Are you Dash Canceling out of your Focus Attack? If you don’t you wont get the ex TK out fast enough, Dan should crumple to the ground as if you hit him another focus attack

If the super keeps comming out it’s because you aren’t SJCing to the ultra or you aren’t hitting all three buttons if you aren’t using a PPP button
this shit is unreal. ive done everything in the game, every trial/challenge/ whatever, but after months, i still cannot get past viper’s 3rd hard. its to the point where its just a joke. i can hjc normals into ultra, i just cant do it in the fucking combo.
fuck you capcom.
hahaha yea took me about 8 hours one day to just do it, very annoying trial i havent even tried learning to cancel normals into ultra consistently because i dont feel like getting that pissed off again lol.

Just curious, how much trouble did El Fuerte’s 4th trial give you? I’m stuck on that shit, and I figure I’ll have a better chance at her than his 4th 
I’m also on her third btw, managed to get the HJC out but not the Ultra =P
i think the only way i passed it was mashing the motion for the sjc and ultra lol
I can trial 3 every 10 to 20 or so tries in training mode. It’s just do it fast and pray. That’s all there is to it. You got 1 frame to put it all in so make it count.
I guess as a “plus” for me, I’ll probably never get pissed off trying to do her stuff, since I want to pick her up as a main.

lol i wanted to main her also but that doesnt mean you wont get mad trying to learn her, but now i dont have a problem with anything i learned how to link my normals to ultra last night in about 5 min, and i have yet to play a viper i couldnt hang with or totally destroy.
Other than her trials, I just gotta learn to cancel consistently and not waste EX Bars.

i was literally about to vent about how i did the combo once but instead of doing cr. lp, i did standing lp. i was FURIOUS.
the next attempt i did it correctly.
on to 4!

5 is cake if u can do 3 u can do 5.
imo, fuerte’s only hard combo is the daipan loop (hard 5) and even that was pretty simple in retrospect. your problem is you have no rhythm :wgrin:
gen is prob 2nd hardest (5th hard)
none of them hold a candle to viper 3 and 5 though…
ken’s 5 gets an honorable mention
the hardest part of viper’s 5th combo is the beginning. the end is not difficult but those fierces are crazy
Heh…I still think Gen overall is a more execution heavy character than Viper. Viper has more things you have to remember execution wise but none of them require 1 frame timing ( about 7 or 8 ms). The one good thing about C.Viper’s execution is that outside of SJC FADC Ultra and SJCing normals into Ultra she doesn’t have anything quite as execution intensive as far as timing as Gen technically. Gen requires you to do 1 frame links in like all of his combos that matter. Meaning if you’re playing online or on a laggy TV you have no hope of playing Gen even remotely correctly. Jibbo lost a team tournament match at Evo he probably should have won (coming back with no health against an opponent who had all their life) because the crowd choked him up as he was trying to do a 1 frame link. Viper luckily doesn’t have anything 1 frame except for jab SJC Ultra which is useless in competitive play.
Nah you’ll find it easy after a while. Just do a cr.hp and buffer a heavy thunder knuckle then press the lp+mp+hp slightly delaying it.
I find her 5th trial easy compared to her 3rd. :S

I never would have gotten past the first hard trial, let alone first all 5.
OMFG, I finally nailed that third hard trial, woot!
I was trying to find the timing to link st.lk > cr.lp and out of nowhere I did the qcfx2 > uf + 3p and bam the Ultra fired with High Jump highlighted, I need to get that shit down, but fuck the lp, I’ll go with cr.mk.
I can’t do Viper’s second trial! What I do is, after the c.hp I press PPP and also cancel with PPP then do the ultra. It doesn’t connect because by that time Dan is blocking. If someone knows a better way to do this then let me know.
