Brook Converters Thread

I’ve downloaded and tried the update (both the one from Brook’s website and the one you linked) multiple times. Still no luck.

Some more detail
When I first tried to update, it didn’t seem like the converter would power on when I connected it to my computer, as the light wasn’t on and my PC wouldn’t recognize that anything was plugged in
I tried 2 methods:

  1. Move the switch to “XID” and hold the button on the converter while plugging it into the computer to put it in update mode
  2. Plug it into the PS2 (switch to “PS2”) and power on the PS2 while holding the button

Does brook super converter works on zerodelay pcb? Anyone tried to test it?

@voyager
It’s sorry… Not support

Too bad…

Hey I just bought my THIRD brook converter.
Should arrive tomorrow, a PS3/PS4 to Xbox one.

My question is can I daisy link converters e.g. Plug my Xbox 360 to PS4 converter into the PS3/PS4 To Xbox one to get my 360 stick to work on Xbox one?

Does that make sense. Will it work? Will having two converters cause more lag???

It will most likely work, the extra weight might damage your usb port though, just get a 360 to X1 adapter.

what is the game you are playing?
you can move the switch to “XID” and then test the button functionality in Devices and Printers on PC.
if it works, then the problem should be the game…

Just tried the beta version of PS3/PS4 to PS2 converter. I used it with the Dreamcast EMS adapter. It works like a dream now. No lag (at least I didn’t notice) playing CVS2. I used a Universal Brook pcb in this setup.

This folks at Brook are amazing. They brought the same PS2 to Dreamcast Adapter to make it compatible.

I still need to test it with 2 of the same converter is attached to the Dreamcast. So far though, it looks good.

This might have been answered in the past but I have a PS3/PS4 to PS3/PS4 converter and was wondering if this will work with a MC Cthulhu? I plan on grounding the Home button since I don’t plan on drilling a hole for an old TE1 stick I’m updating. Thanks!

SRK TOODLE:Toodles Cthulhu Multi-Console PCB…it’s working

Thank you!

Just adding more to my post.

Did some more testing with ps3/ps4 > ps2 into a dreamcast adapter.

The double adapter set lags behind around 2-3 frames behind a dreamcast stick (well, it is behind 2 adapters).

I would love to see Brook come out with a Ps3/ps4 to Dreamcast converter.

I just bought a brand new 360 to x1 converter, been using my MadCatz SE 360 and it works great. My only issue is when I press the xbox button, it doesn’t bring up the menu, I have to press it on the original controller. Is there something wrong with my converter? Besides that, it’s flawless.

Does anyone have experience with the PS3/PS4 to Xbox 360 converter? The fact that I can’t find it on the Brooks website and only on the Paradise Arcade website has me kinda of skeptical. This is considering the fact that there are so few PS3/PS4 to 360 converter that exist.

Will Brook be developing a AA Battery variant for that adapter?

With luck it will be Li-Po or Li-Ion, and not AA. Why would you want AA?

I’m having an issue with the PS3/PS4 to X360 Super Converter (Limited version @ EVO2016), it works great with DualShock 3 controllers and regular DualShock 4 controllers (the ones with black d-pad + buttons), but it doesn’t sync with the new DualShock 4 Ver. 2 controllers (the ones with the grey d-pad+buttons). Is there a posibility to fix this with a firmware update?

Thank you in advance for your attention and waiting for your response

Regards

thank you for asking.
since that is limited edition, there’s no firmware update for that at the moment.
we are sorry about that, and we hope you understand

Hi @Brook_Engineer . An issue with my xbox360/xboxone to ps4 converter came up today when I turned on my ps4 and it kept disconnecting. Occasionally, it would connect for a few seconds, then disconnect, but it worked without problems up until yesterday. I tried updating the firmware, but it made no difference. I use it a fair amount, so has it just worn out and died? If it makes any difference, I mainly use a 1st party xbox 360 wired pad. Thanks in advance.
