Brook Converters Thread

Any idea how to fully reset the 360/1 -> ps4 converter? I am getting restless with this thing.

re asking …

So I have my 360 to ps4 converter arriving today.using For my 360 te stick. Downloaded the instructions on updating and watched the video so I’m good to go but as a first time user they are pretty confusing. Sure I am the problem.

When updating do I plug the te into the converter or the ps4 controller ? By reading the manual I think its the stick but it says ā€œneed
L3 or left buttonā€ Stick doesn’t have l3 but what is left button ? Is that just direction left on joystick ?

I know you were able to trade L3 for pressing left on a controller. Worked on my fighting edge with 360/x1 -> ps4 converter. Not sure if it’s a different axis because of a controller vs a fight stick, never tried it.

Is your converter working at all? Mine is not, haven’t had it working since the patch.

@Brook_Engineer

Tried all different USB ports on PC and even tried it on laptop with no luck. LED isnt lighting up on PC or laptop.

There is no light and when i go to device properties it says unknown device and when I try to install drivers it says ā€œTHe folder you specified doesn’t contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the folder contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems.ā€

Yes both PC and laptop are x64.

Should I get an exchange?

Is it only the pink adapter that’s causing problems for people?
Or is it the pink and lime (very bright green) adapter?

So far from what I can tell, the white adapters are working fine (PS3 to PS4).
And the dark green adapters are also working fine (Xbox 360+Xbox One, to PS4).

>> [ Only updated A patch file ] without installing USB Driver and updating B patch file

If instead USB Driver on any Device, please remove it.

(1) select correct file to update

(2)Plug your converter with your controller or fightstick in USB port.

(3)Unzip and run app in administration mode

(4)follow combo keys (three steps) to enter updating mode.
>> Please waiting a few time. converter will change to enter updating mode

(5)Updated icon will enabled then click to update.

(6)Updated Successful

(7) [ Don’t forget to enter combo keys (three steps) again ] to exit updating mode. and Please release all combo keys
> 7.1 step: press two keys
> 7.2 step: press down Left or L3 don’t release
> 7.3 step: press down Home/PS key
> 7.4 step: release all keys

Note: Use [ Left key of D-PAD ] to replace ( L3 ) button on controller / fightstick

(8) Your converter turns from [ Purple to Blue ] in exiting mode >> Remove converter from USB port.

Refer to this video file (for white converter), but all PS4 converter used the same updating process only different combo keys on your controller / fightstick.

Please jump to 02:00 to 04:00 for updating A patch file.

I know it isn’t working at all for me. The pink one.

I bought two PS2 to PS4 converters.
Previously, I used two converters at the same time on SFV.

But they does not work at the same time after the update on April 8. (When used individually it was operating properly.)

I suspect there is a problem with Brook firmware. Are Brook planning a new firmware update?

**X360 to PS4 ** (Lime)
Share button doesn’t work in the new TE firmware after 3.5 PS4 update. Is that intentional? I haven’t seen it in any patch notes on the PDF included. And don’t want to use the standard firmware. I needs to upload #SFVRAGEQUITS on the fly

Will try this tonight and report with findings. Thanks for replying!

Hey all, just a quick update when over to a friends, and plugged in his ps4, converter lit up, everything responded and didn’t time out! So I i guess I did it correctly!

@CeLeBoRn
Please logo ( one player )on every converters.

We compared it between Ours, Madcatz and Hori Fight stick/Flight pad… The results are the same.
PS4 System change some things on 3.50

@StrtFghtrMstr
We added a new function to simulate touchpad on this version.
So you pressed two buttons to output share keys.

Thanks!

Thanks guys!

360/Xbox One to PS4 converter, updated using the Xbox Elite Controller and everything is working perfectly including the touch pad emulation.

My update method as follows :-

Plug the converter only into the PC, install the Zero Plus Driver, then plug the Elite Controller into the converter and update the A file only.

Thanks to the Brook team for there excellent customer support and I hope everyone else having problems get things working properly

Brook 360 > PS4 updated using 1.6 firmware on site. Works perfectly with 360 official controller, no issues at all.

When using my Hori Fighting Edge 360 with it, it works fine. No timeouts, but will intermittently go to the PS4’s Share screen. There’s no correlation with 10 minute timeouts; it just occurs on random button inputs. Sometimes straight away, sometimes after a while in Training Mode. The Brook and controls are still working after this occurs and I don’t need to the remove the adapter to get it working again. The adapter has blue light constantly.

Sounds like it could be the stick, but don’t see how it would go to the Share screen if there is no input on the stick that does that.

Any suggestions?

Hi all,

I have the white PS3 to PS4 adapter and want to update the firmware, but the instructions say you must install a USB driver first, which I can’t find on the site.

Can I update the firmware without installing the driver? Where can I download the driver?

Thanks!
