Today I did ex siesmo > air flame kick > hp tk midscreen.
I’ve forgotten the exact details but the ex siesmo was a reversal on wake up and the guy whiffs his move through me.
Completely off-topic: This viper that goes by v1ctoly on xbox live COMPLETELY raped me.
Was 3 round rounds and it probably only lasted 1 minute. he double feint fierced me twice within the two matches and his cancels and pressure game was just insane.
Anyways I was looking at third strike videos and I noticed some videos of him playing third strike against the likes of kokujin and daigo so no wonder…
Assuming its him of course.
Actually this does work since I’ve done it before. Only problem is that I’ve never actually tested it extensively. I did it once and it worked, but since I haven’t gotten it to work. It must be a very short open window. So it’s probably not worth taking a chance on.
I’ve been using negative edge for fierce TK cancels off of standing or crouching fierces… for low forwards I’m able to just do a regular fierce TK cancel with a rhythm. Why can I do it with low forwards and not fierces? Who knows =\ either way, I guess everyone just needs to find their own thing to make Viper work for 'em
so before that mad tea party vid i didn’t know about the ex seismo flamekick fierce knuckle midscreen. so i hit the lab and figured out how to do it.
the basic combo is fierce, ex seismo late mk flamekick, qcf fierce. what seems to happen is this creates a cross up where you land in front of them slightly but they fly back over your head so you have to do the motion in reverse. now on to the list of people i got it to work on.

i couldn’t get this off a fierce fient fierce it seems to push them too far. so only go for this when you’re not sure if dbl cr.fierce will hit.
honda is weird sometimes i had to qcb and sometimes i had to qcf for the knuckle to come out.
also i’m not saying 100% it doesn’t work on those people just i couldn’t get it to work
I see that it must be a mk flame kick to do the hp knuckle midscreen for this combo.(or at least it makes it easier)
I’ve never completely understood what difference the mk and hk flame kicks make.
Its really too bad You can’t juggle someone with three hits (At least I think so). I was attempting j.hk s.fp xx ex seismos sjc BK fp tk to ultra, but the ultra wouldn’t ever land. I thought I was onto something =p
Yeah since the beginning I haven’t been able to land ultra after any corner combos but burning kick or strong TK. You can still unload a lot of hits on a juggled opponent in the corner though, I don’t think it caps at 3.
Sorry for the noob question, but I’m looking for a particular video of Viper that I can’t seem to find on this page.
It’s Viper v Ken, and the audio isn’t directly from the game so you can hear voices and shit… And Viper corners Ken on the right and does a j. HP, cl. HP, Thunder Knuckle Cancel, then I think a cr. HP and stuns the opponent… Then she focus attacks, then combos him from there and the people watching are all yelling and shit.
It’s a vague ass description, but that’s about the best I can do. If anyone knows the video I’m talking about say word, I’d hella appreciate it. Thanks
This might be better answered in the quick questions for Viper thread that is stickied but none the less I think you might have some luck going through kryojenix videos, if you can remember what the viper color was we can pretty much tell you which player it was.
For all of the more complicated combos (like the ones with feints and such)
eample: st.fp xx qcb+hp ~ pp, cr.fp xx dp+pp SJC qcb+k, qcb+hp can do 2xqcf+ppp afterwards, its less hard than midscreen (posted by FullMetalRoss on the old thread)
I never see any footage of these, not even by really good players. Can these really be used, like in actual matches? Are they to character/situational specific to be practical?
You see them (or variations of the theme) all the time don’t you? Any combo with a fierce feint fierce in it rapidly racks up the stun, that’s why they’re so useful. So, e.g., [media=youtube]tsy3gbYUtdI&feature=channel_page"[/media] in the first round Kensou does:
j.HK, st.HP xx HP TK cancelled, cr.HP xx MP TK
FA, st.HP xx HP TK cancelled, cr.HP xx EX Seismo, TK feint (presumably for the lulz?), MP TK
With the second one, I’m sure (though my understanding of Viper isn’t brilliant) he could’ve tacked an Ultra on at the end somehow had the Blanka beat him up enough beforehand.
If i’m not mistaken he SJC the first TK and feinted so he could land the MP TK reliably. Off the top of my head I know you can do the MP TK in the corner after the regular recovery from ex seismo but it hits pretty late. You can SJC TK feint and pull the MP TK out much earlier so you have alot more room to work with (And yeah you can tack the ultra on after the MP TK).
You can sjc into mp tk by just going qcb, ub + mp, but they might use the feint cause its more reliable i guess seeing you are slightly at risk of doing an empty sj with the former method i guess.
Yeh u delay the sjc to juggle, i think u can still do a late cancel? Or maybe im wrong, but i swear i could cancel out of a seismo quicker doing a delayed sjc as opposed to waiting for the animation to end in its entirety.
