GOGO.Zippy in need of a magic message to update my 360->PS4 without an L3.

Mistakes that I did:
Once you finish the update, the converter flashes purple. The application says “UPDATE SUCCESSFUL PLEASE DO THE COMBO”. When you do the combo, the converter restarts. Yet, the application still says “UPDATE SUCCESFUL PLEASE DO THE COMBO”. If you do it again, you will have to update -> Infinite Loop…

If Devices/Printers shows “HID TRANSFER” and the LED flashes, you can perform the update.
When you have done the update, it will show “PS4 WIRED GAMEPAD” and the LED will flash.
Then you enter the combo just once. The converter will stop flashing and glow blue or purple.
NOW YOU ARE DONE.

Also, there is a difference between XBOX360ONE/PS4 and XBOX360/PS4 Firmware, although both converters are green. The XBOX360ONE firmware will still try to update an XBOX360/PS4 converter and fail.

Do I need to do anything differently if using a DS4 controller instead of a DS3?

Trying to update firmware for 360->PS4 converter.

I only have wireless 360 controller, Mad Catz 360 Fightstick, and a DS4 controller. Thanks.

360->PS4 only work 360 peripherals. Please use 360 controller with a wireless dongle or fighting stick to update.
Please try Left instand of L3. If it’s no good, I will send a magic message.

Hi, I just got a xbox360 to ps4 converter and I want to update it because it keeps disconnecting.

But since the stick doesn’t have L3 and I don’t have any wired xbox360 controller, I can’t update it…

Is there a way to bypass that ? I don’t want to buy a wired xbox360 controller just to update the converter

Got the same problem and only got a stick as well. Any suggestions?

So far, the thing works like a dream. My ONLY issue is that “back” does not seem to function as “share”.

We added a function to simulate touchpad and adjusted a few keymap in the latest firmware (-A file_20160206).
So you must to press( back & start ) at the same time as ( share ).
( Back ) equals == Touch Key

We will post and describe kaymap in Brook website as soon as possible.

Hi, GOGO.Zippy! Are you going to release a tournament mode for the latest firmware (i.e., supporting touch key) and any future firmwares? Thanks!

I borrowed a friend’s 360 Wireless dongle and updated my firmware, at which point I discovered why I was having a problem. The stick I use has a TE Kitty and the TE Kitty defaults to PS3 mode when you plug it into anything that isn’t an Xbox 360. I got it to work by forcing it into 360 mode, by switch the stick to RS mode and holding the turbo button when connecting it. It’s a pain in the ass, but better than not functioning at all. I wonder if a PS3->PS4 converter would work better for the TE Kitty, or if there’s a way for the Brook converter to appear to the TE Kitty as an Xbox 360 and thus have it boot the stick in the right mode without the extra steps.

I can finally use my Razer Atrox 360 on my Xbox One. No lag, whatsoever, playing Killer Instinct. I was able to perform all my favorite combos. I highly recommend using a USB extension.
