Brook Converters Thread

Yes, that’s what it says but I thought the Brook would emulate that as it does on the PS4 :slight_smile:

I’m trying to add the TE firmware. Using Yellow PS3/PS4 to PS3/PS4 adapter.

  1. USB driver is installed
  2. Running EXE file for Firmware as administrator
  3. Plugged in adapter connected to PS3 controller
  4. Pressed Home + Start (adapter LED turns red)
  5. Held in LEFT/L3
  6. While holding in LEFT/L3, then pressed Home

on step 6, the firmware does not go into update mode. It exits “Settings” mode as if I had just pressed Home with no LEFT/L3 being held.

Is it because you can not flash downward? (from main to TE mode?)

@Batsu

  1. Please update TE mode again.
  2. Download Normal mode to try, is it the same issue?

@GOGO.Zippy

Having an issue with the .exe update file for 360 to PS4. When I get the converter to update mode and start the update process the converter disconnects midway through.

Hi @GOGO.Zippy I downloaded the latest driver http://www.brookaccessory.com/library/dl_file.php?dir=download&filename=s5%2Bstwwit8q7cmiruRiNYzMRfYeM9A&o_file=XBOX360XBOXONEtoPS4_20160408.rar
My firmware is already up to date since 3.15 (it detects Zeroplus device)

I run the .exe, plug my stick+ converter, and the screen stays the same "please plug in controller"
I have a madacatz round 1 TE for 360

Thanks for your help

EDIT: ok just noticed there’s a http://www.brookaccessory.com/library/dl_file.php?dir=download&filename=5suo5gst5s%2B7cmiruRiPbjwafYeM9A&o_file=XBOX360XBOXONEtoPS4_TE_20160408.rar
that says TE so i’m gonna try this one in the meantime…

Thanks!

@timmytheturtle
Which converter do you to update?
Please select correct file to update your converter.

its XBOX360 to PS4 @GOGO.Zippy so i guess i tried the correct file (if it’s not the OPTIONAL named TE ??)

@timmytheturtle
The OPTIONAL is disabled turbo & remap in Tournament mode.

Ok @GOGO.Zippy so I’m using the right file right ? Why does the screen not change to firmware update when I plug the controller ?

Any other news with the new update?
How about the inputlag?

@timmytheturtle

You said your converter is XBOX360 to PS4, but you use file=XBOX360XBOXONEtoPS4…
The file is incorrect…

Yes I just figured that… i got tricked by the name and didn’t see mine was at bottom… sorry for the inconvenience and the disturbance

Thanks a lot !

Works fine with the new MAJ, thanks for your work!

I was having a similar problem with the white ps3->ps4 converter when trying to add the TE firmware except after the update would successfully install id preform the button combination again to take it out of update move but it would go from a blinking purple light back to a solid and the program would say its ready to upgrade. the only way i could get it out of update mode was to start up the base firmware update and only when that one finished updating i would do the button combination and the ligt would turn from purple to blue.

@AFROMAN117
Like your words…
When that one finished updating i would do the button combination and the light would turn from purple to blue.
>> it works in exiting mode when LED turn from purple to blue. please remove it from USB port.

can you shoot a video?

I went and updated the drivers, but whenever I try to input the button combination to exit out of the update mode, the update starts again and the converter still continues to be purple instead of blue. I have the lime green xbox 360 to ps4 converter. Any tips?

EDIT: Never mind I managed to get it to light blue, but whenever I try to update the B file, it says update failed. In the RAR for the latest update it only came with the A file. Is that the only file we need?

Hello, I’m unable to exit update mode on the ZPPN004-A_V16_20160408 firmware. I was able to get into update mode but now that I’ve managed to do so, it doesn’t seem to be reading my inputs anymore.
I’d like to try flashing the stock firmware and doing it over again, but I can’t find instructions on that (even more so since I’m stuck in update mode).

Had the same problem on the 3.15 firmware. It’s very easy to fix. 3.20 flashed the first time instantly.

You need to do this button combination:

To start flashing:
Home+Start (LED turns red).
Hold L3 or fightstick joystick direction (release start and home first).
Continue to hold joystick direction and press home while holding. Then release (device turns purple).
Hit update on the flasher, device will flash purple when finished.

Then you do the same combination again.

That gets you out of update mode.
I think the problem you have happens when you put it in update mode and THEN you put it in “option mode” while it’s still in update mode. Option mode is also Home+Start. usually you can exit option mode right away, but if you put it in option mode without releasing update mode, it just tries to flash again.
