for real, i fuckin hate dark phoenix. how do you guys deal with super jump H fireball spam?

Be patient and back her into the corner, your best thing against Dark phoenix is to try and bait out the teleport and punish.

what do you back her into the corner with exactly? if she’s spamming super jump specifically? and when you say, bait out the teleport and punish, do you mean that the teleport itself has recovery? because that doesn’t seem to be the case. are you saying that i should predict the teleport and throw out like, cr. B or S?

I was just about to ask about changing the OP. I have a team w/ Trish/Wesker/Sent and I’m thinking of switching Task in for Sent but I have way more exp playing Sent so I wanna do more research before throwing in the towel.

Phoenix teleport has 18 frames of recovery I believe - it’s quite punishable

Vs spencer -against his jump up horizontal grapple across you can qcf ball super DHC OR xf dash st ms combo. Or if hes being rly predictive with it jump up and hard drive before he grapples across (cant jump up and hard drive if its out since the zip line is has an active hitbox the whole time). Other than that throw punish his overhead (its -2 on block), jump up and air throw his grapple across before he has time to get a normal out (strict timing) or dash underneath and st ms as he comes down (but they usually call assist as they grapple across so risky). And to punish his ground command throw jump back h xx l rocket punch (note spencer also has a ground to air command throw but it doesnt have much range)

what are u having trouble with vs deadpool?

Keepaway deadpool with Doom hidden missile assist.

Try to react to an assist call with HSF, that’ll fry Doom for sure. X-Factor it and spit on him for massive damage.

As for Deadpool, and a lot of Sent matchups, you just have to be patient. Missile make it even harder since I you can’t fly around so getting rid of Doom is top priority. Once he’s dead, try to find a time to fly across to avoid any grenades on the ground and ground gunshots. If he hasn’t taken the initiative on zoning yet, you can start throwing mouth lasers before he shoots and it should beat the gunshots. If you’re close enough, rocket punch super.

But if the Deadpool is smart he probably won’t let you in easy, and could spend one of his teleports on a cross up with missiles or something else sneaky that would make you want to stay off the ground. If it gets this bad, it might be best to just tag out Sentinel for someone better suited for the matchup.

i dont have too much experience against the hidden missile assist, but deadpool can’t block after doing any specials in the air, so if you fly under him, you can pretty much get a free hit on him. he can cancel into his air hyper but you should under him by now or just unfly/hard drive to safety.

just dont stay on the same plane as him and have that unfly trigger on reaction.

Im curious, how exactly do you guys deal with wolverine and wesker? Mainly wesker but I figure why not ask about wolverine as well. I have no idea what to do once my friends wesker hits the playing field, the jump gun is such a pain in the ass.

make them feel they can teleport safely and punish(this is very different if they are in XF). against the spamming jump gun wavedash and force a ground mix up(which side will you be attacking, only characters in flight change direction while in the air if you cross under/over them), wesker is helpless after the shot unless he teleports. MAKE SURE YOU MIX IN THROWS! weskers counter super is scary stuff.

mad late reply lol. wavedash and block. then SJ straight up and use either frying pan or air M to plow through the fireballs. spacing is important with this because you want only the pan/leg to be near phoenix. if you connect with air M canel into HardDrive and try to follow it up on landing.
