Which I also mentioned my very first post on the topic. My point was that after the rebates these 9800’s were cheaper than even most 8800’s, at least that I have found on the sites I use, baring open box or recertified versions. Anyways, this is kind of unintentionally derailing the topic so I am going to knock it off.

l4d is pretty cool, but 4-player expert mode is a bitch because that only increases the % of human mistakes. I once went through the first level taking 0 damage while the the other guys had 100+…
As for vidcards… 8800GT is still awesome as a budget option, but in terms of now 4850 is the new bang-for-buck card.

Yeah that’s one big nuisance within this game. The more players in the harder modes = the more you’ll be shooting/killing your teammates. It really sucks.

Just for reference even though I answered your question (for others), to get into the SRK steam group you need to have one of the admins (chairhome and I believe fullmetalross on srk forums) invite you in.
forgenjuro: It’s funny alright, but not when they’re dragging you down. In fact this one night We rescued one of the guys, but he did not get a chance to upgrade weaponry so he wanted to go back. You could guess what happened when he and his friend (I didn’t go fuck that) tried lol.

Demo is gdlke I doubt it’ll be better then gow2 but if the MP lives up to expectations it could be one of the best games of all time.

Question: How are you all playing the game? I notice some teams I’ve played with are going for speed, only gunning things that get in their way. Others go hunting and unload on everything in site. Some are using their main guns, others are playing John Woos.

It really is hit or miss, depending on the team you end up being stuck with. Some are good and work together and some just split apart almost immediately, ended up with one team that couldn’t even finish normal. Just went off on their own each and every single time and ended up being mobbed or taken by a smoker or hunter with no one around to help them.
I personally try to kill as many zombies as possible, within reason. Fewer come from behind surprises and it seems to be handy if you have anyone who is lagging behind. I also tend to keep to my main weapon, only using the pistols for long distance or if I am mobbed and stopping to reload would just get me killed.
