and cr hp, they’re pretty good but I found it hard to use against stuff like dive kicks. never thought of using the command dash palm thingy tho, I’ll try it out.
also u can anti-air and cancel into command dash under them for a mixup (u probably knew already but just in case.)
Ah right i forgot about the divekick part. I actually played a necalli at the meetup last night who was pretty gung ho on the divekicks and it beat karins aa ex meter spin thing CLEAN. I got him right at the top of his jump arc so im guessing the invinc had run out by then.
In the end i just resorted to meeting him in the air and that worked out way better than using a grounded anti air move. I feel like karins aa s are a little finicky already without having to worry about delayed jump arcs too.
might be a pretty well known, but foger if you jump in and hit confirm with mk (or hp), stand mp, crouch mp, lk valiant rebellion xx ceremony of honor. pretty fat damage for a jump in with full bar
over all his hit confirms into ceremony of honor are dope as fuck… close standing hp into that shit is so satisfying
have any advise for mask of tlalli? it’s such a weird command grab compared to birdie / gief. any block strings or mixups which lead to opportunities / best times to throw it out would be much appreciated…
Only do stomp if they block your string(go into training mode and set the dummy to random block and practice St.Mk, c.MP and either stomp or dash depending if they block or not - you get enough time to recognize if you hit them or not and after a while it becomes second nature), if you get a hit with St.MP/Mk then go for the dash ender. Basically whenever I hit St.Mk or St.MP I start holding back so I can get the charge time in case it hits
Tack the super on after more hits since it isn’t affected by scaling(km pretty sure anyways, could be wrong). Raw St.HP xx super is just missing out on free damage, if you can hit the St.HP then go for the Mk stomp, c.MP xx super version of the combo unless you’re too far away
I haven’t really messed around with comand throw much yet. Meaty St.lk is a great setup for it.ive pretty much only landed it after doing lots of pressure in the corner. I def wanna figure out some setups. Be warned though since it doesn’t set up any oki, just leaves everything neutral, your best use of it is to scare people and build meter
mixing-up between valiant rebellion & disc of the gods in a block string or hit confirm = possible?.. in theory you could basically choose which button to press by the command being “mashed” – inputting a half circle forward from charge -that said, you can go with a disc of the gods (by preemptively charging back, hcf+p) or valiant rebellion (hcf+k).
oh certainly. though it’s not quite hcf since you’re going to be linking c.mp, which will make the motion something like 1236 which will give you both the charge and the qcf, at that point you just need to react to the blue shield and press lk instead of lp
careful with that stick bro, the case is coming apart and I don’t want it to fall apart before i tape it back together. was gonna do that when i got home from mexico
also one of the buttons doesn’t work because the connector came off the back of it. the bottom right most one
mexico is fun but i wish i was fighting in the streets a little bit too
Hey guys, new to the forums! Ryan here. Was at Hexter’s this Wednesday night, first time at a meet up group and had an awesome time. If anyone is interested in hitting me up online my X1 and PS4 tags are CuteYogaGirls. See you next week!
idk about anyone else, but a lot of my problems on pc disappeared last night. i can now alt tab, the menus work better, haven’t been DC’d in a long time
basically the only thing i still dont like is that you can’t save your training mode settings and the start button on my sfxt stick still doesn’t work
right on, was pretty sure I was doing it last night, just didn’t 100% confirm haha. and yeah you’re totally right on the db-d-df-f motion for sure, rather than qcf
