u’re wrong, they make them
I think he bought the same stick we did iCu just from NikingNiking.
Enter the dragon & ICu>> I bought from niking, read my previous post.
Fiol >>Are you sure that they make 360 sticks? They’re not available from their website,i can’t access their 360 section. And the French guy selling sie tong stick doesn’t have 360 sticks on his website…
my english is really so bad? :crybaby:
i said so many times that they make 360 sticks and also the others companies i linked some pages ago. The section of 360 stick for stjjyg is available on taobao:
http://store.taobao.com/shop/xshop/wui_page-cat-33417463-50606439-WEJPWDM2MCDUrdew0qG4y9eox/g=.htm?checkedRange=true
I have been prowling around Taobao for this past 2 days. Dianwanjie and STJJYG have XBOX 360 sections in their personal pages.
STJJYG only has 1 AS up and its the pink Ryu & Ken 8 button stick up. Dianwanjie has a couple more including the same one that STJJYG has at the same price.
I nailed down a couple of sticks I might be interested in but I dont know chinese so I will have to get a friend that does to help me thru the process.
Fiol, could you tell me wether or not I can buy one of the sticks from Taobao and have them shipped directly to were I want (USA for example)? Do I really need someone in HK to buy it for me and then have him ship it to were I want?
If I do infact need a HK agent can you give me contact information for one that speaks english please, the one you listed you said that doesnt speak english at all.
All of the Dianwanjie 8 button sticks I want are 720? and the 6 button ones are 680? . Does that mean they are using original Sanwa or they are still knockoffs? I can provide specific links to each stick Im interested in, if that helps, but I think most of them have already been linked before.
If you could help me thru the ordering process that would be awsome aswell since you probably can help me more than one of my friends
I know you have answered some of these questions, but since they were addressed at specific situations I just want to be shure. Fiol you have done a great job, and if this sticks turn out to be good you have solved a serious issue some of us have. If you dont have time to walk me thru the ordering process dont sweat it, I will try to find someone that can, but just so you know a guide on how to order the sticks for someone that doesnt know chinese would help out a lot of people that are not willing to go thru the trouble or are afraid to use a third party agent.
*Has anyone already ordered one of these sticks? How long did it take to get there and how much did it cost? Did you use an agent or did it yourselfs? And are they good or not?
When you factor in the shipping and everything these are not so cheap so I dont want to waste my money since I cant afford to buy another one if this one turns out to be a piece of crap. Do the shipping costs go down if I order more than one?
Sorry for all the questions. This is going to be my first stick and I dont have money to spare, Ive been playing 3S for 3 years using a keyboard only, my ass is not in a good shape after what people in GGPO have done to me.
*Edit: http://store.taobao.com/shop/xshop/wui_page-cat-33769121-73475327-WEJPWDM2MNKhuMs=.htm
Those are all the XBOX 360 sticks you can get from Dianwanjie.
well…taobao is only for chinese ppl (china,hk,tw) so you won’t be able to buy something from there.
The Hk agent (only for the Stjjyg, dont worry if they dont have them on the website) i think is the best solution since you can0t speak chinese… that chinese fellow knows some english but not to make an oral conversation… if you contact him by messenger or email you will find anyway a guy who can read and write english but not talk.
the thing works like this:
you contact him, you tell him what do you want (buttons layout, artwork that you provide, buttons color, balltop colors, box color, etc), he will give you a price (of course it’s not as low as you see in taobao (a x360stick from the HK guy is 880HKD if i rememebr well)) shipping included (ems) (880hkd is not shipping included), and then you decide. The stick ,if i remember well too, will be shipped directly from the company (he will ask you your mobile phone for the courier) by ems.
read above
the different between the two prices is just because of the 2 buttons.
for ex.:
http://item.taobao.com/auction/item_detail-0db1-34921c18a3f19cc871b16c0a5d759235.htm [has 6 buttons/stick sanwa]
http://item.taobao.com/auction/item_detail-0db1-c2ea0806f868c1ddd3f3b63455a6436e.htm [has 8 buttons/stick sanwa]
the problem is that for ordering directly from the company you have to write them in Chinese… the problem is not the mailorder but the communications… ex.
i full fill the order for you, you write it on the mailorder form… they will contact you by email …in chinese and you have to answer them in chinese (already tried for something i needed and they answered to my chinese email and not the english one).
i can write down the mailorder process but the problem still the language since they will answer you in chinese (google translator is a crap). I know that contact a third party agent maybe it sounds “dangerous” since you dont know him in person as I do, but at least he can communicate with you in english.
i can asnwer only to the first and the last 2 questions:
1- yes
3- agent
4- to me their stick are more than great for what they cost, i mean i didnt buy an all sanwa set cause i didnt have the money when i purchase it but since the case is the same as the fullset sanwa i can tell you that the stick is solid, easy to mod eventually. They use original japanese Sanwa (or seimitsu) component for their high quality stick so I won’t be worried about the quality.
can’t tell you that… i can tell y that to US by ems is 370HKD for one stick.
Wow fiol youre better than most costumer services some stores offer
Ok, so norristong0512@hotmail.com can communicate in english and thru him I can order a STJJYG AS and he will ship it to USA right? That means I can also costumize a couple of things like artwork and button layout and whether or not I want Sanwa originals or not, right?
So you said that the total cost of the stick without shipping is 880HKD so I need to add 370HKD for the shipping so that means that in total it would be 1250KHD for a full Sanwa STJJYG Arcade Stick right? I think thats an awsome price if thats the case.
How much would I have to wait for my arcade stick to arrive once I talk to the agent and place the order? If its like 3 weeks Im going to cry :S
Thanks for all the help fiol. And again sorry for all the questions
lol
his messenger is: norristong0512@hotmail.com (i will send y his email by MP)
yes through him you can purchase a FULLSET SANWA (for X360 they dont make the imitated sanwa,ONLY SANWA or SEIMITSU) STJJYG AS customized as you pleased (artwork that you provide him,buttons/balltop colors,6 or 8 buttons layout, box case color).
yes, if i remember correctly, 880HKD for the fullset sanwa (acrilyc print) and 370HKD shipping to US by ems.
to make the stick the company needs max 3days and then it will be shipped out… after that it’s all about the courier service (ems) and your custom … i can tell y that by courier from HK to Italy a parcel of mine (15kg) took only 4 days to arrive
hey fiol i pmed you!
replied …
night guys :wgrin:
Thanks man, so l guess he is trust worthy, was the stick of good quality and did he put in original Sanwa parts? or fake ones. He is charging me about 80 GBP for the stick with Sanwa parts.
OK, just a little update.
I just finished talking to Norris (the Hong Kong agent fiol recommended) and he seems legit. He answered all my questions without any problem. He can check with the factory to see if they have any specific items in stock.
You can customize the stick to your hearts desire. Button layout, case shape, case color, button and stick colors and they use YOUR OWN custom artwork, which is awesome.
They ship worldwide. I got the price for 2 Full Sanwa 8 Button Sticks (Japanase Arcade Layout): US$200 for each one if shipping them directly to Dominican Republic and US$186 if I ship them to USA, which I’m considering since I will probably be going to USA in a couple fo weeks anyway (just in case you didn’t pick it up yourselves the shipping is included in those prices).
$186 bucks for a full Sanwa, 8 button, custom artwork stick is pretty good if you ask me. He said the sticks would arrive in 6-7 days, which is awesome since you cant probably get Sanwa parts to mod another stick in less than that even from American stores (not that I know off anyway). If you think that is not possible, it is since I ordered something from Hong Kong 2 weeks ago and got it in 5 business days and they were not 2 little arcade sticks (19 huge boxes full of pens and alarm clocks with a clients logo on them which is harder to do than just print some artwork and put it behind a plexiglass, in case you were wondering).
If you plan on buying one of the STJJYG sticks I think it wont be a bad decision, try to get a couple of friends to order them with you since the shipping costs are pretty high and the more you order the cheaper it gets ($96 for the shipping only to Dominican Republic) but even with those shipping prices it is still a good deal.
He mentioned that they are now producing sticks with headset jack in them for $4 more bucks but I didn’t go for it since I don’t play in XBox Live.
STJJYG seem to be a pretty good brand for sticks since Ive them mentioned in other forums before. I also came about a couple of videos of people using the sticks and they all seemed satisfied with them (they showed up in the related videos column while watching some of Nareg’s videos about his SimpleSticks, which also look awesome especially if you are more of a Seimitsu fan)
Also I noticed that the Norris guy is listed as an official agent in the STJJYG page so that adds up to his credibility.
I will be placing my order in the next days (hopefully before Thursday) so I will let everyone know how the sticks turn out and take some pictures for everyone to see, I will try to get some pictures of the wiring aswell unless it turns out to complicated for me to take the bottom off (I’m a doctor/ninja not a engineer so cut me some slack).
Thanks for everyone that volunteered to be guinea pigs so those of us that cant afford bad judgment calls can (possibly) get a decent stick and huge shout-out to fiol who has done an amazing job helping everyone out.
*BTW the sticks in Taobao cannot be shipped outside of China but they can make the exact same thing if they have the parts in stock. Cheers!
Edit* If you were going to get one of these because they are a bargain, well sorry because as some people said in the thread it is not really a bargain since the shipping kills it, but it is probably one of the best options someone that wants a new stick or needs a new stick has. I would pay $186 bucks for one of these over a MD TE of eBay’s ridiculous prices, hell I would probably get it over the SE since you will probably spend more modding it and still have an inferior case. Also I call the thing were everything is put into as a case since I don’t know how else to call it. and it pretty much serves the same purpose of a computer case, just in case you didnt know what I was talking about.
Looking at the joystick buttons, those aren’t sanwas. Matter of fact, the buttons aren’t even concave! Looks flat like a seimitsu. Pretty sketchy stuff going on…
EDIT There is something really fishy going on with this ebay user. I advise NOT TO BID FROM THIS PERSON. READ THE EBAY QUESTION AND ANSWER ON THE LINK QUOTED. You’ll know why.
mine was the middle class stick so everything was as the high quality one but without original sanwa parts, only imitation… but the imitated sanwa parts werent a cheap stick and buttons… the buttons are sanwa alike and the stick is quite similar to the original one (not a plastic toy). Of course they don’t make it for a x360stick
So my stick was delivered today… At least they tried but I refused. It appeared I had to pay an extra 40+ euros for something, maybe importing or clearance rights. Absolutely bogus!
I already paid 105 dollars for the stick (which wouldn’t have high quality, but that was not an issue for me), but then paying an extra 40 euros which wasn’t told me before is just ridiculous.
So now the stick is on the way back to the seller, “universalperfect” in this case. And I asked for a refund from the seller, so now Im really looking forward to the response of him.
Maybe the US folks won’t have these extra costs problems I had, all the better for you. But for us europeans these China sticks are appareantly just not worth it…
This is going down as a black day in my personal diary
I don’t see paying import/duty has anything to do with the seller, seller can’t tell you how much your country/courier is going to charge you on this stuff. This is something you should have been aware of before you made the purchase. I’m in Canada and I make sure anytime I buy from US it’s shipped with USPS, not UPS or Fedex as they charge ridiculous broker fees.
Yeah, a real valid point you have there… Like I have any control over what package service the seller uses… Most of these big sellers on ebay have a contract with a certain company so they get interesting discounts.
And you are free to think differently, but me as a normal consumer doesn’t feel the need to be worried about all extra fees. He is an experienced worldwide seller, he should know.
Yup, it’s your own fault and not the fault of the seller.
You should inform yourself before buying things. You get fees on everything that you import from outside of the European Union.
Interesting that you guys are all so informed about worldwide sending and extra fees… Makes me wonder what kind of things you are ordering from those outskirts
That happens to be the same stick located in this thread (which is also found in Google ads on the left side of the forums if you look at them sometimes):
http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=182036
It’s price range goes from $130 all the way up to $200. Nobody in NYC seems to know the maker or advertisers of this stick. It’s NOT Sanwa parts because in a video review on youtube (see mooglex.com), the users notice it’s different from the TE stick. They actually PREFER the non-sanwa parts in some cases (in other cases, they say it’s a toss-up between the two).
I totally agree with Networkingyuppy, though-- if it’s not made clear by the seller what the joystick is made of, you should probably steer clear.
