Busted or Bust, lets bet on who/what ends up being broke

Show where Seth says it is so.

changelog doesn’t say anything bout it.

I’m actually going to give the avengers another shot. Will be Thor/Hawkeye/Cap as long as Thor turns out to be as good as I think he will with the minor tweaks he got. If not it will be Hulk/Cap/Hawkeye.

That is not a 100% change log o_O some of the stuff from older change logs (that has not been removed ) isn’t even on there. It was said on one of the streams and it is still on the Neogaf change Log also.

I think Cap is a shitty anchor because he has no real block strings without assists. Everything but c.L is negative 5 or more on block so you have to play really random with Cap as anchor. He has really nasty normals it’s just without assists you can’t get the most out of them outside of the aerial ones.

I like the 2nd team though and I would put Hawkeye as anchor on 1st team so you can lame and chip out plus probably better normals without assists than Cap. Thor needs all the assists he can get on point any way.

Start watching interviews and streams. It was either during NYCC, or one of the frontpaged character demo videos where he mentioned it.
Having played 2 different builds of the game I can confirm it, but Maximillian just posted a thread where you can ask him to demo changes; so if you’re still skeptical then post your question there.

thx i will do just that.

This is the best post in the thread.

Also, I just watched Captain American: The First Avenger. I kinda wanna learn Cap, now. Is it bad that I’m so impressionable?

This was when people were doing :l:>:m:>:h:>:s:>j.:m:>j.:m:>j.:h:>j.:s:>land>Rekkouha as their most advanced combo. I will never forget the Zero forums would get because of people always saying “Zero has very low damage, but his mix-up is where it’s at”.

I’m talking about how the swords start hitting you immediately after the teleport so you can’t react to it. And what the hell does super armor have to do with this?

Also, what’s wrong with 16 year olds? I’m 16 and I do alright at tourneys. I live in SoCal too, so my competition is definitely no joke.

Every time I read a Thor comic or watch the Thor movie I get a renewed resolve to somehow make Thor work on a competitive level. I then try out a dozen different assist combinations to round out X-23/Thor, go on an immense losing streak, then begrudgingly drop him until the next time. It’s a vicious cycle.

Dr. Doom. His buffs are crazy.

Man, I think for sure hes wrong, but I REALLY hope hes “Wright”. Having Missle OTG would be like fusing Katana-Rama and Quick Work.

Hate you forever for that pun.

Also, I’d bet money that missile doesn’t OTG.

I played Viper today for fun, and remembered why she is all sorts of silly. And I’m no where near as good as people who actually play her.

s.:l: into death on Thor. All by herself. :expressionless:

Don’t kill my dream!!! =[

this is what I’m worried about as well. most of the top tier use a lot of meter and build it equally well, but with Strange I’m inclined to think that he’s leaning towards the former a bit more due to the stuff that you mentioned. since I’m gonna be running Strange/Vergil, Vishanti DHC into Devil Trigger or Spiral Swords will probably be one of the safest ways to get Strange out. without meter however, his options for moving OUT instead of going in are, oddly enough for a character who has the tools of a zoner, minimal at best. he may have like Arthur syndrome where he’s supposed to be beast at zoning but once the opponent gets in, you’re screwed.

The guy who accurately leaked the Vergil and Phoenix Wright moveset has strongly implied that Rocket Raccoon is going to play very differently from what anybody expects. He said that Rocket Raccoon is a disappointment (to him) and that he has a log move that wall bounces, which is supposed to be quite good an assist.

The thing about Strange is that you don’t want him to zone you because if he is zoning you, you’re most likely going to be hit by a combo very soon. His zone sets up his mix up like Phoenix. Once he gets a tracking fireball on the screen, you have to guess block the right way within a split second when he ports or you will get comboed. The only reason people don’t realize how stupid Strange is going to be offensively once he zones you out is because nobody on video is even applying basic stuff like that yet. The best way to beat Strange will basically be to just rush in and try and tag him with something because once he zones you out, you’re probably going to get hit. Not just zoned like Arthur or Chris. You will most likely take full combos for being put in a zone. People are going to be chicken blocking for their lives trying to not get hit by Strange when he gets a zone going.

Like Phoenix, hitting him during discs or agomotto will remove the tracking projectiles and allow you to get in. Though Strange covering those moves with strong assists and zoning with mystic sword should mitigate such issues.** Most likely UNLIKE Phoenix…you won’t be able to run to the corner to avoid a cross up. If he gets you to the corner with his zone and ports…you are still going to get opened up and hit. Tracking projectile + port will get you anytime anywhere.**

He’ll evolve similar to Modok in that people day one will think “oh he’s just a zoner that can stop zone with his supers”. Then people will realize he’s more like a mix of some of the best aspects of Magneto and Dante put together with lesser normals.

You are right in that his tools without assists are limited as far as immediately pushing the opponent far enough away to get projectiles on the screen. If you have even one meter spell of vishanti is pretty much your free move to get the space you need to get people off of you. Outside of that mystic sword is going to be your main spacing tool to give you space for the other deadlier tracking projectiles. Not to mention he also has a command normal that’s a counter that counters everything but lows and might even counter projectiles.

**Soon enough everyone will find out that if you’re being zoned by Strange…you’re also basically going to get hit by Strange. **Online randoms are going to hate people that know what they’re doing with Strange because unlike Arthur or Chris where they can just keep blocking for a while and random port or super jump, if they end up getting lamed out by Strange the next thing they know they will end up getting Phoenixed and put in a combo also.

It’s kind of understandable that people don’t realize this because the only characters that really set up their offense through zone in Vanilla is characters like Dante, Dorm and Phoenix. Characters that put shit on the screen and then port so you can’t air throw punish. That mix up hasn’t really been augmented on video yet by any character but Phoenix since it’s completely braindead with Phoenix. When Ultimate comes out you’ll see this technology a lot more often out of Strange and other port characters.

It’s the whole idea of getting comboed for giving a character space that people will love to hate. Strange is the 850k health Phoenix that everyone wanted with a bit more emphasis on Dorm style zone to set up offense. Except the tracking projectile + port mix ups happen even faster so they had to remove air dash from him to compensate. I’m so itching to get my hands on Strange and put cheap shit together…I’m so salty its still a month.

Predicted top tiers:
Zero/Cap/Trish/Viper/Dante/Doom/Vergil

Predicted high tier: most of the new chars except IF and Nemesis, Wesker,Phoenix,Spencer,Taskington, Mags, Storm, X-23, Dormammu, Morrigan

Guess you haven’t seen this.
