Okay, gonna start downloading now. I kinda wonder it’s gonna run, I can run HL2 and episode 1 and 2 on full settings with 1024 res, but TF2 ran like shit for me. I’m thinking this might suck too, considering there will be a shitload of zombies on screen at once, all looking damn detailed. Here’s for hoping I can run it on decent settings.

Dunno about you, but for me shooting zombies never gets old. Add to the fact that random hordes of them come out of nowhere through windows, doors, or alleys i can’t see how the game will get stale.
Plus consider the fact that in addition to the co-op, there is an actual vs mode so this game has a lot going for it.
Gonna DL the demo for the 360 and PC and then make my decision from there as to which version I should get.
PC…because I’m pretty sure any new content added via steam will be free…while console would have to most likely pay for it.
Word. I’m leaning that way too. The only issue is if I can play the game or not. I got me a new laptop this summer and so far, everything is looking good. i just don’t want to play a gimped version of the game, that’s all.
I d/led the demo and I have to say it’s pretty awesome.
My first time playing I ran into a witch… and my AI team mates kept saying “witch”. I promptly shot the bitch… and ended up dying.
I have to admit it does feel like a zombie game should.
E- As for people wondering if they can run the game… it runs about the same as CS:S and HL2 on my computer. If you are pleased with how your computer runs those, then you should be fine.
Holyshit this is one of the best demos of any game I’ve ever played. Already I can see a ton of depth in the MP and it’s s fast I love it.

Yeah I can run this fine on medium everything, when I turn it to high it’s sluggish as shit though, just like TF2 but not HL2 and episode 1 and 2. Not surprised though, this is the most detailed and graphically beautiful Source game yet. So we get 2 out of the 5 episodes in this demo, if there’s only 3 more episodes, then this game is short as fuck.
Only way to describe it would be to say it’s like you’re in the movie Dawn of the Dead. I really like all the shit zombies can do, it’s nuts.
Have you finished the demo on Expert with a good group?
The game isn’t shit unless you’re playing on expert with humans (the director takes into account that they’re not bots) . Ironically, it’s more the friendly fire that kills you more than the horde.
The demo is only 2/5 stages in No Mercy out of 4 campaign levels (each having 5 stages).
Still plenty to do and see (we don’t get any set pieces with this demo).
Awesome, I need to buy this shit and swap my 128MB video card with my bros 256MB one to run it on full. He doesn’t PC game anymore, so he doesn’t care, just needs to be able to hook up his Xbox to his video card so he can play Xbox on his PC monitor.
Friendly fire is a bitch on Expert. Nothing worse than being mobbed by zombies with a team mate wheeling around the corner only for you to blow them both away. 
The geniuses who can’t figure out it is a horrible idea to throw a Molotov in the same room everyone else is in are great too.
Also, Tiger Direct.com has some decent deals on GeForce 9800 GT’s, basically they are just re branded 8800GT models and they are not as fast as their ATI counter parts but they go as low as $99.99 after rebates if anyone is interested.

I already mentioned the ATI offering was faster and suggesting a 4870 or GTX would utterly defeat my purpose of suggesting a “cheap” video card, no? Cutting edge or not a 9800 GT will run most anything decently enough without breaking the bank.

Save your money and buy an 8800GT. 9800GT is NOTHING MORE than a re-branded 8800GT.
