Yeah, Air X-Factor is going to be absolutely stupid. Or, at least, it’s going to seem to be for the first couple of months and then become slightly less stupid. Maybe.
You act like it’s remotely difficult when all Storm will have to do is Hailstorm, X-Factor before it ends (or hell, as soon as it starts to come out), air dash straight down and then Hailstorm again. Pretty difficult to screw that up.
With Morrigan’s implicit possible nerfs, Iron Man’s dubious buffs, Chris still being unable to control the sky (and “losing” Hard Combination Punch) and Ryu looking like he’ll be better but even more of a meter whore, The Captain is definitely the character who got buffed the most who actually deserved it (even though he was already decent).
We’ll see how that ends up working out, though.
Would something like hailstorm, air xfactor air dash over to person and get a free mixup work? I’m thinking it would work like the ammy thc shenanigans.
Nova, Skrull, Cap, Viper, Strange, Dante, Vergil, Nemesis, Firebrand, Ghost Rider, Hawkeye, Doom, and Dorm are going to be all sorts of silly.
Skrull, Cap, Viper, Strange, and Firebrand will be slept on.
Phoenix (not wright), still going to be decent.
PW is going to get dominated, then 3 weeks later everyone will complain he is a wasted slot.
Hulk, Ryu, Chris, and Arthur move up in tier, but no one will ever know.
Strider is going to be terrible, see phoenix wright syndrome.
You might be able to get an unblockable with a low hitting assist, as long as they block hailstorm on the ground.
I can understand PW’s position of having some really bad matchups but Strider? He looks pretty good it’s just the health that bothers me but then again did Dante or Wolvy having below 1mil ever effect their gameplay that much?
MODOK is going to run the game if anyone bothers to learn how to play him.
Has nothing to do with his health, and everything to do with his insanely crappy damage, and the fact that everything is getting super/hyper armor now days. His teleport mix ups will get stuffed soooo hard, so easily.

Strider with XF Lv. 2 or Lv. 3 Ouroboros might be very broken. Phoenix Wright blue hands in the mode after landing OBJECTION! looks insane. Vergil, Ghost Rider, and Strange just seem very very solid characters.
Dante and Viper still gonna be very good. Zero was nerfed harshly, but the new buff might make up for it and more. Magneto I still think it’s good, his tools are there just not as effective anymore (also the new gravity moves look extremely cheap and I can see many 9-1 matchups with that move alone). Doom new j.:s: is going to be amazing, mashable supers for even more damage, he still has his high health, and j.:h: becoming more like the old MVC2 gun is good.

MODOK was already stealth top tier (solo unbrockabo, linking Limit Burst into itself, ridiculously long solo combos that come out at meter profit, 1.3m damage potential off a random throw) and is getting buffs.

Top underused tier: Deadpool (godlike keepaway), Strider (tu meni buttons), Wright (I will prove this or die trying, pun intended)

Character that should strike fear into anyone’s heart: Felicia (I guaran-damn-tee that a tournament bodier will be using Felicia – if you see someone using her in tournaments and winning – and you will – you should run for the hills)

Strider will be hella good once he has meter. Hulk is the only one getting 3 point armor and Strider with meter can tear down anything including armor. Zero didn’t really die to armor so I don’t see how Strider will either. You can always bait the armor and wait for a whiff and punish.

You can always bait the teleport and punish. I do it against Dante/Wesker all the time with Hulk. I just don’t see strider being nearly as amazing as say, Vergil.
Unless she has 10 durability Soul FIsts, and has her walk speed decupled, Morrigan is a bust.
I mean the last time I saw anyone with low health in this game…they usually ran the game unless they just couldn’t do anything except at close range like Chun Li. Strider looks like he’ll be able to do shit at all ranges and him stored up with Ouro will be a problem for any of the armored biggies.
