Hi,

I’ve updated my green with ZPPN002-A_V18_20160408

I’ve ran through the steps and made it to “Firmware Update - Update successfull please release the update mode”

Problem is, that it’s flashing purple but I can’t get it to turn blue. I can get it to turn red through holding home and start on my xbox one controller. But can’t get it to turn blue by following the same instructions I did last time.

Anyone got any idea what’s going on?

I have the Xbox one to ps4 convertor, the pink one, but I do not have a control just my Xbox one stick is there a way I can still update my convertor without the controller ?

Okay, Issue with Brook 360/XB1 -> PS4

  • Plug Device in
  • Go to install firmware
  • Do correct command
  • Update new firmware
  • Firmware update is finished
  • Brook Converter is flashing blue (maybe white?)
  • Program prompts me to take it out of config mode
  • No idea what buttons to press, try everything
  • Have no idea of proper indication of proper config mode
  • Remove converter, plug it in with fight stick in ps4
  • Converter is solid color blue with a little red in it maybe? (My last attempt was using the “tournament pro firmware”
  • Controller unresponsive

Please help, 3 days with this new device and I’ve spent hours trying to get it to function optimally.

Another computer and still can’t update it.

Edit: Now plugging in a stick into the yellow converter default me to player 3. If i try the xbox360/xbone to ps4 converter, player led is 1

Edit2: seems i can set my own player led after I press the combo key and press home again. Can’t do it with the green converter. Seems like this Brook converter is toast.

Update successfull please release the update mode…>>>Please follow combo.keys to exit updated mode.
It will turn on led from purple to blue.

If app shows updated mode, please ignore iy and remove it.

You can your stick to do updating process.
Follow the same name’s key on stick to enter and exit updating mode.
Note: U can use (Left key) to replace (L3) button.

@GOGO.Zippy Had an issue with updating firmware at a tournament today. The instructions to update the firmware asked us to download the drivers for the converter, but for some reason, we couldn’t find them on the site.

I believe you don’t need the driver anymore.
the driver was a “zeroplus” 32bit or 64bit driver. I don’t believe it’s needed anymore.
Now it’s just called a “USB input device”

Ok guys here is what is supposed to happen. I just reflashed the WHITE (PS3 to PS4) device just now, into a new USB port (I uninstalled the motherboard USB hid drivers and hub drivers on purpose, through device manager, and restarted the computer (since this killed the mouse and keyboard).

here is what is supposed to happen.
This is assuming you are using a fightstick and not a controller, as I don’t have a Dual shock/PS4 controller. I’m using the Qanba Q4 in PS3 mode.

  1. Run the flash utility (PS3 to PS4 tournament edition “A” file for the White adapter, for me).
  2. Flasher says enter combo keys.
  3. In this exact order, a) press and hold Home, Press Start, release Start and Home. Adapter turns Red (this is also option mode for the adapter in normal mode, if you want to use turbo/remapping). If you press Home+Start again, it will exit option mode.
    b) Adapter is red-> In THIS EXACT ORDER, Press and hold Joystick Left, press Home, press and release Joystick Left and home.
    Now, adapter will turn purple, windows will DISCONNECT AND RECONNECT the device to install the “USB Hid Transfer” device and say “USB input device installed successfully” (In previous flasher version it was ZEROPLUS device, if you installed the zeroplus driver). Note; WINDOWS MAY ASK YOU TO REBOOT. IGNORE IT. I believe this may cause problems if you reboot now. The flash utility will now complain and say “Please reconnect the controller” even though it’s already connected. Just wait about 5-10 seconds. It will change to “ready to update”, and the update button will now appear. Press it.
    c) If you already updated in this port previously, windows will not ask you to reboot again, as the “USB input driver” will already be installed, and the flasher will switch to “Ready to update” faster than before, but it will still ask you to reconnect a controller, for a few seconds, which you can ignore.
  4. The update will flash, then the device will be flashing purple and the flasher will say "flash successful, please release the update mode.
  5. Press and hold home, press start, release Start and Home, then Press and hold Joystick Left, press Home, then release Joystick Left and Home. Close the flash utility.

You should now be able to use the controller on the PC right away.

If this does NOT WORK FOR YOU GUYS, then there is a problem somewhere.
I have tested this multiple times.

So im stuck in purple mode and cant do anything and everytime i hit update it runs then says update fail on my pink convertor

you’re using the wrong firmware !
The previous version of the pink adapter firmware (XBone to PS4) actually had the xbox 360 zip attached to it, but this should have been fixed.
Are you getting “update fail” messages with the pink adapter firmware?
If so, contact Brook.

Think you don’t need the driver any more, just update w/the TE/Option file.

Edit: I went ahead and updated. Everything appears to be running smoothly with no 8 min timeouts.

Has anyone had any luck with the Xboxone to ps4 converter yet? Did everything falken said with no luck. The unit i just stays blue.

May I ask a question?
Go to “Devices and drivers” (Start menu).
Press Home+Start together, (or press+hold home first, then start, then release both)=red LED.
Now press and hold Left Joystick and press Home.

what happens in devices and printers?

on my computer, I hear the “USB Disconnect” sound, and PS4 wired device disappears and “USB Hid Transfer” appears.
USB converter is purple.

this happens without the flasher EXE running.

Note: the joystick is not responsive when this happens. You must run the flasher at this point. No joystick inputs will work.
Running the flasher.exe instantly says “ready to update firmware”

Then you update, release with the combination again and you’re good to go.

@GOGO.Zippy @Brook_Engineer Do you know if this has been repaired? I’very already installed the 20160408 and it has eliminated the 8 min timeout just unsure of the “bug” is doing.

So I updated my xbox360>ps4 (green converter)
I made the mistake of trying the xbox360/one>ps4 first like the dude before but zippy corrected us-download the right xbox360>ps4.
Then also updated my PS3>ps4 with no issues.

These converters are great but having to update every time there is a system update will be come long. Why does it keep happening? Are Sony actively targeting these devices? I’d like to know …

Also the update notes say that they improve reaction time, does this mean input lag has been reduced? Has brook tested this?

I’m considering getting the red P4/P3 > XB1 converter. Im hoping to use it to use a PS3 logitech GT wheel, and a SF4 wireless madcatz fightpad.

I’ve not seen any comments on this, but is it compatible with the wireless madcatz dongle for the sf4 fightpad? will it work with killer instinct?
