I explained some steps for fixing timeout on 3.50 system.
>> [ Only updated A patch file ] without installing USB Driver and updating B patch file
(1)Please go Brook website to select correct file and download
(2)Plug your converter with your controller or fightstick in USB port.
>> in the Device and printer Area, you found a device as PS4 wired gamepad.
(3)Unzip app and run app in administration mode
(4)follow combo keys (three steps) to enter updating mode.
>> Please waiting a few time. converter will change ( PS4 wired gamepad ) to ( HID Transfer Device ) in the Device and printer Area.
(5)Updated icon will enabled then click to update.
(6)Updated Successful
(7) [ Donāt forget to enter combo keys (three steps) again ] to exit updating mode.
(8) Your converter turns from [ Purple to Blue ] in exiting mode >> Remove converter from USB port.
>> Converter will change ( HID Transfer Device ) to ( PS4 wired gamepad ) in the Device and printer Area.
Refer to this video file (for white converter), but all PS4 converter used the same updating process only different combo keys on your controller / fightstick.
Note: Use Left key to replace L3 button on controller / fightstick
Please jump to 02:00 to 04:00 for updating A patch file.
I was able to update my Xbox360/Xbone to PS4 successfully. But my PS3toPS4 PS4toPS3(yellow) is having difficulty going to update mode. After pushing the first combo key(home+start), the converter turns red. The next key(L3) and then L3+home doesnāt work. It goes back to blue again.
Mine updates successfully but it still shows solid purple instead of blue after turning off flashing purple update mode. I tested it out & seems ok - lasted 30 mins no desyncing, but I canāt tell if this is right or it should be showing blue instead. If it was stuck in update mode would I be able to use the converter at all?
If itās purple and youāre playing on it without problems, it means that you flashed the Tournament Edition firmware.
TE firmware is purple (magneta); turbo and button remapping is disabled. Normal firmware is blue.
Ah ok, whereās the regular version then? I didnāt see TE mentioned when I grabbed the copy from their official firmware D/L page - I grabbed the first one and didnt d/l the optional item. Thankfully Iād rather have TE edition anyways.
Same thing, never going to purple light just goes back to blue. Should the Player Led be blinking? Itās not solid 1. Using both Qanba4 and Dualshock 3. The PC can read my inputs for the stick and the ds3. Iām going to try update it on another computer and see if that works.
Even with the right button sequence it turns first to red (which is correct) but then with left + home it never turns purple, it immediatelly turns blue again.
So you had this exact issue but managed to fix this? Because I am a little lost here to be honest.
Also I donāt have anything like USB flash or updater device in my devices and printers section, just my regular stuff and āPS4 wired gamepadā. It is called that since I removed the driver just now as explained in GO.GO.Zippyās post earlier.
I am using an arcade stick for this, so my guess is it doesnāt register the joystick input or am I wrong here?
Do I need the usbdriver file to update my converter? The .pdf file tells me that I need it and it is not included in the download for the new firmware on the website.
Thank you for the confirmation, it was very confusing when consulting the .pdf and having it still include a full section about a file that I didnāt have.
