1.Tron and Haggar aren’t invincible anymore so they are DROPPED
2. Hsein-Ko will ALWAYS suck. It’s seriously the most flawed design in the game she is TOO SLOW with not nearly enough damage output to compensate.
I’m skeptical of just how much Haggar and Tron are actually going to lose from the minuscule number of touchable frames they seem to be gaining. I want the game in my hands to run tests before I say Tron is Dead Forever ™.
Haggar is only vulnerable for 2 frames then goes invincible. The other 58 to 60 frames you still can’t touch him. Still going to be within top 3 or 4 assists of the game.
Yeah Strider is pretty much set for S tier IMO because if he’s not he’ll end up being a worse Zero with less health. The only way for Strider to be competitive with less health than Zero is to basically be more stupid to fight than Zero. Anybody with super low health is basically made to make people throw their sticks. Can’t wait.
Vergil’s Rapid Slash having invincibility on point is going to be fun also.
i personally think he’s 1 gameplan wont have much depth so it may be strong at first but once the matchups get ironed out he’ll become much less effective
Probably actually A tier, I mean he’s still damn good.
I’m kind of thinking before Sent was announced, as I remember it. People LOVED them some rocks. One of my points of nerd pride was being the voice in the wilderness saying missiles were the real treasure
Oh you mean before the game came out. As soon as the game came out everyone was like “these rocks…they do NOTHING” LOL. Then went to missiles and beam. Rocks isn’t bad but it’s not MVC2 at all and you can’t get them out as fast as beam.
Doom will probably still get lamed out by a few characters but he’s got the tools to stomp on a lot of the cast and has a much scarier zone game now himself.
Looking forward to Nova, Iron Fist, and Vergil. Although I am willing to bet most scrubs probably heard “meter building hands” on Iron Fist and will find a slot for him on their team to help build meter for spamming supers, only to realise how much they suck with him and proceed to get bodied.
Nova: Wall bounces, OTG, efficient supers, projectile invulnerability, I can smell the charred remains of foolish scrubs
Vergil: As someone who hates Dante I now have a reason to kill him.
Phoenix Wright: Waiting for the chance to flatten the poor fans who actually believe him to be good.
Iron Fist: Deserves more credit than people give him. I personaly think his move set and “delta-hands” will make him a great choice, if not an interesting one.
Seriously, strange is awesome. And on top of what everyone said about strange being good, don’t you dare try to counter zone him. Any attempt will be met with counter beam. Also remember what they said early on about the read a book super? It’s guaranteed to come out even if he gets hit. It OTGs, it hits full screen upwards, it tracks your position, seems to do good damage.
He might lack high low but he doesn’t need it. You’re going to have to corner yourself to fight this dude and every button press is potentially getting countered into IMPACT PALM loops.
Also did anyone notice the range on his crouch C? Jesus, it looked better than zero’s cr.B.
Oh and the part where he threw a fireball, teleported behind the other guy, then impact palmed his own fireball and made it reflect upwards was godlike.
Even though it was very godlike there was already a yellow grace sitting there he just swung as the projectile got close. Shit confused me for a second also.
From what we’ve seen, Tron’s assist can be beaten outright be just about anything. Combine that with her numerous point nerfs and the fact that every system change (literally every single one) hurts her really badly, and we have a bottom-of-bottom tier character.
