Brook Converters Thread

I have tried with and without a charge cable in my other usb port. I have attempted connecting with a DS3, a madcatz SE stick, and a ps360+(forcing ps3 with 1P button).

Dear All Customers

Merry Christmas! Brook hope everyone has seen the beautiful Christmas tree!(show me~show me~)

we release the latest version that features:
1.)cancel the turbo/remap function, it is better when you are in the tournament.

Excellent Work GOGO.Zippy! Happy Holidays to you and yours!

Tournament Edition firmware…
Excellent news

Thanks GOGO.Zippy and Brook Team

Are you saying it does work?

I’m confused, @jonyfraze tested and said it is not currently working with PS3/PC HB (cthulu) and Red converter

Thanks for your help with this, I just want to be 100% sure it will work before I purchase everything as its non refundable

I picked up the PS2 --> PS3/4 converter. Is there a way to remap which buttons = PS button and Touchpad key on this converter? Because the vast majority of PS2 sticks do not have L3/R3 buttons.

Hi @roosta
BROOK bought a PS3/PC MC Cthulhu Board, it is working fine on BROOK converters.

Hi @Batsu

There is a button = PS button on the converter.
About Touchpad key, BROOK will use other key to simulate this function

I have two Xbox360/XboxOne -> PS4 (green) super converters. Both of them are stuck in the ā€œpurple LEDā€ update mode after updating to the latest ā€œTEā€ firmware. I’ve tried REPEATEDLY to follow the instructions on reverting back to normal (blue LED) mode, even holding down L3 and hitting home and then releasing L3 didn’t work. Any other suggestions?

I tried to update the A file, but keep getting update loop (cannot exit the purple light, after the red light, i hold L3 then press ps, release it, it back to purple) then i tried the last firmware (ZPPN001-A_V13_20151111). it work fine (went to blue light)

let me know if anyone experiencing this, or just me?

@Katsu @wazwuz
Please use Left key to replace L3 during you updated…and try again.

Nope. I tried holding Left and hitting the Xbox Guide button, and it STILL won’t get out of the purple update mode. This is SUPER frustrating.

I have NEVER used these adapters. I tried to update them right out of the box. I bought them during the Black Friday sale on FocusAttack.com, but I just got around to opening them up today.

What I’m using…

Xbox360/XboxOne -> PS4 (Green) Adapter
A file = ZPPN002-A_TE_V10_20151130.exe
B File = ZPPN002-B_V14_20151126.exe (But I’ve never gotten to this step!)

Here is what I’m doing. With a wired official Xbox 360 controller plugged into the Xbox360/XboxOne -> PS4 (Green) Adapter which is then plugged into my Windows 7 PC with the 64bit USB driver installed so that it shows up as ā€œZeroPlus USB deviceā€, I double click ZPPN002-A_TE_V10_20151130.exe, then…

  1. I press XboxGuide + Start = The adapter turns RED.
  2. I click and hold down L3 = Nothing happens.
  3. White still holding L3, I press and release the XboxGuide button = The adapter turns Purple.
  4. I release L3.
  5. I get prompted to perform the update so I click the Update button.
  6. After it updates successfully, it prompts me to ā€œPlease release the update modeā€.
  7. I press XboxGuide + Start = The adapter turns RED.
  8. I click and hold down L3 = Nothing happens.
  9. White still holding L3, I press and release the XboxGuide button = Nothing happens.
  10. I release L3. = Goes back to purple.
  11. I have to go back to Step 1.

I never get to update the B part of the firmware!

Additoinal Note: I have tried substituting R3 for L3 in the above steps and also the left d-pad for L3 and it makes no difference.

UPDATE. I think it’s the TE version of the -A firmware that’s the problem. I went back and tried installing these two files using the EXACT same steps as above…

A file = ZPPN002-A_V14_20151130.exe
B File = ZPPN002-B_V14_20151126.exe

And it worked perfectly. So be warned. That new TE A-file firmware is buggy/broken!

@Katsu @wazwuz
Thanks your clearly step to describe.
Congratulation !! you updated tournament mode on your converter successful… >> Don’t run step 11

>> The converter shows purple color, you updated successful…

BROOK used two colors (Blue/Purple) to separate normal and tournament mode on PS4.
it’s possible to follow setup turbo/keymap on user manual, in the tournament mode(Purple color on PS4), converter canceled turbo/kaymap function.

I get it, so it was miss understanding. I was wrong interpreting purple led as Update mode instead Tournament mode.
thanks for the update tim.

btw, when in tournament mode we cannot/don’t need Update file B ?

@wazwuz

Sooooorry, BROOK lose some messages to speak clearly how to separate.

You don’t need update -B file. Only update -A file

So I am happy to report that with the latest firmware, the HRAP EX-SA (1st Vewlix redesign, pre-Kai) works perfectly on the Xbox 360 to Xbox One adapter =) It can certainly be added to the compatibility list =)

I’m using the PS3 to PS4 converters

I apologize, but I’m quite not sure I understand what you’re saying here.

Are you working on an update to allow us to remap the touchpad button the back/select/view buttons are on various controllers instead of L3+R3?

@jonyfraze would you mind double checking this? Maybe firmware on your conversater isnt most recent?
