haha yeah cody im sooo hooked on that game. we’ll have to visit each other’s planets sometime haha.
last night my friend came over and i introduced the game to him. i went to sleep at 11pm while he kept playing the game. i woke up this morning at 7am to get ready for work and he was still playing it hahahaha. he’s addicted.
if it had come out sooner in 2013, i wouldve given it my personal favorite game of 2013 award.
speaking of which, my personal favorite game of 2013 award goes to Spelunky (PC).
what are your fave games of 2013? (pick one game only)
hahah yea sounds like a plan. Building a nice house is time consuming but some of the stuff people have made already just blows my mind.
my game of 2013 is Rogue Legacy since it was one of the only games I played.
Spelunky is fun but I prefer Rogue Legacy’s flavor a lot more. it’s like the ultimate version of Castlevania
The only way I would ever possibly think this is a good idea would be if online matches required you pay like $0.25, and you can keep playing until you lose. Replicating the arcade at home.
SF is too much of a cash cow to make F2P.
think about it – they’ve basically stuck a band-aid on and resold the same game 3 times already, 4 when ultra drops.
unless they do what adam is saying… that might work?
mind you, F2P games seem to be all the rage in terms of popularity and tournaments are concerned… look at league of lameness!
I don’t ever think they’d charge arcade style. That just poops all over what has made LoL and DOTA so successful. If it did happen they’d have to monetize it just like LoL I would assume - cosmetic upgrades and character unlocks. I’d be okay with this. Seems like the next logical step for FG’s.
But it wouldn’t be all that successful anyway unless Capcom provided the same level of support/infrastructure those giant games get.
Edit: Game of the year was Injustice. Suck it… or Last of Us…
Troy/Greg/Lap: I interviewed for a sales position at a staples today, theyre asking for an additional reference (BioWare doesnt give references), and we discussed volunteer work - the volunteer work ive done for CCG is sufficient for a character reference. Could I ask one of you to provide a reference for me, given all the setup/teardown I help ya with and my unwavering dedication to the scene? thanks in advance
Weird to see Spelunky get 2013 game of the year nods, when it came out on Xbox in 2012, and even THAT version was based off a version that came out in like 2009.
I have so many games to play. Looking forward to Zelda 3DS though, which is on my desk right now.
