Not sure which adapter you are using, but the update procedure is similar for all of them. The update package has USB drivers for both 32bit and 64bit systems. Thereās a video GOGO.Zippy posts every now and then with the procedure; search the previous pages. If you donāt install in youāll be able to use the adapter, but not to update.
Itās on brookās homepage: Support/Download/<your system>, but right now thereās no download since they are developing the new firmware.
Iām not sure which converter you have, but if it was working with the PS4 before the Sony 3.50 update then all youāll have to do is the āAā program. Yes youāll have to re download the package you need from brookaccessory.com/download/PS4/ once it becomes available.
True. This will definitely go back and forward. As a software engineer and ethical hacker by trade, I can only imagine how difficult it can be to market a product that works but has the potential to malfunction at a drop of a hat and then needing to reverse engineer a solution in order to fix multiple devices at a brisk pace to keep the consumers happy. After observing what Sony went through with their PSP and hacker by the name DarkAlex cracking their firmware updates within 24 hours of the release. Iām sure they wonāt let something like that happen again so easily for PS4. I hope everything works out. I own a Brook PS2 to PS4 converter and it worked great. Canāt wait to see it back up and running.
I donāt think it is a given that Sony is breaking it on purpose, it could just be that the Brook implementation relies on specific data that changes each OS patch.
Sorry for not providing the latest firmware by original schedule.
For some technical problems, we still need to check to make sure everything works perfect, and we will make it as soon as possible.
Thanks for your understanding.
Thatās exactly what I was going to say. I donāt think Sony is targeting these converters at all and that this process that weāre doing will be normal going forward with each future Sony firmware update.
Iām trying to update my brooks super converter āPS3/PS4 to Xbox One Controller Adapter (Red)ā
The problem is itās stuck at the first screen that says āFirmware Update, Please plug in controllerā
Iāve tried: Different ports, 2 Different PCās ( both running windows 10 64bit ), Disabling windows defender, with/without the ZeroPlus driver and followed the youtube instruction video.
The adapter works with a PS3 controller but Iām trying to update it to make it work with my Madcatz TE Fightstick, I also purchased a PS3 to PS4 Super Converter (White) and the update worked OK allowing my Madcatz TE fightstick to work on my PS4.
The most updated patch file now is available for all PS4 devices.
This is corresponding to PS4 3.50 System Update.
