Is it safe to assume nobody actually enjoys playing mario kart against your friend ricky?
Wow, this is awesome!!
Nah, a lot of the people that were commenting on his run are just about as good as him. The matches are actually pretty intense to watch sometimes (though item luck plays a factor in the short term). They have to ban certain shortcuts though, because some of them make actual racing pretty stupid. He didn’t win the MK64 tournament we had this year at the summer meetup. Of course, a person who isn’t a hardcore MK player would never beat him in a set, heh (including me). Newer Mario Kart games make the powerful last place items way more destructive; the SNES and N64 versions are pretty tame by comparison, which usually promotes skill more, but lightning bolts are the worst (because you can prevent people from doing shortcuts and you can become a kingmaker by holding onto the lightning and choosing which of the leading players you’re going to screw over when they attempt a shortcut).
Also, I’m looking to hook up a game controller to my PC finally. I bought a wireless USB thing that Microsoft sells to hook up 360 controllers to PC, used it for a while, then someone snatched it out of my bag at Dickens (man I lose a lot of things at Dickens lol). So I could buy another one of those but the first party ones are hard to find. Anybody have solutions? I could hook up a PS3 controller but I don’t have a bluetooth dongle… can I just go buy any old cheapo one of these or do some introduce lag?
just use the ps3 cable and connect it to your pc, then download motion joy
You can just run DS3tool if you don’t mind being tethered to your PC with a PS3 pad . . . I bought an Afterglow 360 to use with my PC. They’re pretty cheap ($30) but Walmart didn’t honor my Fanatiq promo code
I just bought a wired 360 controller that i only use on the PC, screw wireless unless its on a console
I’ve been trying daigo tactics online here. I’ve been counter hit dping people out of pokes all day! Also just by showing them I’m willing to dp I get ALOT more throws then I should I literally ONLY threw a ken player and won the round and the match. complete mind fuck. my frame trap now is jab walk forward hp.dp. lol
I wouldn’t mind buying a wired 360 controller, but the thing is, sometime in the next short while MS will come out with drivers for Xbox One controllers, and I’ll probably just buy one of those (the plug and play versions also serve as wired controllers, unlike 360). I don’t want to spend $40+ on an old controller.
I didn’t realize the USB cable for PS3 transmitted data, I thought it was just a charge thing like the 360. Cool, if it’s as simple as just hooking up the cable to a USB port, I’ll do that. The cable is, unfortunately, very short though, so it might not work long term but hopefully by then the XB1 controller thing will work.
I didn’t think it did either… pretty sure in order to use the PS4 controller you couldn’t just plug it into the PC with the PS3 charge cable
I guess i was misinformed lol
you can use a ps3 pad wired but ds3 tool / motioninjoy SUCKS. it’s really buggy and kind of a shitty hack to get things to work; if you want to enable bluetooth you have to install the motioninjoy drivers over top of your existing bluetooth drivers which fucks everything else up.
ps4 pad is a lot easier, it reads as a wired usb controller naturally and also works over bluetooth without any modification or drivers. if you get ds4tool you can wrap xinput overtop and use it just like a 360 pad.
if i remember correctly, connecting a PS3 controller doesn’t work out of the box though. you have to use a 3rd party software to communicate it to the PC.
whereas my wired 360 controller works straight out of the box and most games on the PC configure everything for you automatically. its truly plug and play like as if it were a console.
pdp afterglow 360 controller ftw.
also, for maximum awesome, there is a sick program that allows you to use the controller as your mouse/keyboard.
i’ll post a link for it here later for you living room PC guys, it’s radical!!!
there are lots of them out, but this one is the best imo.
with a quick button combo (LB1+RB1+A) it disables when fullscreen/steam big picture etc!
got it:
I guess I really should have invested in a wired 360 controller a while back, the PDP controllers are good? I’m willing to spend a bit (but not $60) on something that works out of the box with no insane setup.
I would have just bought a wireless 360 USB hub thing, but I literally can’t find them sold anywhere locally anymore and I don’t want to have to wait to ship a 3rd party thing from Hong Kong for 20 business days.
using an Xbox One controller on the PC would be awesome. I messed around with my friend’s a couple weeks ago and I thought it felt a lot better than the 360 controller, and the new force feedback in the triggers was really nice in Forza 5.
It is pretty neat, the rumble triggers actually kinda give you a “feel” for the car. Very Cool.
the thing that sucks is when your batteries start to get low the rumble auto shuts off so your batteries last longer. and they don’t tell u these things lol. so i thought my controller broke.
buy Starbound. that is all.
hahaha you are playing it too Peter? I played it a good 10 hours this past weekend. I am taking a short little break for now since there is supposed to be a character wipe really soon… after that, characters should stop getting wiped. then I’m going to find a server to play on
knock knock
who’s there
goku
goku who?
goku is a gay ass piece of shit
hahahahaha
