EX TK crumples letting you go right into Ultra. It’s kinda supposed to be hard to land.
Make her moves easier to use I find some thigns impossible to perform. I broke my new PS3 controller in two weeks trying to play with her. Her Ultra could hit a little better and a bit more health would be cool. Also I agree on upping the sexiness.

I think AA Fierce TK -> Ultra is fine the way it is right now. Sure, it can miss and is character-specific, but if you’re a Viper player you’re gonna have to know that anyway. Having a near-guaranteed Ultra off of an anti-air is one of the reasons why everyone cries about Ryu being overpowered, and the farther we can get from that the better. I mean, we’ve already got AA trade -> dash into Ultra, I don’t think it’s that big of a deal.
EX TK’s the same case, there’s a reason why it’s so hard to land. While it’s definitely one of her least useful moves, having such a great reward for landing it (crumple into Ultra) means it HAS to be hard to land. When we start talking about putting in hyper armor and all this other BS to make it more powerful and thus easier to land, I feel that from a balancing standpoint they should at least take away the crumple. EX TK is an EX TK, not a Boxer EX Dash Punch.
In short, leave her the way she is. Maybe lessen the cooldown on a whiffed Ultra, but don’t turn her Fierce TK into a Shoryuken and don’t screw with the Ultra hitbox. If people want to learn how to play Viper properly, they should actually have to put in the time to learn.
Except that boxer can land ultra off an EX Dash Punch (overhead). Rufus can land ultra off a standing lk target combo. Plenty of characters have much easier ways to guarantee ultra so ex TK’s ability to do so really isn’t anything crazy, especially since the move itself sucks so bad. I don’t think it should get armor because Viper isn’t that kind of character. I DO think it should be faster, though.
Easy fix here,take away the crumple as that shit should not be a placeholder for a half useless move.
Make the ex comboable to actual big damage combos so i might have a real option if i end up down and cornered.
Both characters you named have a reputation for having pretty bland, easy mode playstyles, and their Ultra setups reflect that. I think that it’s a mistake to push Viper in that direction, as that’s not why we play her.
Sorry if I’m misreading your post here, but what you’re asking for in regards to an EX TK buff sounds a lot like EX Seismo. EX Seismo leads into a lot of different, useful combos that almost always end in an Ultra. And while it’s not as good (or as brainless) as a Shoryuken, it’s a viable wakeup option for when you end up down and cornered. It’d be nice to give her more options with a TK buff like this, but it’d be a little redundant.
It’s not to say that need be the only option,not even necessary it work well as a wakeup option,what i am saying is if the crumple is whats handicaping the move from being useful in more situations,then take the the crumple effect away.
Agreed, but your argument for why ex TK should essentially suck was that it leads directly to ultra so it should be hard to hit with. You said its necessary from a balance standpoint (as in it would make her too good), not from a character/playstyle standpoint.
Ah, in that case, I agree. Though, if we were to take away the crumple of the EX TK and allow, say, c.HP to combo into it, wouldn’t shooting halfway across the screen after hitting them (knockdown or no) sacrifice spacing?

That depends,but in this context it could open her up to an entirely new level of mixups and could actually help the zoning.
Meh part of this may just be why i am considering the switch to Guy as a main in Super.
Yeah last thing I want is an easy-mode character too. That’s why I just said ex tk could probably use a slightly faster start-up but nothing that makes it that much better than it is. My reasoning is that, as it stands now the move is more or less worthless, you never see it in competitive play. So from a game design standpoint, what’s the point of putting a move in the game if its not good enough to be useful for anything? If it was slightly faster it would at least be better for punishing random midscreen focus and such, and maybe for getting out of corners. Speaking of which, it also wouldn’t hurt if they fixed the juggle detection when you hit someone out of the air with EX tk, so it’d be kind of a situational anti-air for far away. As it stands now, the opponent is in juggle state but Viper can’t hit them at all as they fall down backwards in front of her. Maybe connecting ultra would be a bit much but I don’t see why a simple fp.tk just brushes against them instead of juggling. Actually, playing around in training I found that after hitting someone out of the air with EX tk, the only move that connects is SUPER lol. smh

EX TK right now is useless, even in attempting to punish shit. There’s nothing in it. No armor, no invincibility frame, zero priority, huge startup. I don’t mind gettiing rid of the damn crumple, it’s not even useful ATM. Unless you’re playing a complete scrub, you’re not hitting anyone with it. I don’t want it to be broken, i just want the move to have a purpose. Right now what’s it good at? Nothing. With the huge startup, i don’t think giving it armor is gonna make it broken. It will just be a tool tu punish OBVIOUS and unsafe moves. Anyways just give the move a use. Right now it serves no purpose

Pad is fine. The only macro I use is PPP for Ultra (and, I could manage to press PPP without macros if I absolutely had to). Everything else I can do straight up with no macros.
Oh, and a quicker EX TK? You guys really want a faster, unpunishable, hit confirmable, full screen, Ultra?
I like winning as much as the next player, but not at the cost of my soul. Teleports would be useless against her…which I wouldn’t mind too much against Akuma. But, Seth and Dhalsim don’t need that.
