Hey @Brook_Engineer . I can’t seem to get my PS3/PS4 to PS2 Super Converter working on my PS2. I’ll try to be as detailed as possible.
I’ve tried 3 different PS4 controllers (2 original, 1 newer model), a PS3 controller, and my Mayflash F300 (in both PS3 & PS4 mode). I ran the “PS3PS4toPS2_Online_20170726.exe” firmware update before even trying it (probably a dumb thing to do). I tried both the version on the Brook site, as well as the Dropbox link you posted. I try the default firmware update, and then “Controller Compatibility” mode after I test the default on my PS2. Both say they installed correctly. I did this for every single controller, and re-downloaded the firmware update file each time I tried a different controller.
When hooked up to my PC in XID mode, all of the controllers work 100% perfectly as I’ve checked in Devices and Printers, as well as Joy2Key. I then unplug it from my PC, and switch it to PS2 mode. I’ve tried plugging the adapter in before and after the PS2 is turned on, as well as holding the big button down before and after the PS2 is on. I plug in a controller and leave it for a while before pressing the big button, and nothing happens. I try pressing the button a few times waiting a couple of minutes between each time, still nothing. I notice that the red light doesn’t come on in PS2 mode either, not sure if that’s important.
I’ve tried a bunch of different games from different times like Capcom vs SNK 2 (I’ve seen a video so I know this one works), Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution, Street Fighter Alpha Anthology, Gradius V, Way of the Samurai, Lumines Plus… The list goes on.
Here’s links to my last log.htm file, if that’ll help: Google Drive // Dropbox
I think that’s about it. I’m out of ideas at this point and my back is killing me, so I just thought I’d see if you had any suggestions before I try hooking up a different PS2. I REALLY hope I’m just being stupid, and I don’t need to get a replacement. It was a gift from a friend in the states, and the cost of shipping between Canada and the U.S is absolutely brutal.
My PS3/PS4 to PS2 converter works perfectly with my FAT PS2, but it doesn’t work connected to an old xbox through a generic converter like this one. Only directions (on the pad and analog sticks), select, start, l3 and r3 works (I’ve tried pressing the PS button).
so it’s like PS3/PS4 controller—PS3/PS4 to PS2 converter—PS2 to Xbox one converter—Xboxone?
i don’t think it works in that way.
PS3/PS4 to PS2 converter==>the latest product
PS2 to Xbox one converter==>the eldest product, and doesn’t support firmware update
I purchased the PS3/PS4 to PS2 adapter and it works great for Capcom VS SNK 2 but I found it doesn’t work for other games like Alpha Anthology or Hokuto No Ken. When it’s plugged in all the adapter does is flash the red light. I noticed when it’s working in Capcom VS Snk 2 it is a solid red light. Anything I can do about this? I’ve already updated the firmware to the latest on your website.
Please switch the DIP switch to XID, plug the converter to PS2, and then, use another micro usb cable to connect between the converter(the PC port) and PS2(usb port)
So it’s like the converter is plugged to PS2 with 2 cables.
Hello! I’m having some issues using the xbox 360 controller in the Wii U. The two analog sticks (I tested two different controllers) are drifting (moving slowly by itself). The two controllers are working without any issue in the pc and in the xbox360. I’m using wireless controllers. Is there any fix available for this? Thanks.
SUCCESS!! It works flawlessly with a PS3/PS4 controller (wired & wireless), and my Mayflash F300. Thank you so much, I was going crazy for a while there lol.
So I guess you can add the Mayflash F300 Arcade Fight Stick to your compatible controllers list. It works in PS3 mode 100%.
To anyone with a memory card running FMCB, it works just fine.
One last thing, I’m gonna be trying this with everything I can think of that makes sense with a stick. Would anyone be interested in a list of compatible games as I go along? I could always take requests for anything too.
Once again, THANK YOU!!! I’ll definitely be getting another one in the future.

I was trying to connect a dual shock 4 to an old xbox, the classic version (not xbox one or xbox one s), using a generic PS2 to XBOX adapter. It’s similar to the use of the EMS Dreamcast adapter.
I’ll try the new firmware in a few days, it may have solved the problem.
Yeah, under 1.1 I’d noticed that basically half of my fighting games weren’t working, including those two, but after dl’ing 1.2 it appears things are fine now (tested Hokuto and Sengoku X and they’re both working now).
And on the remote chance that somebody was curious, I tested the Switch HRAP on it since that stick does work on the PS3, but no dice.
I’m looking at the PS4 to Switch adapter. Will that work wireless or does it need to be plugged in? I can’t find the product page for it on the Brook site.
Any features you would lose out on using it instead of a Switch Pro controller? Just Amibo support?
Got the brook xbox360 to ps4 converter so i could use my madcatz sf4 pad and mvc arcade stick. My ps4 pretty much slows down the minute i start to use the converter… Ive downloaded the latest firmware and everything
