Brook Converters Thread

press 3P and connect it to your PC

Okay, the frustration is real.

I am doing this:

Plugging in Xbox360/1 to PS4 converter to PC with a 360 wired controller (color is solid)
Running ZPPN002-A_V18_20160408
Running the update (color is now flashing blue)
Doing the key code until it says update again
Unplugging USB after the color is no longer blinking!
plugging USB into PS4
Converter lights up, neither my fighting edge or my wired controller will light up with the adapter, press every button on the controllers, nothing happens.

This is so aggravating. What can I do? Please help. I’m not sure how to resolve this myself. My Fighting Edge is collecting dust and I am collecting frustration.
Is there a step I am missing?

Yes I do make sure I have the controller connected… I followed the youtube video created by Tim Haung, note I have no problem updating my (white) PS3 to PS4 converter so I am familiar with the update process.

BTW I am also able to switch the adapter into update mode with the controller connected, the software just doesn’t detect the adapter.

I Will try @Falkentyne. Thx for help by the way.
I will test your tips and advice this evening.
But I’ve another prob : the B phase doesn’t start . Even if the brook is plug as ps4 Wired Gamepad, it says : plug the converter. :(.

Any suggest (again, I know)
Or mister @Brook_Engineer ?

(Stille purple…grrr).
Donc We necessary have an official xbox controller or a fightpad / stick can do the combo ?

Also waiting on a reply. @Brook_Engineer or @GOGO.Zippy

Converter was doing fine during the install, until the final step.
When running ZPPN002-B, the program doesn’t recognize the converter, but my PC does.
Anyway to trigger that the .exe file can recognize it so I can finish the update?

Thanks again!

Sorry for any inconvenience.
We are trying to figure it out.

can you shoot a video? i don’t quite understand

Purple LED and HID Transfer means the converter is in update mode.
Open up firmware A and follow the illustration to press combo keys to exit update mode, and it should turn to blue

@Brook_Engineer Can I get an assist?

Just downloaded the file, but the folder only has 2 files.
PDF and ZPPN003-A

Missing: drivers and ZPPN003-B

I had my brook for 2 days.
As soon as I got it I tried to update it.
Then problem was I tough that was a straighfoward process and easy like everything.
But I updated tried and dont worked anymore.
Sent it back…
Brook is a nice thing. But what I see is a lot of problems updating.
This is to hard or complicated.
They need some easy updating process. This makes this product useless

Thx for you help. Trully.
I’ll test it wednesday, i’m quite busy until now.

I’ll tell u the result or eventual issue - with a video  - as soon as possible.

Thx @Brook_Engineer.

Last question for the moment : if i buy a brook converter now, should i do the update since the beginning ?

ok I just got my X360/Xb1->PS4 green super convertor it as working great before 3.50 sony update ( shipped from arcadeshocks latest batch in early march)
I dled the firmware on the website and it came with the only the A file as stated above, it had no other files ( b or anything ) except an outdated pdf from jan14th.
I plugged everything in, and did the update process, ( lights flashed , combo keys worked, pad seems ok,showed up as a ps4 wired pad in the devices etc ) I should be good to go right? I have no ps4 to test til a llittle bit later on. I just want a quick confirm it should be ok?

No problem, if there’s anything I can do to help, please let me know. Thanks

It does not work
I would like to use select inqsteit for training mode in sfv,

…select (or another button) instead of touch pad (i idid not wire ot) for training mode in sfv ( back to beginning fontion).

Not sure, mine did as well, now it does not and I can’t get a response from these guys regarding it.

One way to test is on your PC. Do you have a game that only accepts X-input? If your stick doesn’t work for that specific game but works in Windows properties/D-Input game then you shoild be ok. And LED should not be purple.
