Brook 360 > PS4 updated using 1.6 firmware on site. Works perfectly with 360 official controller, no issues at all.

When using my Hori Fighting Edge 360 with it, it works fine. No timeouts, but will intermittently go to the PS4’s Share screen. There’s no correlation with 10 minute timeouts; it just occurs on random button inputs. Sometimes straight away, sometimes after a while in Training Mode. The Brook and controls are still working after this occurs and I don’t need to the remove the adapter to get it working again. The adapter has blue light constantly.

Sounds like it could be the stick, but don’t see how it would go to the Share screen if there is no input on the stick that does that.

Any suggestions?

Share+Options (select+start) actually function as the share button now.
Share/select by itself is the touchpad button emulator. Do you have physical share&options button on a fighting edge?

I have the white PS3 to PS4 adapter and want to update the firmware, but the instructions say you must install a USB driver first, which I can’t find on the site.

Can I update the firmware without installing the driver? Where can I download the driver?

It’s Important to exit updating on PS4 Converters.

When updated successful on App, enter combo key to exit updating mode>>>
> step1: press two keys
> step2: press down Left or L3 don’t release
> step3: press down Home/PS key
> step4: release all keys

(8) Your converter turns from [ Purple to Blue ] in exiting mode >> Remove converter from USB port.
>> Converter will change ( HID Transfer Device ) to ( PS4 wired gamepad ) in the Device and printer Area.

Refer to this video file (for white converter), but all PS4 converter used the same updating process only different combo keys on your controller / fightstick.

Note: Use Left key to replace L3 button on controller / fightstick

Tried to update my XBONE->PS4 converter yesterday, but got stuck after updating ZPPN003-A. When I run ZPPN003-B, it doesn’t recognize my converter. My PC does recognize it as a PS4 controller. Am I using the right .exe? How can I fix this so I can finish the update. Thanks!

You are using the right firmware, just follow the video for instruction

Hello everyone.

You don’t need driver for A firmware update.
So just run the .exe file for it

Okay, the frustration is real.

I am doing this:

Plugging in Xbox360/1 to PS4 converter to PC with a 360 wired controller (color is solid)
Running ZPPN002-A_V18_20160408
Running the update (color is now flashing blue)
Doing the key code until it says update again
Unplugging USB after the color is no longer blinking!
plugging USB into PS4
Converter lights up, neither my fighting edge or my wired controller will light up with the adapter, press every button on the controllers, nothing happens.

This is so aggravating. What can I do? Please help. I’m not sure how to resolve this myself. My Fighting Edge is collecting dust and I am collecting frustration.
Is there a step I am missing?

If it says “USB Hid transfer device” in devices and printers, then yes, you are putting it in update mode again instead of releasing it. This was the EXACT Same problem I had originally. I had it stuck in a loop because I didn’t know the correct combo keys order.

To be honest, I don’t remember EXACTLY how I got out of the loop.
I may have tried running the “B” (no controller) firmware again but at this point, I don’t remember. But I do know that as soon as I read an old post by Zippy, on the exact button sequence, I got it to work in the next few minutes, very quickly.

I do know how I got it in that loop, though.
Originally I didn’t know or understand the video or the “combo keys” sequence. I only knew WHAT the keys were, after I found out what Home and L3 were. So I only knew that Home+Start turned the adapter red. So basically when I did get it to flash by entering update mode, instead of releasing it, I somehow entered update mode again, because I didn’t understand the sequence. I was pressing all three buttons at the same time, or pressing Joystick+home and then home+start or something.

Basically, when you click “update” and it starts flashing, when the words “please exit update mode” appears, you press these:

1. Home+Start together, release.
2. L3 or Joystick Left+Home together, release.

That’s it. presto.

if you keep seeing update button rather than exiting updating mode:
and when running firmware and it’s about to press combo keys,

1. Press Xbox button+ Start at the same time
2. Press L3/Left, hold it, and press Xbox button
3. Release L3/Left and Xbox button at the same time

I’ve plugged in my PS3 to PS4 converter today to try updating it again with the new firmware and PC isnt even recognising it anymore

In device manager it just says “unknown device”.

1. Retry?
2. What is the color of the light when plugging into PC and console?

Tried all different USB ports on PC and even tried it on laptop with no luck. LED isnt lighting up on PC or laptop.

There is no light and when i go to device properties it says unknown device and when I try to install drivers it says “THe folder you specified doesn’t contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems.”

Yes both PC and laptop are x64.

Should I get an exchange?

thank you so much! uninstalling the HID transfer driver then unplugging and plugging the converter back in did the trick.

My friend bought one xbox one to ps4. 3 days lateral the update from sony came and now he tried to update and His converter dont even work anymore.

Hi, I have the same fight-stick and the same brooks converter. I found the converter does not support that fight-stick straight out the box and you need to update to the latest firmware.

I have a stick with the PS3PS4 fighting board and I have a PC.

When I follow the instruction and plug in my stick, windows tries to find an update and ends up installing it as a xbox 360 controller cause I previously had the software. I uninstalled it but my PC won’t recognize the stick.

What do I do?
