@Ojousama
Run the app again.
Press combo.keys to exit updated mode. It will turn from purple to blue.
You can remove it at this time, donāt update again.
No no, my issue is, the converter flashes purple but now my controller isnāt able to redo the process to finish the update. I was able to get to update mode which is whatās strange about this whole thing: my inputs used to work to access (LED went from blue, to red, to purple) update mode but now they donāt.
I have the lime xbox360 to ps4 adapter with the latest driver but I can not get into update mode. Everytime I put in the button combination the adapter goes from blue to red and to blue again without showing the update button on screen. Can anyone help with this? Thanks in advance.
Can anyone confirm if these Brooke converters specifically work with an Arcade in a Box fight stick? I have one wired for 360 and want to play SF5 on PS4.
Anyone know for sure if the lime green or regular green super converter will work for this
It will depend on what board they used. If it was just an official 360 board padhacked in then it should probably work just fine. Brook has a brief, if potentially incomplete, compatibility list on their site for each adapter.
You may have to install the USB 64 bit zeroplus driver for the flash utility. Although this doesnāt seem to be included in the 3.50 file zip anymore. I installed it on the 3.15 version. I think Zippy said you can flash without it.
Just so you know, if the adapter is in update mode and doesnāt show it on screen, unplugging and replugging in the adapter (as Zippy said) will tell the flasher to update, even though youāre not supposed to unplug and replug before flashing, at least it can pick it up.
Whatās happening in your case is that it is never getting into update mode at all.
Update mode is purple. So you are simply entering "Option modeā and exiting.
Option mode is start+home (red LED).
Update mode is a combination of option mode+flash mode.
Option mode=Home+start. (option mode is also how you configure things like remapping and turbo= RED LED
Flash mode= L3+Home (ONLY WHILE IN OPTION MODE!).=purple LED
If the stock firmware on the converter is 11/2015 or newer, you can use left joystick direction on fightsticks(= dpad on regular pads) in place of L3.
I think if the instructions mentioned this, instead of ācombo keysā (this REALLY confused me!), people wouldnāt have so many problems.
So to flash, you run the flasher, enter option mode, then enter flash mode. That way itās easy.
run flasher.exe
home+start (option mode=red LED)
update mode (after LED is red, L3+home or joystick+home).=Purple LED.
After the flash finishes, the LED will be flashing purple. Then run the key sequence again to exit. (2 and 3)
Iām having issues with updating as well, I get into update mode and manage to flash the newest firmware onto the USB, but I canāt exit update mode. When I re-enter the button combination to leave exit mode I am immediately taken back to the update button in the flasher.exe and canāt use the controller, so I have to update it once more and try to leave again.
Sorry but I have to ask again, what do you mean by flasher? The .exe that I downloaded (called ZPPN004-A_V16_20160408)? I re-installed the driver but when I run the .exe mentioned before I can get into option mode but immediatelly when I press the home button (with or without the joystick input) the adapter turns blue again.
So do I understand this right that my stick inputs are not read correctly and therefore it does not start update mode because it registers just āhomeā and not āhome + joystickā?
I just wanted to let you all know that I updated my white PS3 to PS4 converter earlier today with no problems. The process took less than 5 minutes. If youāre having a problem, let me know and Iāll try and help.
Right after I updated, I ran a test first to 5 game set against someone and everything seems smooth. I use a Q4 RAF Ice Red.
In windows ādevices and printersā, do you see āUSB flash or updater deviceā (or whatever itās called) under unspecified devices?
I had the exact same problem for literally an HOUR when I first bought the adapter and tried to flash the 3.15 firmware. Likeā¦an hour. It would just go between red and magneta (I was flashing the TE version) and every time I unplugged and replugged it in, the flasher would immediately say ādevice is ready to upgradeā and the upgrade button would have to be pressed again.
It was only after searching this thread and I found an older post by Zippy where he gave the exact key sequence in order (which wasnāt given elsewhere or in the PDF instructions, and the video doesnāt explain it clearly either), once I saw that, I went through that sequence and was able to exit out on my first attempt.
@Ghazzarro
When you re-enter the combo key to leave exit mode, converter turns from purple to blue. It already setups in exiting mode as ( PS4 wired gamepad ) in the device and printer area.
At this same, you can remove it from a usb port. Please Ignore app go to update mode again.
cant get the second exe to work not sure what im doing IF im doing anything wrong. get the converter updated in the first A no problem but when i get to B nothing happens.
