i just saw a-rival using a pretty nice spencer, the informative thing though is that spencers air grapple for movement is much like ammys airdash. he was using it to D/F and then block whilecalling out haggar assist. that was the setup for air forward grapple… ammy can probably be used in a similar fashion with assists. so it was very textbook and informative on how i/we can use her airdash movement. especially if she can block during it.

Theres going to be so much depth in stance cancelling.

Right now as I see it:

reflector - rushdown - highest combo opportunity
glaive - zoning, runaway
rosary - keepaway, chipp + assist

Too bad I still have to get them down 100%

I might as well post this, might be known/usless/ect. but it you launch, MMHHH cancel slow then mash toward+H you can get a grab in instantly after the super freeze (theres like a 10% chance the spacing is screwed up). Then if you land the throw you can jump MMHHH land jump MMHHH shuffle. All of this in disk of course.
Also probably known FOREVER ago, but just in case no one knows for some reason, you can combo the bead ice shot thingymabobs into the shuffle

I’m not sure if this is know information or not but while in disk stance against a crouch 50sent and during the magic series abc -> c, after the 7th or 8th hit, you can use power slash L and follow up with forward m to continue the c mash. This works on several other larger hit boxed characters but whiffs on the smaller ones.

^it works on a lot of people. You can do it like twice then continue the combo. I’m not sure if the dmg is worth dropping the combo, cuz I don’t know the damage.

In a nutshell Glaive has mixup out the ass and crazy range. Its the best of the other two stances. Im working on some blockstrings that integrate stance switching tho. Lots of shit I have to put together.

I had to literally pull myself away from the game since I only have about 6 or 7 hours total. I’m hopping right back in it tomorrow.

I don’t think you really want her as the last character. I’m currently using Ammy/Akuma/Sent, and when A/A get low, I swap over to Sentinel in order to “tank” and let them heal.

I would be really interested in seeing the glaive mixups and block strings. Right now I get how to punish with ammy and a bit of the keep away but I do not really get the rushdown. If anyone knows of a vid with some good rushdown or glaive ammy I d like to see it.

The rushdown’s relatively simple. Ammy has both the airdash, ground dash charge, and the cancellable flower pull. You want to be using her disc, and get her magic series going (LMHHHH) into launcher then probably set up an aerial team combo to build meter. The reason I don’t like her as a later character is that her supers aren’t really all that good at dishing out raw damage directly.

Well, I got some matches in today. Ammy action begins on the second match. I was able to take down three characters with her on the last match. It felt…SO hype.

Against Sentinel, she basically has to run in with assists. She will eat up that S(launcher) if she air dashes, so just be sure to approach steadily by cancelling out her dash (pressing down). Also, her small hit box makes the standing laser go above her even as she runs, and the launcher tends to wiff more often than not. I believe she has excellent corner pressure…plan on perfecting it.

There were a lot of better matches, but this was all we could record.

Alright guys. I don’t play this character. I’m coming here for help. I just came back from a session where a guy just destroyed me with amaterasu. The ice assist was just rocking me but I think that’s just my lack of blocking skills in marvel games. When ama was out on point though I was having a really hard time getting in on him. I tried laming it out right back but she is so small that I couldn’t hit her as much as she was hitting me with the ice beams.

Any advice? This dog is making me look mad free.

Mainly magnus and doom. My third character I’m still searching for. I had slight success adding Dante. I don’t really know anything about Dante but I knew he had a teleport and I was looking for a way to get in on the fly. It worked for a match or so but became predictable and found myself in the same place as before.

My Mag was having a very hard time getting in. Seemed impossible. I’d try to lame it out back with Doom but I couldn’t land projectiles on him because he’s so small.

yea I slid her over to the second spot and it’s been working out very well, my current team I like to use is X23/Ammy/Dante. Other than getting like OHKO’d by lv3 xf sents I think I’ve been doing well with this format. I’d like to spice my Ammy up with some intermediate combos soon

well, keepaway with ammy just got easier. i found a new easy ass wavedash thats quicker than the old one. and using this method ammys backwavedash is godlike.

L~M, repeat. its just canceling the dash into a standing jab and then kara canceling the jab into a dash, very simple and it seems as if capcom wanted it like this since i dont remember it being in mvc2.

works for any character with an atk cancelable dash i assume.
