Just make EX TK able to absorb a hit so you wouldn’t beat out supers/ultras/EX projectiles, and if you’re worried about it being overpowered, just make it punishable on block.

The only major buffs I want to see Viper get is that FTK is throw invincible, a muchly improved focus attack, and some additional hitboxes on c.MK so that it can be used for poking. I mean I’m sick of seeing her toes phase through people.
More importantly I want Capcom to fix some of the mechanics to SF4 like making inputs tighter so you don’t get accidents in commands because the game decided to read your EX Seismo as a Super. :annoy:

i mean i burn a jumping back ex fk for the same reason but the fact that i feel i need to at times to make sure is bullshit.
But your earlier glass cannon arguement has a few holes as well bro.
Case in point is Akuma,another glass cannon without half the holes in his game,he just goes around being akuma,i get he’s been around a long time and as a fan fav has made many appearence to get tweaked to the liking of most.
But thats why some of these issues need to be addressed,such as there being no hyper armor on any ex of vipers(not a world ending issue but off the top of my head i cant think of anyone else with this handicap and even if there are they usually have a secondary armor break or some such to make up for it)
Or the issue with ex tk being by and large unused,i dont think many people will make the arguement of her super being so great i’ll forgo alot of ex oppertunitys to use it(unlike say ryu)so a few tweaks on this and maybe the reaction time off a missed or blocked ex BK(i mean the regular move is better in several situations) a reoccuring theme it seems.
I’ll not make an easier execution arguement because i really think thats only a pad warriors arguement and for pad warriors well fuck off buy a stick and support the scene.

Viper needs a slight health boost. A usable FA, it doesn’t need to be great, but it shouldn’t take 14 years for it to hit. Fierce TK to have srk properties, no more trading with jump hk. And her ultra hit box needs to be improved upon. If the first part hits so should the rest. Also her ex tk should have armor.

But i also noticed the total lack of FDAC cancels into extended combos,for an offensive char this seems like a large oversight.

Well I dunno if FADC cancels off of more things would be necessary for Viper. She’s one of the only characters in the game that can cancel her uppercut to create combos. If she hits you with a hard attack you’re going to eat a ton of damage and stun. She’s also the only character in the game that can FADC (well technically it’s just glitching a super jump into a regular dash but yeah) without using any super meter. She’s the last character that would really need a boost with FADC cancels but I guess it wouldn’t hurt either.
Not saying let me fdac into a FP by maybe a mp or mk?
Yeah at a distance her combos are limited any ways. It would definitely make her a bit more aggressive in da honda and blanka matchups.

It’s balls that i have lost match’s to honda’s and boxer when all he does is ALL he does is charge down back and spam jab and break throws.

So…you play SF4 right? Because this is what shoryu’s do in this game. So actually her fierce TK does have srk properties, minus the throw evasion. We actually have a running joke that the best way to “nerf” sagat in Super is to make his tiger uppercut more invincible.
And, yes, in a roundabout way, i am suggesting far fierce FADC as a fix to the problem. Instead of whining about it and hoping it gets fixed in Super, there’s an option for you to fix it now. Yes, it’s shitty you have yet another thing to pay attention to during a fight. Or you could EX insta-back BK if you’re comfortable with the execution. Downside is, if you fuck it up, you get fucked up. We all know how terrible EX BK is on block, and especially on whiff. Far fierce FADC is the safest way to not have 4 bars. Just providing an option for people who have issues with the shortcut input like i used to. Take it or leave it. Or just mash out more random Ex Seismos. And Akuma can’t really be called a glass cannon. His design is zoning and lockdown, unlike Viper who is explosive damage and punishment. And not unlike Viper, he gets seriously fucked up for missing his shit.
So, back to the topic of the thread, i agree with anyone who said she needs to lose the diaper/manbulge, or shave. This is America, and bush is no longer accepted. Pun intended.

It does NOT have the same properties as a srk…it has 7 fucking startup frames. For example with a well timed demon flip dive kick (after a sweep or f.throw dash dash) I can stuff it every single time and it’s not even difficult (plus you can combo after stuffing it)
Making it 3 frames (like ryu’s srk, which obviuosly is also throw invincible) would definitely make viper WAY more powerful than she is now, perhaps too powerfull since her wake up options are the only thing that keep her balanced considering she has the best rushdown game in the whole game

Actually, they should give her a Hyper Beam. I don’t really care what it does, so long as it’s hyper, and a beam. Then we can get everyone whining about Hyper Viper Beams again. Good times.
Yea but the point that a fix like that even has to be discussed let alone considered.
I never said she needed more,just alterations on what she has already,saying she is totally well and balanced is also a matter of yellow compairison,because it’s from a point of view(one not shared by about 50% of the community for what it’s worth)
I just really dislike total wastes of resources so this may be my yellow colored opnion on the topic,but can someone logically argue that a mandated waste of meter as a fix for anything?
But this does tie into why i stated a real FADC to string longer combos being a nice option as it handles to much meter nicely.
