i cant seem to do it fast enough but i feel like im doing it as fast as is even possible!! like dan will still be bent over from the c.hp but he will still be able to stand back up in time before the ultra connects
Still not fast enough. Keep at it. It’s one of Viper’s more useless combos IMO so when you get it down just be happy you’ll never have to use it again. :lol:

yup, im getting the text to turn red.
i did it, but with out the focus attack while just practicing. now i cant seem to do it anymore. i can pretty consistently land the punch and the cancel, but usually the ultra wont come out. how far over exactly does dan need to be bent over when ultra goes off for this to work? his right hand is usually off screen when it does work, but he still blocks it.
you need to do it faster. the burning kick shoud go off the same time you leave the ground, or it won’t count.
Just need to finish her #5, and I’m finally done with all trials. Woo. Gen’s only took about 20 minutes due to distracting peoples in the room.
if you are speaking to me:…what burning kick? the one im stuck on doesnt have a BK
so can you or can’t you use the EX cancel to do her second hard trial or do you have to use the HP MP to cancel it?

I can see everything past the TK cancel as being useful. I already use that in game anyway. Great combo, but that TKC is completely unnecessary. I can live without an extra fp worth of damage for simplicity’s sake.
It’s not completely unnecessary at all and he did say at higher level play. I’m not saying we all play at that level, but I’m sure it’s something we all ultimately aspire to achieve. And at that level, you have to take advantage of every little opportunity to do damage, especially against some of the tougher matchups. The damage it does is only part of it–it builds good meter, more stun, and it psyches your opponent out. When they see you pull that off, it’ll make them think twice before they do anything.
You’re right though, for now just keep it simple. But that extra FP is far from completely unnecessary.
you have to do HP cancel. EX, LP, and MP take to long and cant combo.
i think i might actually be doing it too fast…i think my second qcf ppp is coming out the same time as the TK cancel is finishing up just a HAIIRRRRRR too soon so that the ultra wont come out…
edit: AW CRAP…ive been doing ex tk, not hp tk
edit 2: once i realized that, and that was i was indeed, going TOO fast, i slowed down and got it!! WOOOOOOOOO!!! TWO IN ONE DAY BABY passes out now that its 4:30 am
Oh man…you weren’t even doing the right combo the whole time. :lol: Glad you finished it though. Now you never have to use it again.
well what was happening was that i was pressing ppp too quickly to cancel the tk and instead of canceling, it was just making it the ex version, and the second time i pressed ppp was doing the cancel on the ex tk rather than the ultra. the reason i could never get it to work was because, if the ultra ever was going to come out, it would be on a third ppp click which was then way too slow. plus the ex version is a lot slower to start with (27 frames instead of 7).
Ahhh, all trials comprete. Hooray.
The reason trial 5 is so hard for me, is because of canceling the second cr.FP into ex seismo.
The game really seems to lag behind when ive done the motion, so the timing is difficult…
i can do cr.fp xx TKC, cr.FP almost all the time though…

I seem to always do a super instead of an ultra at the end of the combo. Is it because:
A) I have a button mapped to the X3 punch. I heard reports that mapping the x3 buttons don’t seem to work?
B) I’m holding on to the j. punch a little too long?
C) I’m not properly doing the HJC? I’m not mashing the 450 degree motion because I can’t seem to do it fast enough.
D) Is there another thing that I could be screwing up on? I just can’t get the ultra out for some strange reason…
youre probably negative edging the cr.lp causing it to do a super.
