Brook Converters Thread

I deleted my firmware updater.
Do you know where I can download it again?

The update link has only a PDF file (without the .pdf extension in file name too), has the actual update been taken down? When will it be up again?

from what i know the update for 3.50 is not out yet, they are currently working on it.

Im in the wrong forum, I should be in PS3->PS4. That update has today’s date but its just a pdf.

Not sure which adapter you are using, but the update procedure is similar for all of them. The update package has USB drivers for both 32bit and 64bit systems. There’s a video GOGO.Zippy posts every now and then with the procedure; search the previous pages. If you don’t install in you’ll be able to use the adapter, but not to update.

It’s on brook’s homepage: Support/Download/<your system>, but right now there’s no download since they are developing the new firmware.

I’m not sure which converter you have, but if it was working with the PS4 before the Sony 3.50 update then all you’ll have to do is the ā€œAā€ program. Yes you’ll have to re download the package you need from brookaccessory.com/download/PS4/ once it becomes available.

Guess it’s safe to say this update ain’t coming out before tomorrow.

I made the mistake of thinking the pdf file on their website was the update, because it was an unknown file type.

I’ve got a similar issue. I’ve installed the driver and go to install firmware A and the program doesn recognise my inputs from PS4 controller.

I’ve read in some that sometimes just installing firmware B will do however that did not work either.

True. This will definitely go back and forward. As a software engineer and ethical hacker by trade, I can only imagine how difficult it can be to market a product that works but has the potential to malfunction at a drop of a hat and then needing to reverse engineer a solution in order to fix multiple devices at a brisk pace to keep the consumers happy. After observing what Sony went through with their PSP and hacker by the name DarkAlex cracking their firmware updates within 24 hours of the release. I’m sure they won’t let something like that happen again so easily for PS4. I hope everything works out. I own a Brook PS2 to PS4 converter and it worked great. Can’t wait to see it back up and running.

I don’t think it is a given that Sony is breaking it on purpose, it could just be that the Brook implementation relies on specific data that changes each OS patch.

Can you shoot a video for me?

To all Brook players,

Sorry for not providing the latest firmware by original schedule.
For some technical problems, we still need to check to make sure everything works perfect, and we will make it as soon as possible.
Thanks for your understanding.

That’s exactly what I was going to say. I don’t think Sony is targeting these converters at all and that this process that we’re doing will be normal going forward with each future Sony firmware update.

I’m trying to update my brooks super converter ā€œPS3/PS4 to Xbox One Controller Adapter (Red)ā€
The problem is it’s stuck at the first screen that says ā€œFirmware Update, Please plug in controllerā€

I’ve tried: Different ports, 2 Different PC’s ( both running windows 10 64bit ), Disabling windows defender, with/without the ZeroPlus driver and followed the youtube instruction video.

The adapter works with a PS3 controller but I’m trying to update it to make it work with my Madcatz TE Fightstick, I also purchased a PS3 to PS4 Super Converter (White) and the update worked OK allowing my Madcatz TE fightstick to work on my PS4.

Any help would be great.

Has anyone managed to make a brook converter work with PS4’s newly released PC remote play?

@thelemmings

This function is only for original PS4 controller via USB port on PC

Hi All Bros

The most updated patch file now is available for all PS4 devices.
This is corresponding to PS4 3.50 System Update.

As always thanks GOGO.Zippy!

We tested all and worked well again on 3.50
